It was okay when I went there but overall I wouldn't put my children there and the curriculum was horrible

Some headstones feel authentic, others a bit recreated, but that mix adds to its odd charm. It's quick to visit, a little eerie, and surprisingly memorable. Great value but hours of operation is confusing and different on different platforms.

For a small fee, you get a program book with a guide to the people in their stone-covered graves. You get a beautiful view looking north and a peaceful walk through the stones. Except for one spot. Lady Matilda felt a strong, negative presence at one UNKNOWN grave near the entrance to the graveyard. The first mound nearest the rest room radiated HATE in high concentrations whenever people would wlk past. Matilda felt the heat without our detectors and felt the name "BILL" when she asked the spirit to identify itself. I was tempted to take a stone from his grave to test back at the lab in Peabody, but she also detected that the spirit was killed in a land vehicle accident and so that residual trauma was not something I would take from the site and risk it cursing our rental van. The cemetery also specifically warns you against taking stones or anything else from the site for that reason. The spirits that cannot move on are desperate for any opportunity to do so, so taking their stones may mean you take a poltergeist with you. We can confirm that in an intentional field test. I accidentally scooped up some gravel into my trainers during the short hike. Overnight, a large cup containing melted ice and soda somehow went from the center of my bedside table to the floor two feet away, face down, with the straw driven through the bottom of the cup. There was nothing in the way that could have caused it in my sleep, but it hit hard enough to wake me up and make me think it was my cell phone. The PK check was minimal but the trace energies were tied to the cup and my trainers which were parked at the foot of my bed. The trace residual energies indicates the spirit was just saying goodbye on its way to the next world. Maybe it was "Bill"? Ask at his grave when you visit. We were going to share photos of Bill's grave, but of the 1000 photos we took on this trip, the five we took of his grave were the only ones to glitch. I am having Jack Flaggan analyzing the patterns in those files for more intel on why.

There are a couple of circular racks of clothing and belts. Move on through the store and discover cabinets of knick-knacks like jewelry boxes, figurines, and even Himalayan Salt lamps that would make wonderful gifts for the right person. My favorite part? The craft room! I picked up some rolls of fabric and zippers for my sewing projects. I apologize I cannot speak for the clothing prices, but I believe I walked away with a good deal. Less than $10 for all of my goodies.

I popped in to check them out on a Friday, and was sad to be the sole customer inside of the very spacious former furniture store that was Atha's. FYI, as I understand it, Friday is when most serious bargain hunters hear a mystical horn in the distance, signaling the beginning of the race to discover hidden treasures. Penny's was exactly what I'd feared, an old fogies' perpetual garage sale, more trash than treasure. Yeah, I'm saying that the Salvation Army would reject most of what I saw hanging on their racks and carefully arranged on the display tables. They aren't lacking variety - they had tons of nicknacks, books, clothes, housewares, and furniture. Such a shame that everything was past its prime & outdated, without the necessary nostalgic flair to be considered vintage. The whole scene made me feel horribly depressed, 'cause I just know that the sweet old ladies that were there were really excited to price and stock the store with all of that stuff. *sigh* I wish these weren't such harsh times, ladies of Penny's. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe Sierra Vista is the perfect niche market for your vision, maybe there are enough people in town with sentimental mindsets, who yearn for some of yesteryears flavor. Maybe, just maybe...
