Being 76 years old and having broken my ankle in 4 places and needing 2 plates and 8 screws used for the repair, l expected a long painful recovery. I had no pain following surgery. I took Tylenol the day after surgery but that was it. In less than 2 months from surgery I was completely healed! Able to walk and exercise with no pain and full use of the injured ankle. My range of motion in my broken ankle was better than my uninjured ankle​. I give Doctor Shi full credit for a great surgery and an outcome beyond my expectations. I just realized that most of his high rating came from Yelp accounts with 1 or 2 review. This was pointed out to me by a fellow Yelper. I hope everyone else who is thinking about seeing Dr. Stein takes note of this. Okay. Dr. Stein's staff was friendly and polite. I think that's the only good thing about his office. First Appointment: Dr. Stein saw me at a late appointment and I was very appreciative of that. I brought him x-rays from my MD since I was complaining about some foot pain. He first started out asking me questions about my pain, which was normal and I felt that he was actually diagnosing me. After listening to my complaints, he then starts to tell me EVERYTHING that is wrong with my foot/legs. He tells me I have knocked knees (i have no idea what that means), flat feet, something about my enlarged toe bone is sticking out too much, and just everything else! Gosh way to make a girl feel secure huh doctor? He told me we were running out of time and that he wanted me to come back at another appointment to get my custom shoe soles made. (I got suckered into buying them) Second Appointment: I got molded for my custom soles. Then he told me he wanted to take another "view" of my foot on x-rays because the ones I brought him didn't show a certain angle. But then he told me to make another appointment for that since we were out of time. I said okay fine. Third Appointment: At this appointment he seemed to have completely forgotten everything! He asked me the same exact questions he asked me on the first appointment. I thought he wrote it all down?!?! Then he tried to sell me another product. He didn't mention anything about another x-ray or that he wanted to run anymore test. At this point I was irritated and just wanted to leave. I was told to set up another appointment to get my custom molds. I said fine, whatever. At the front desk, I found out that I was being charged for this "exam" where he only asked me the same questions he asked the first appointment. I was furious! But I understand that I took up the doctor's schedule and was liable to pay for his time. So I fussed up the money. Fourth Appointment: He gave me my custom molds and again tried to sell me another product and try to prescribe me pills. I got out as soon as possible and avoided making anymore appointments with him. Later, I found that I was being charged with the exam ($75) that I had already paid before leaving! I tried called their medical biller and leaving messages, but no one ever called back. But the bills just kept on coming. So finally I went to the office with my credit card statement and the receipt THEY gave me to prove that I had already paid. The front desk apologized and told me I shouldn't be receiving anymore bills. Next month, I receive a bill!! I think this continued for about 3-4 months where they told me I wouldn't receive another bill, but I did before it was actually resolved. HEADACHE!!! I wouldn't recommend Dr. Stein. Please be aware that he will try to sucker money out of you and sell you product you might not need.

The furniture is all torn and worn, the walls look like they haven't been painted since the '80s, the ceiling is falling apart a bit, and even the medical equipment looks worn and torn. While it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing venue, it did not have any detrimental impact on the quality of care. The staff is friendly, and the physicians are some of the best you can get. By the time I saw Dr. Mostaghimi, my pain had worsened. She quickly identified a bunion and limited range of motion in my big toe that were contributing to my capsulitis. She provided an offloading pad and specific stretches to work on. Within just a few weeks, my big toe mobility improved, and my capsulitis pain decreased. She also gave me advice on how to correctly tape my toes for capsulitis. She advised me to order a soft silicone liner for offloading the fibromas in my heel. I am truly happy to have found Dr Mostaghimi after struggling with worsening foot pain for years. She is very kind and attentive. Thanks to her expertise, I can plan a small vacation and not dread walking.
