Got lunch and got out and had a chill time doing it. Edit: For Management / Owners: The women's restroom needs some TLC in order for it to feel like a safe, comfortable space. I have not been to a cc pizza since I was in college in Springfield Missouri over two decades ago. Quite honestly not much has changed. I do have to say that back in the day they did not have pasta and the salad bar was not as extensive as it is now. I enjoyed every minute of reliving the nostalgia of my college years. The manager that was working was fantastic and really nice. She made my favorite pizza which is the barbecue beef pizza and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Went there yesterday for a Father's Day dinner. They were extremely understaffed and the pizza was always out. I was there for an hour and that whole time they never had their brownies or cinnamon rolls. I felt bad for the staff because all the customers were upset by there not being food at a buffet. The updated interior of Cici's is modern and fresh giving the place a much better atmosphere than it had previously. The layout of the tables and the expanded arcade area is nicer, as well. There were cleaning issues, as mentioned in other reviews, but not for lack of effort. The staff was constantly working, clearing our plates, sweeping and mopping. The place is just really busy. The food quality remains the same as I remember it but the service was lacking. Cici's used to great ever customer upon entry and offer to make special pizzas upon request. During the entirety of my last visit, I didn't hear the classic greeting one time and am thinking maybe that isn't something they do any longer. My son and I decided on a pizza request but we're denied our choice of crust option. Apparently, there are more limits than their once were. As for buffet offerings,I was glad to see they still offered a great Italian (OG style) dressing for the salad and my son wishes that there was soft serve offered like at similar pizza buffet chains. We were able to catch part of the Royals game and enjoyed our visit but there is definitely room for improvement. read more

I am so impressed with the management of this shop, was greeted when we walked in, paid for the buffet and asked if there was any kind of pizza that we would like and I jokingly said anchovy and with a smile she said that they could make one, she said it's not requested often so she would make me a personal pizza. I had a bowl of soup and a salad while I waited, the soup was hot and the salad was fresh and cold, worth the price right there. Watching the crew work, they were engaged, positive and busy. Everyone knows that this place has subpar pizza but sometimes as parents we look past that because of the cheap price. My biggest gripes are that they don't take responsibility for everything in their building. Something as simple as the token machine they have. They have a token machine to buy tokens. One would think that the video games they have there would run off those tokens. But when you finally approach the video games they don't run off of tokens but you have to buy a card and charge it to play video games. I approached the manager about getting a refund. I would take that refund and then buy the video game cards. But all I got was the answer that those are n ot owned by cities. We don't take responsibility for the video games since it is an outside company that runs and owns them. How difficult would it be for them to give me my refund or whoever this happens to and then them work out all the refunds they had to give with that company that they allow to bring in video games to their restaurant? Instead they would rather let this lose them business. What this type of thing does is create a ton of one time customers. It definitely does not create repeat customers. read more

There are two 4' sections for pizzas and one 4' section for desserts. My main gripe was not enough selection on pizzas. Pizza street has em beat on that...on desserts too. It's been awhile since we stopped and was looking for something reasonable priced so we decided on CiCi's. I'm glad we did, was greeted when we came in, the manager said they were limiting pizzas to save from wasting (it was around 3:30) but if we wanted something he would make it fresh, what they had available was great, the salad bar was fresh and my favorite the soup was delicious! Cici's has been a favorite pizza place for over 8 years now. I still remember the very first time I went to Cici's during my intern days in Des Plaines in 2005. I really like the concept of pizza buffet. On my recent road trip from St. Paul to Austin, I stopped over in Kansas City and went to Cici's in Liberty for dinner. The pizzas were still as tasty as I remember them to be and the price is a very affordable under $5. There were at least 3 vegetarian-friendly pizzas and up on request, the staff made a couple more types of pizzas just for me even though it was 5 minutes to close shop. At the end of my meal, I asked one of the girls who works there what they do with the leftover pizzas and she told me that they throw them away. That felt so wrong when we have millions of people dying every day due to hunger and starvation. So, I wrote to Cici's on their website about this issue and asked them if they could find homeless shelters near their store locations to send leftover pizzas at the end of each business day. I was very happy and surprised when the manager of Cici's in Liberty contacted me two days later and thanked me for my suggestion and assured me that they are taking care of my suggestion and have actually narrowed down on a shelter that would benefit from this suggestion. I am positive that other Cici's locations will follow suit and make sure nobody within the vicinity of a Cici's sleeps on an empty stomach. read more

I ordered a pepperoni pizza on Uber eats. I get the pizza and instead of having tomato sauce it has some kind of white sauce. Nowhere on their website does it say this particular pizza has white sauce. As a matter fact I don't know of any pizza that has white sauce except for the Alfredo pizza. When I called to talk to someone they informed me that that particular pizza had white sauce and when I pointed out it does not say that on their website he offered no apology or even attempt to make it right. Great little fresh salad bar. 3 kinds of pasta also. Overall the pizza was lacking some spices. I added pepper and red pepper to mine. Loved the salad bar. I just have no complaints. I've been to a few Cicis and they hardly ever have options. Didn't put out fresh pizza but this one had so many options. They were always putting out something new. The salad bar was clean and the lettuce looked good. None of it was old and nasty. I would go back here! If you're looking for a cheap and fast dinner or lunch I would definitely go here. Having eaten at several of these chain stores this one definitely stands out! It's actually a couple of steps above any others I have eaten at, like for example the CiCi's in Columbia Mo. The difference is the guy in Liberty doesn't have kids running the store. He is there running the place with passion! Everything from making pizza to clearing tables to serving customers and personally checking on everyone to make sure they are enjoying what they have paid for. From the hardy greeting at your entrance to the thanks for coming exit this place is definitely a great pizza place!! Not sure what happened to this place. We have gotten sick the last 3 times eating here. I usually see the manager there and i havent seen him in a while. Probably why its going downhill Fast. Plates piled high on empty tables,cold pizza,undercooked. Half the buffet was empty. Floor dirty bathrooms filthy game room smells of old urine and corn chips. We are done. This Cici's is always consistent. I'm not expecting anything gourmet when I go there. (Though I do love the macaroni pizza and for awhile they had a Kansas City BBQ pizza that I just loved) I am expecting to not pay a lot of money and get what I pay for. Their employees are always very nice and cheerful. The pizzas are constantly being refreshed so everything is always nice and hot.
