We had an hour and a half phone conversation a few weeks before the wedding where they made sure to have all of our favorite music for each part of the ceremony and reception, and even ensured they had the correct pronunciation of our wedding party for announcements! They've been in the business for a while and it clearly shows. They made sure to adhere to our "do not play" list and also took requests from guests. The sound was clear, volume was just right, and everyone had a fantastic time on the dance floor! I particularly appreciated how flexible they were with us throughout the day. Our photos were taking a little longer than expected so we had to push the timeline up a bit, and they didn't mind at all. We had a couple years of positive experiences but something has changed dramatically recently. I…read morecould detail my many minor frustrations with the lack of communication and what seems to be intentional deceit with moving students between classes without notifying parents, but I feel the two major incidents that caused us to leave will speak for themselves: In the last week and a half my daughter was first directly given a known allergen by a staff member, causing an ER visit and extremely stressful day for my whole family. To be clear, this was not an accidental exposure - she was handed a cup of milk despite having a well-documented allergy to milk. Yesterday, my daughter was sent home with dried feces caked on the back of her shirt from a BM that occurred at 10 AM. She was walking around all day with a significant amount of feces on her. Based on the fingerprints and smudges she was touching it frequently, so it is fair to assume that everything she touched and even the other children she interacted with were exposed to the potential bacteria and illnesses known to be in feces. When I called to address both issues their response essentially amounted to 'mistakes happen.' Obviously this was extremely upsetting given these two incidents so close together, which clearly indicates a larger issue. After a tense but professional phone call with the owner I was told my daughter was no longer allowed to attend, effective immediately. Luckily we were already making plans since we didn't feel she was safe there anyway, but I was still appalled that rather than bear responsibility they chose to dismiss it. I am truly fearful for every student in that center. I don't know what it is happening but there is a clear lack of appropriate management and it is putting kids' well being at risk.

Every day, she surprises us with how much she's learned: letters, words (English, Spanish, and sign language), colors, animals- and she genuinely enjoys it. Sometimes, I have to work to entice her to leave! As two working parents with often opposing schedules, the on site chef is a major convenience as it leaves one less thing for us to worry about. The staff is warm, patient, kind, fun, and engage the kids in a variety of activities to keep them learning and having fun. They readily chat with me about her day and answer any questions I may have. I get daily reports about what she's learning, eating, dsiaper changes and potty training, naps, and loads of fun pictures! She's not always an angel and they apply patience, thoughtful boundaries, and kindness in helping her learn the appropriate behaviors. I had to chime in and improve the rating as one person had a different experience eight years ago and gave one star, but we truly value this business and wanted to share our experience.

There were costume changes, bubbles, a light show, music, a puppet show, the list goes on and on. The adults enjoyed it just as much if not more than the adults. I always try to top the year before with my son's birthdays parties but there is no way to top Chikitaki so I guess I'll be seeing them again next year. I'll definitely be seeing them again next year.

Why all of this fun you ask well it's because they have a great team of party entertainment to cheer them on and actually they (particularly one of the gals who looks like actress Maria Conchita Alonso back in the day) is dressed kinda of like a cheerleader complete with Go-Go boots which gives adults like me something to enjoy. They provide music, songs, professional DJ, party lights, clowns, costume characters, face painting, contest and games, photography, puppet shows, and a whole lot more for up to a couple of hours to give your little ones a party to remember. I must say that they did wrangle up all the kids and kept them entertained for a long time well at least they weren't jumping on me and I got a chance to eat some food. They gave a nice interactive show involving all the kids and kept them busy. A few tears came about when Elmo came out, always same reactions with Santa too. They watch them on TV and in the picture books but yet face to face with the characters they get scared....... I don't get it..... anyway my friends thought that they were great I thought that they put on a nice show for the children everybody was happy. They arrived on time did a great job and I don't think their prices were too high at all but they have different packages available so adjustments are made to suite the needs of the event. So good entertainment group for kids at least 2 and up they also adjust activities to medium age of the party goers and they even get the adults involve with the little games too so be ready to look crazy but it's all good.

He has a very simple and efficient set up with lights and sound systems. What was really impressive for us were the music videos that he played that went with the music. Once we saw that and saw/heard his transitions we knew he was the DJ we wanted. We had an unusual theme for our wedding, we did a costume theme "Talk Nerdy to Me" and Paul was not only happy to work with us, but he also had some awesome ideas on how to truly make it our own. With the video screen package, he was able to do movie/you tube clips and a slide show. When it came to getting strange and unusual music, Paul was able to do it with no issues. We asked for quite a few songs that were not in his database including traditional Chinese and Estonian Country music and he was able to get it with no issues. His online planning system made it really easy for us to put our Ceremony and Reception plan together. All of my guests LOVED the music choices. Part of it was our doing in putting together a song list, and part of it was Paul reading the party and playing accordingly. He even accommodated my niece's request for the Hokie Pokie. Don't take my word for it, Weddings are not the gigs he does in the DC area. Watch him in action and see for yourself. At the last minute, he wasn't going to be able to get his equipment out to us in time so I found Paul and reached out to him. Paul told me he was available and met with us in person. He was reasonably priced and we couldn't have lucked out better for a last minute booking. Even though our friend couldn't DJ, Paul let him do all of the introductions which was really sweet. He even let our friend take the reigns and do a couple songs! Paul never felt like our friend was stepping on his toes and we really appreciated that he let us do that. Paul kept the party going from the beginning. I've had so many people since the end of our wedding telling me how great our DJ was. We had a weird mix of twenty somethings and sixty somethings with not much in between. Even still, Paul was able to judge the crowd and keep people dancing. I don't think there was a second all night long that people weren't all over the dance floor! His online portal is very straight forward and easy to use. I was able to put in many details and everything we wanted to hear was played at our wedding. Paul is also not one of those DJs that keeps interrupting songs to talk. He knew when it was appropriate to interject and when it wasn't. My husband commented that this was one of his favorite things about Paul: his professionalism on and off the dance floor.
