Always great food when visiting. The service is top notch, and the drinks have a wide variety with top shelf selections. A great selection to choose from on pizza, pasta, salads, and meats. It can get pricey as we spent a few hundred on our party of 4, but we enjoyed the full experience. You can go less as well.

Go to this restaurant for the ambiance and drinks. Not the food. It is an outdoor restaurant with cute bistro lighting. We went in the evening and saw a beautiful sunset. The drinks were good. The food was okay. It did come out cold and didn't really have flavor.

There must some confusion. Ciao AT THIS LOCATION IS NOT IN THE HARDROCK AND NOT ON THE BEACH. This review is for the Ciao restaurant at this location. It doesn't serve lobster tails. Ok, this place was recommended to us and since we were in the mood for Italian (wife) and steak (me) we headed on over. Before we left I looked at the menu from their website. Ribeye steak $399p. But the restaurant menu had $699. Big difference. I brought this 300p difference up to the waiters attention. He agreed it needed to be updated but that the difference is the ribeye is now USDA Prime, which was indicated on the paper menu. Ok fair enough. I wanted steak and ordered it. The manager Ever came out to discuss the price issue. He showed me pictures of the menu on TripAdvisor that customers posted showing $699. I showed him the restaurants own website that showed $399. He agreed it needed to be corrected and they would work on it. I'm good with that. Issue resolved. Now the food.. I'll be darned but the 12 oz prime ribeye was more like a 16 oz prime ribeye and was definitely prime. Great seasoning and cooked medium rare as requested. It came with grilled zucchini, sliced potato and mashed potatoes. I'd say $35 worth for sure Wife who is vegan ordered the bruschetta and pizza. She said the bruschetta wound have been enough and after the 1st bite said we're coming back. My Caesar salad came in a bowl so I didn't have to fight to keep it on the plate and was perfect. To make up for the price confusion they offered me complimentary tiramisu. I intended to take a couple bites to be polite but ended up eating most of it and I'm not big on it. The outdoor setting was great. We went right after Sundown and they had large fans. The entertainment was incredible. She's there every Sat/Sun at 8:30 and can sing like a bird. Highly recommend

This restaurant was such a letdown after all of the other restaurants at Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta. It was far too packed with far too few wait staff. They waiters and busboys were working so hard, but just couldn't keep up with the demand. My husband had to go find a bottle of wine on a steward table to refill his wine. Our cocktail never came. We saw it sitting at the bar so went and picked it up ourselves only to find it watered down. We also didn't receive the salad we ordered so after waiting about 20 minutes, we requested it from who looked to be the (also overworked) manager. The restaurant is beautiful outside and the oceanfront view is spectacular, but the interior design was lacking. For decor, gourds and other fall accoutrements (this was February) were sparsely placed in large basins where they serve buffet-style meals for breakfast. The acoustics of the building made for a loud meal. I'd like to say the food was a saving grace, but it simply was not very good. The breads were a strange consistency, certainly not Italian in structure and substance, and a bit dry. Dressing on the Caesar salad tasted like mayonnaise and there was far too much oil on the house salad. The chef salad was really good. I couldn't eat the gnocchi. It tasted like squished, boxed mashed potatoes. The marinara, though was really good. I was really looking forward to trying the desserts, but we left because we didn't want to wait another thirty minutes. Instead, we went to a cafe where I ordered a sandwich. I hear their breakfasts are great!

Our favorite Italian restaurant at the Hard Rock Vallarta. Overseeing the beach, a great place to have a glass of vino and enjoy the amazing sunset. We like to start with the beef carpaccio and the INSALATA CESARE. Lately they also added some humus that while not a true Italian, does add to the Mediterranean atmosphere. We generally skip the pastas and going straight to the meat. My favorite is the MARE E MONTI (the filet mignon with the red wine reduction). As for dessert we like the TIRAMISÚ and a side of ice cream.

Good but not great. I'd recommend the pizza. They're busy and you have to make a reservation for dinner so do that ahead of time.

Hey there! You absolutely *have* to hear about this mind-blowing dinner we just had! We ventured…read moreout to La Capella the other night, and honestly, it wasn't just a meal; it was an entire experience, fantastic from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly left. First things first, the setting is straight out of a postcard. Picture this: you're perched high up, gazing out at this unbelievably beautiful, sparkling blue sea, with an old, quaint church adding character to the horizon. It's truly a dreamscape, especially as the sun begins its descent, painting the sky with the most incredible colors. Seriously, it's the kind of view that makes your jaw drop and your worries melt away. Pure, unadulterated magic! Our evening was made even more special by our fantastic waiter, Jarod. What a star! He was genuinely charming and incredibly attentive, always there right when we needed him without being intrusive. He kept everything running smoothly, offered great suggestions, and truly made us feel like royalty. His warmth and efficiency really elevated the whole vibe of the night. And then, the food... oh my goodness, the food! It was nothing short of culinary perfection. I couldn't resist ordering my beloved pork osso bucco again - it's become my absolute favorite there, and for good reason! It arrived unbelievably tender, practically melting in your mouth, and every bite was an explosion of rich, delectable flavors. Just as phenomenal as I remembered, if not better! Honestly, every single dish that graced our table was impeccably prepared and utterly delicious. Seriously, if you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, you *must* put La Capella on your list. And here's my golden nugget of advice: make sure to grab an early reservation. Trust me, you absolutely do not want to miss that breathtaking sunset; it transforms an amazing dinner into an absolutely legendary one. Go on, treat yourself - you won't it.

I made reservations a few weeks in advance and we were able to sit on the terrace to enjoy the views. They had live violinists (three!!) that were playing, it was so romantic. I loved the violinists, they were all so nice and friendly. I got the guava martini which was good and I ordered the spageti bolognese, which was tender and flavorful. The dish was solid with a nice presentation. They also brought out complimentary olive bread with parmesan grated cheese which was really good. The food and drinks are pricey! For the 4 of us including drinks and dinner, it ended up being almost $70 per person. Service was just okay, our waiter was a little stern and we had to flag to get his attention a few times. I would definitely come here for a special occasion, for the beautiful view and ambience.
