I'm so happy that they have opened a new location closer to my house! Bandirali gelato is by far…read morethe best I've ever had. This new location is beautifully decorated. The reason I give four stars instead of five is 1) seating is reserved for those ordering bigger, more expensive gelato creations, you can't sit if you have a cone and 2) the woman who made my cone really skimped on the second flavor! I will try to chalk it up to the newness of the place and hope to update my review to five stars once they have time to settle in!

But when I saw they had tiramisu and Toblerone flavors I had to get both. The two of us shared a small cup and it came with two flavors which was plenty for a quick gelato stop for us. The tiramisu flavor was so creamy and rich in flavor. So was the Toblerone and the chocolate pieces were big. I'd highly recommend this place.

This one is located near the duomo and wasn't too busy despite the presence of their breakfast menu and multitude of tables. There was definitely a small up charge to sit at the tables which was of no bother. The affogato felt oddly satisfying in the morning, though the vanilla gelato was more the texture of ice cream. Maybe they save the real gelato -- which are kept in the small covered metal containers -- for the actual gelato orders?

I'm usually not a fan of touristy places to eat but this place is amazing!! Grab and go. I was there on a weekday and somewhat early so there was a short wait - maybe 3 minutes. Expect a line if you come during peak times. I tried: tomato and mozzarella), Prosciutto e Mozzarella, Salame Piccante e Mozzarella. ALL were really good. If I had to pick one I would pick salame piccante e mozzarella. The bread is also just perfect and it can get crowded so everything is fresh!!

Yes, it is a little bit "touristy", but lots of fun. They have savory (such as prosciutto and cheese) and sweet (chocolate). If so, divide and conquer: One person find a place to sit (steps in front of the cathedral?) while the other goes to order and bring back the goodies.
