Boyfriend and I tried to visit this place on Cinco De Mayo -- bad idea, super packed, wait time was like 2 hrs for the two of us. We decided to come back a few weeks later and were seated in about 30 minutes or so. Small place. Parking lot is a little congested and hard to maneuver around. food was really good. big portions. they also serve chips and a variety of dips, 4 to be exact, which the boyfriend and i enjoyed very much! we ordered the guacamole which the make tableside which is super cool. i ordered the california burrito, boyfriend ordered one of the enchilada dishes.. but i forget which one and he enjoyed it as he devoured it all! i only ate maybe a third if my burrito and had to pack it to go as it was huge! definitely plan on coming back ! read more

Was on my way back to Providence from Logan airport and began to crave Mexican food. I'm now going to drive the 1/2 hour to get here whenever I'm feeling that longing! This was the best almost-local Mexican food I've had in recent memory, and bonus, I learned the history of tequila from a poster on the wall. We had a teeny booth for two in the walkway between the bar & full-sized tables. But the booth was cozy and our table managed to hold a whole lot of food and beverages. Complimentary chips (warm!) and three salsas, plus beans. Loved the spicy salsa especially. The guacamole was worth it too - heck, yeah it was worth it!! My vegetarian tacos were maybe a bit scant on filling, but the filling I got was yummy. I LOVED the black beans, served in a small fried tortilla shell, since I'm not a huge fan of refried pintos. Can't believe it took us so long to try this place and now it's become one of the main restaurants on our weekly rotation. It is hands down the most authentic, friendliest and efficient Mexican restaurant within 10 miles from home. We've gone twice so far and can vehemently attest to their amazing tableside guacamole. Do yourself a favor and order this if you want a genuine Mexican dining experience. Another delicious must-have for the meat lover is their Molcajete, which is an awesome assortment of various meats that are nicely seasoned and presented beautifully on a hot lava pot. Mix that with the side of the rice and their pico de gallo and you will be in heaven! 5/5 for both. The Diabla Shrimp and Pescado Veracruz house specialties are also decent. The Diabla Shrimp is MUY CALIENTE so if you can't do spicy, you should not order this dish. It was even spicy for a veteran like myself although it was very appetizing. On the opposite spectrum, the Pescado Veracruz was very mild in flavor and I would ask the server to add a little more seasoning if I ordered this again. I would also swap out the mashed potato for the side of rice instead. It just goes together much better. If you still have room for a sweet ending, do order the churros. Crispy and sweet but not too sweet. Highly recommend them! read more

Most times I have a bad experience at a restaurant, I just don't go back. This was so terrible that all of us at the table agreed it was 1-star review worthy. - Walked in, looked at by staff, and ignored. One of the waiters/bussers noticed nobody had said anything and told us to hold tight. - When we sat down, the waiter had a BAD attitude. Like, walking away as we were talking. Drinks took forever, and were bad. - We ordered an appetizer, which took 35 minutes to come out. He gave it to us and walked away and we had no plates and no silverware. We had to ask for it. A table that was sat after us received their appetizer first. - When ordering our meals, the waiter rolled his eyes and gave my boyfriend a thumbs up after ordering. I have no idea why. He didn't ask to change the order or substitute anything. - Our order took about 45 minutes to come out after our appetizer. Between then, we had no drinks. We reordered before the food came and were almost done with our food and they STILL were not out. We asked them to cancel the drink order. - My burrito came cold and had RAW sweet potato. RAW. Like, chalky raw. Couldn't put a fork through it raw. I had to pick it out. - My boyfriend was served last. His food came out about 15 minutes past ours. - My cousin's quesadilla did not come with cheese or sauce as described on the menu. We told the waiter, who offered to being it on the side. It took 15 minutes for him to bring it, at which time we told him forget it and to take it back. - When we brought all of this to the attention of the waiter, he said "I just serve the food, I don't cook it." This place looks so promising from the outside. We just moved around the neighborhood and always pass by and say we need to check it out. The place is pretty tight to be honest. The complimentary chips are good, they taste fresh and they are warm! They also give you 4 salsa's to choose from. I didn't order any drinks because I was fringing but they had a nice selection of cocktails and fairly priced. The food was underwhelming. The chimichanga, which I ordered, was small and only filled with the meat. With the rice and beans on the side. Usually, chimichangas are deep fried burritos ( rice beans meat etc inside) topped with cheese. My sister got the Mexican biter which was flat. At least the Fries were hot. Mom had a salad and didn't finish it because she was not too happy with it. Very watery and the chicken was cold. We probably won't be back. read more

