Never once did I feel like there was ever any motive but the well-being of our pets. We recently moved to Edmond, but continued with WVH for an additional 6 months because of how connected we felt to the staff and how satisfied we were with the quality of care. Our dogs loved going there more than going "on a walk." We eventually had to choose a practice more local to us, but there will always be a place in our hearts for the staff at Western Veterinary Hospital :)

Western Vet was our vet when we lived in Stillwater and would be still if we were there now.

It is a small practice and the vet makes field calls, so it can be harder to get an appointment. I'd been with my last vet more than 15 years but he retired and sold it--now it's corporate and staff turns over quickly and the vet I saw there the last time spent all her time upselling rather than the doing the exam I was paying for. Ernest arrived with one shot, needed 5 more, intestinal parasites, AND I found out today (in the emergency room a month later) that my good boy has epilepsy. This is a dog rescue that does not care about its dogs. They're hungry, they're dirty, they're covered in fleas and mind you it turns out they're brought in illegally. They had a third party bring the dogs into the state, and all of them had kennel cough. I've alerted the ASPCA, the AGO, and wanted to reach out to both in Oklahoma. This place needs to be shut down, and the dogs given to a better shelter. The vet who gave the clean bill of health also needs to be looked into for signing off. They said they neutered my dog, but he arrived less than a week later without a cone. What's more is they refused to give me any refund to help cover the astronomical medical expenses that would have been avoided if I adopted in-state. This place only cares about money and not the dogs and I hope, for the sake of the animals, that this place gets shut down by the proper authorities.

Eventually I was able to locate another farrier who put her in "natural balance" shoes and she improved from that point.
