I was a regular at this location for years. Probably visited it 3 or 4 times a week to have some after work beers with friends. The last two times my wife and I have gone it was a ghost town inside. No service to be found. We've actually walked put the last two times because we were never served. Today we came in, there was no one at the hostess stand. We sat st the bar and waited for a good 5 min or so. There was no one behind the bar. No one greeted us. There were other patrons at the bar that were clearly frustrated waiting for service as well. I would say its honestly time for this location to shut its doors. I would encourage others to avoid this place like the plague and hopefully it will die the death its already experiencing, leaving room for something better to move into this great location. Simply going to echo what's appears to be the trend at this Old Chicago. Not one for long reviews just bullet pointing our experience: - went in at 2pm on a Saturday. Literally one couple in the restaurant, that's it. Should have been our first tell. -soft drink line couldn't have been cleaned in months as a foul stench came from my glass. Asked for another Diet Coke and even the serve said "others today have been saying the soft drinks taste funny". Tried the second Diet Coke and yep foul odor again from the glass. - kids PLAIN hamburger came out as cheeseburger with everything on it. You know how kids are, won't touch it even with scrapping everything off. - they forgot to put in our pizza. Ended up finally getting g it after another 15-20 min. - Not sure if I've ever seen the amount of grease on the top of a pizza. Ate half a piece and couldn't stomach it at that point. - to summarize it was so bad that our boys, who still had a dessert to order as a part of their meal, said they didn't want it and just wanted to leave. Too bad as Old Chicago's food is typically outstanding and I do suspect this to be isolated to this location. Regardless we won't be going back anytime soon. We rarely visit this restaurant because we have always had some sort of an issue, whether it was a service issue, an issue not getting exactly what we ordered or food quality. Everytime, there has just been something off. It is sad because we live nearby, so this should be somewhere we could go regularly. We are a family of five, so we don't keep going to places where we consistently have issues because with five, it is a lot of money. We go places where we know food and service is going to be consistently good. It was just mom and dad tonight, so we thought a beer and pizza sounded good, so we gave Old Chcago another try. We kept noticing all the servers congregating around the bar. The servers weren't on the floor and we could hear other tables complaining. We had salads brought by someone wha wasn't our waitress. Our waitress didn't come by to make sure they were okay. Our pizzas came like a minute after the salads which is never good. The ceasar dressing was so salty, it was inedible. If our waitress would have checked on us, we could have relayed that. The pizza was really, really good tonight though. The entire time we were there, the servers kept going to the bar and standing around, then they would all walk back into the kitchen We couldn't figure out what the deal was. The dining room almost completely cleared out pretty quickly. We were planing to have another beer, and just enjoy our night out, but decided we would rather just go home. When we asked for our check, our waitress commented on how quickly the dining room cleared out. We commented that service was spotty tonight and we heard othere commenting about it as well. We mentioned how people were noticing all the servers congregating around the one woman at the bar. I kid you not, out server said "well, she had popcorn." So apparently, bring popcorn if you want good service here! How tacky and inappropriate for all the servers to be congregating around someone at the bar eating popcorn! This only helped us remember why we don't come to Old Chicago. Oh, and all the outside lights were off tonight. Initially, we thought they were closed, but they were probably just not turned on because the staff had popcorn to get to and forgot to flip the light switch. read more

This was the worst pizza I ever had. I mean this old Chicago on Booth Road. They overcook the pizza they overcook the wings. I ordered cauliflower pizza. I don't know what I got. I got something that was bread well done and I had to throw it away I believe we need to leave Chicago Pizza in Chicago. I will never order from these people again nor eat the food that they give out Their wings were overcooked the pizza they made a mistake on that I ordered and then they go and put the chicken on top without even making me a new one. Haven't been here in awhile. Used to come frequently but the service had gotten pretty bad. Giving it a 5 this time because of Nicole! She was the bartender and our server. She was so friendly, and thoughtful. We had a beer and Buffalo rolls and ordered burgers to go. I will say the Buffalo rolls were a lot smaller than they used to me with way less filling and no celery which I guess they don't do anymore. But they still tasted great! The beers were nice and cold and our burgers we took home were made to perfection. And Nicole made sure we receive all the condiments we needed with extra napkins. We waited to be greeted at the door for several minutes before anyone acknowledged us, crazy since there was only one table seated inside and two on the patio. Sat and was slow to take a drink order, beers sat on the bar for close to ten minutes before they were ran to us. I was served the wrong kind of wings and while they gave me those to have while the right ones cooked, i discovered they were RAW inside. We visited Old Chicago for lunch and decided to order a pizza. We were impressed with the many different crust styles, including a gluten free cauliflower. We ordered the Chicago 7 with the Chicago style crust. The crust was excellent. Not overly doughy. The toppings were plentiful, with plenty of sauce and cheese. We also ordered Caesar side salads. The lettuce was fresh and not overdressed. Service was great. Our waitress, Carrie, was attentive, making sure our drinks were refilled and that we had everything we need. read more

The food sent out to me tonight was undercooked and unsafe. We ordered spinach artichoke dip, and it was literally cold/uncooked. It had cheese shreds/sprinkles on top that were not melted. The pizza dough was undercooked and raw. The dough stretched further than the cheese, which was burnt. The chips were an odd texture, almost like how I would imagine eating a kitchen sponge would be. I got a partial refund from DoorDash, which is just inexcusable for the amount we spent on this meal. The person working that kitchen clearly knows what they are sending out is unacceptable. Are they trying to discourage ordering from DoorDash? If so, then why not just take the restaurant off the app instead of sabotaging someone's meal? There is no chance someone looked at this food and thought, "Yes, that's good to go." And now we are out a meal and a tip. The driver still gets their money because they delivered it, which I understand, but now we are out that money as well as tax and fees with no dinner to eat. read more