Excellent Mexican! Really enjoyed the jalapeño margarita and the tacos (corn shell of course!) were perfect!! My son had the chicken enchiladas and was also a big fan (he didn't mind that the chicken was on top of the enchilada!) Service was very good. The waiter was friendly and the food came fast. - It wasn't a full 4 stars since I lived in San Diego before and always travelled to Mexico so I'm super picky with my Mexican food but this place does it relatively well for the east coast. Nice to know there's always a place for me to go to whenever I've craving Mexican. CONS: - Nothing in particular. I wish the portions were a bit bigger and that's saying something since I don't eat much. It's a minor factor to the overall experience. SPECIFICS: - Chori Pollo = The rice it came with was well seasoned and moist. The chicken was tender, not too dry which has always been my problem with ordering chicken at a restaurant. I ordered take out. It was super busy in the establishment and people were very close together. There was plexiglass between the patrons. I ordered the California burrito. They gave chips and salsa which was nice. It came out to 14.00. The food was okay. A minor problem is they got my order wrong (chicken instead of steak). But a major problem is that I got food poisoning ;~;. I've never had food poisoning from an eatery (even those taco stands on the streets everywhere in Cali). I don't think I'll be eating the leftovers. :( I miss my burritos; but no more Massachusetts burritos for me. read more

You bastards have been hiding this place from me. I work in Quincy. Quincy does not have good Mexican food (anymore) and when you need good Mexican food, nothing else will do. But lo, in the distance, what is it? It's Cielo! A bearable 10 minute drive from Burgin Parkway! Cielo does not deliver, and it's website can only be described as 'minimalist', having only their address, hours, and an application form. But the tacos... the tacos are excellent! I grabbed a beer and ordered some Baja fish tacos and wings to go. The atmosphere was colorful, musical, and cozy. I can only imagine this place fills up completely in the evenings. After getting back to work I braced myself for some soggy tacos, but I was disappointed... or, not disappointed. Whichever means 'good' in this case. The breaded fish retained its crunch, the flavors were light and complex. So happy! I'm attaching photos of my take out tacos and wings. Take out photos are kind of unfair as they're never going to look as good as in house presentation, but I want you to see what you actually get. Oh my gosh, hands-down the most Disgusting and worse Mexican food I have tried since I have been in Massachusetts... the meat tasted straight like meat with no seasonings and even had had the meat smell to it... also felt very rushed and that's probably why the spices did not take; and the meat and queso dip...Oh my gosh was gross. The queso was very watery and runny. The margarita..terrible.. they just threw random stuff together and it came out like some type of juice.. I have been drinking margaritas for years and also make my own and I will tell you I have never tried a margarita like this..ewww... I went there because the reviews went so well... and I don't know what's going on, but it was terrible if you like strong flavor and have a good pallet... this is not the place for you! Absolutely disgusting and my friend that got something totally different. Agreed we both couldn't even finish half of our meals. We literally took a few bites and called it a day. His taco shells were frozen. I wish them the best and hopefully whoever they got cooking back there learns to really know how to marinate their food and give out better quality and flavor and as well as the bartender they really need to get some practice on their drinks... The food is great and very authentic. The reason for lower rating is because the invariably mess up our order every time we do a take out. Missing rice or missing tortillas last three times we ordered. When we complained once the person taking the order said, "we might've run out of it", instead of apologizing. Seriously!! Have been wanting to try this place for a long time and on the spur of the moment we ordered a Build your own Taco Bar to go. The managers, Orlando and Jed, were both very accommodating and offered some great suggestions for add on and sides and their suggestions on quantities were spot on (well, quite a bit of left-overs, but who doesn't like that!?!) We got the pork and the chicken taco bar, added a few sides like the the Guacamole Fresca, the plantains, pinto beans, and the pickled onions. All were awesome! The Nachos order was soggy and sloppy, but probably best not to order it to go. I bet the dine-in version is just as good as the rest. We'll be coming for dine-in in soon! read more

I was so excited to come to this restaurant and we drove over 45 minutes to get here. We waited for five minutes to be seated. There was no one at the bar and no hostess. We were finally seated in the corner and left unattended for 15 minutes without being greeted and given water. Two ladies who came in after us were served and waited on within 1.5 minutes. They received their water, chips, and guacamole, and their drink orders were promptly taken. We were not checked on, so we left hungry. I am not at all impressed by this place. I was so excited to have a New Mexican place open close by and every time I have been it's been a bust. It's very small. Not much you can do about that but it not entirely comfortable. Last time I went I ordered the California burrito and it look like an enchilada. I even asked the server to confirm it was a burrito and she said yes! I thought the taste was mediocre, and normally am excited for leftovers but didn't take it home. They were very busy especially on weekends. They had made a mistake on our order. Once we had realized, the restaurant was out of our way.
