Well, I wish I could be wrong while writing this review but unfortunately this is one of the middle…read moreschools in Rita Ranch that parents involved with the way that they work there warm me about ( for the second time ) , I had a child going to that middle school previously and we had a very bad experience with them before, so I decide to give it another try and give them the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately this is a very disappointing school on the vail district, stuff its under trained and probably bored of listening parents ask for the progress of their kids. I personally try to meet with the principal in charge as of 07/2024 to present school cycle and it looks like she has no time to meet what so ever plus the secretary probably thinks that she is working on a detention center not a middle school being so rude every time I call to ask for different concerns about my student education there, answering like a robot not a human being to just write an email to every one I had ask for to address my concerns not giving me any other choices, some people just go to work for a pay check not to being helpful if ask. so please be aware of this situation before thinking of enrolling your child there unless you want to be mistreated for wondering on the progress of your kid.

However... there are also some really bad teachers, some wasted resourced administration, and support staff that should not be around people period. One very serious note: If you experience bullying of your child, take a witness to any meeting, ask to record it, and then talk. The Vail School District has an unwritten "rule" we have seen in action many, many times. If a student was bullied by another student or even a teacher.. YOUR CHILD WILL PAY AN AWFUL PRICE! They will move your child to another school.. and several parents have come to believe that their child is then "tracked" as a problem. Maintain as positive attitude as you can and when you have a teacher who is cruel or inappropriate, DOCUMENT each and every issue well, even if it is jotted on a calendar. Of our five kids who've matriculated through the system, we have had three just horrid teachers. All but one is gone.. We have had terrific teachers and our kids were happy to go to school, and all graduated and have gone on to Universities. There is a reason that the Vail School District is touted as the best.. it is! Not everything is perfect, and this district isn't either.. but, it is a step into function and support compared to all the other surrounding school systems. (Hopefully Common Core will die away.. but it is at Vail too. until finally common sense becomes stronger as a learning aid to the administration!)

The staff is extremely rude and doesnt like anyone that doesn't fit their perfect conservative standard. I wish i never had to go here!!! I was only there for my last year and they made my senior year the WORST year of my highschool experience.