It's not even something small like missing sides of ranch (which they do), but it's the entire pizza is wrong, the crust is wrong, every single time. The customer service when ordering on the phone is horrible. They have no clue what they are talking about, they are way too confused, they don't know their menu, they need to be trained. I loved this restaurant pre Covid. It's like a ghost town now which is sad, but after my last couple visits, I understand why. The menu has never returned in full. What little staff is left is untrained. Maybe it's time to up the pay or something to entice new employees to join your team? We visited this Liberty location as a party of five for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. Upon walking in, we were informed there were only two servers and we would have to wait. There may have been only six or eight tables seated, but okay. With all the open tables, we found one and sat down to wait. The server approached us again and told us there were only two servers and we would not be allowed to sit down to wait, corporate rule. My parents are in their mid 80s, not sure how long she intended for us to stand in the corner and wait. At that point, we decided to leave because we felt very unwelcome. She came to us as we were getting up and told us there were only two servers again. We said bye. Having spent many years as a server myself, I realize this is indicative of poor or no training. In those moments of being slammed, I would always seat guests, gets them some drinks and menus, tell them we are a little short staffed but I'd be back as soon as possible. Guests are more patient seated with a drink in front of them. Reminding guests that there are only two servers three times is not appropriate and guests are there for fun, not gloom and doom. I wish I had gotten the name of this server because she may perform better as back of the house than in front. Also, we checked out the patio. Do you not ever wipe down the tables out there? There was garbage on the ground and the tables were disgusting. Wire mesh tables are easily wiped down just like indoor tables. We actually wanted to sit outside but not in that mess. This place has great food, however the calzones never have toppings in them. More than the food, their waitstaff is TERRIBLE. The multiple times we've been, the staff has been horrendous! Start by firing the management of this restaurant that would help. We were seated fairly quickly but took 10 minutes to get waters, 30 minutes plus to get our food barely saw our server. Now on to the food. Kids burger was burnt and I mean BLACK, wife's salad the chicken was bone dry and the pizza was undercooked. Took me asking a second server to get a new bun for kids burger. Told our server I wasn't paying for the kids burger. Managers never stop by to and ask how our food was even though I spent 5+ minutes trying to flag a server down. The managers walked by our table multiple times and there was clearly issues with the service and food. But with those dip sh$^s running the show no wonder. We have given this location 3 tried, more than I usually would but we had bought the $50 card last year before covid and are just now finishing it up. My husband got the Chicago fire calzone- they had to have dumped at least 2 full cut up red bell peppers in there, they were huge chunks that just fell out bc there was not enough cheese portioned to keep it all together. Then my husband discovered a clump of carrots in there- uhmmm ? And coincidentally the waiter came up as he was inspecting it and asked 'everything good?' And he asks 'are there supposed to be carrots in the calzone?' 'I think so' uhmmm no! No we had the menu pulled up to make sure- I said it doesn't say that in the description... she walked away WHAT? I thankfully had the Mother's Day free entree coupon because they did not do anything. My crust was burnt and they hardly coated it around the edges with sauce? Such a weird experience. A group of us decided to order pizza for our break at work last night. one of the group has ciliac disease and must have gluten free so I ordered a cauliflower crust pizza for him. There was something wrong with the pizza because he became very ill later that night and was still extremely ill the day after. My friend (I hope he remains my friend) had to go home from work and loose a day of overtime pay due to this. I came here around 11:45am on a Saturday. There was plenty of parking and not too many people here. I sat at a high table near the bar with a view of a few flat screen TVs and outside. The menu was the same as what was on their website which was good. I researched what I wanted before I came. They had a variety of foods out side of pizza so there should definitely be something for everybody. My waitress, Dani, was really nice and friendly. I ordered a large Chicago 7 pizza ($24.49) and a soda ($2.49). Everything in the Chicago 7 pizza sounded good to me. I waited quite a while before the pizza came out so I watched TV. In the meantime, my waitress asked if I liked beer and I told her yes and what kind I liked. She brought over three different beer, but I forgot the names of what I tried. The Chicago 7 pizza came out and it looked good. It tasted good as well and I would order it again. The type of crust was the Chicago Thick. I ate half of the pizza before I gave up and wanted the rest in a box. Overall, I thought this place had good pizza and would probably come back to try other things on the menu. read more

I was a little unsure of trying this place due to all the negative comments. But the pictures on both Yelp and Google Maps convinced me to give it a try. So I pay them a visit! Sitting down at the bar I order an I-35 Pale Ale and The Whiskey Bleu Burger. In just a few minutes the bring me a gret steak burger! They take a steak burger, crust it with black pepper, serve it on a bed of creamy bleu cheese sauce, top it with peppered bacon, balsamic mushrooms and drizzle it with a tasty whiskey sauce. They serve it with lettuce and tomato. It was hot, juicy and tasty. The sweetness of the whiskey sauce and the moldy bite of the bleu cheese made this burger delicious. Very tasty indeed! Although I've never been to Chi-town, I can only imagine the food tasting like Old Chicago. A classic pizza/pasta joint with a taste of Chicago deep dish! I enjoy their meatballs a lot, they will even make you a meatball sub and it's not even on the menu! They change their menu around every couple months so you can always try new things! They also change their beer menu too! We ordered the thin crust which features their sweet pizza sauce (it was good if you like sweet sauces, next time I'll do classic) a beer pretzel and cheese calzone and even a fried Mac and cheese sandwich.
