I'll start off by addressing why its only getting 4 stars not 5 if it was so good: well, they don't have wifi and it's impossible to get a signal up there - ok maybe that's poor form from me but I am unfortunately one of those annoying people that lives on his phone and like it or not I'm going to judge places based on whether they make that easier or harder for me! Now onto the good stuff - the food! Myself and my girlfriend both went for Pizzas; me being plain jane having the Margherita, the missus option for one with Gorgonzola Cheese and Ham. The Pizza's are stonebaked so you get a wonderful flavour to the base and the toppings were equally as enjoyable! An ample helping of cheese but not enough to over power the basic and mild flavours you expect with a cheese & tomato pizza! For dessert we shared a chocolate brownie (aka I had a chocolate brownie and my girlfriend got to take 1 very small bite) and it was really tasty - well accompanied with some vanilla ice cream. A nice bottle of Australian Chardonnay topped of a very enjoyable meal in a lovely countryside setting. A great local favourite finally enjoyed!

I pass by Dolce at least once a day and it is normally always busy - lunchtimes being the peak, and at that time you may have a slight wait for a table, but the positive side of that is that Dolce is located inside a home furnishings store, Global Interiors, which means you can go look around the store until you're ready to sit! Once seated you're in a for a treat - they have a lovely, albeit not huge, menu serving up some great Italian inspired dishes. I've always opted for the pizza here but my parents both had different pasta dishes and really enjoyed them. There is a really relaxed and enjoyable vibe in here and the waiting staff are great, especially the front of house - a energetic, friendly Italian man who adds to the charm of the place!

If you get a window table it can feel a bit surreal sitting there eating as traffic backs up next to you in rush hour, but all adds to the charm. They are open for breakfast through to evening meals except no evening dining on a Monday. If you go in the day time you can add on a browse round the furniture shop which sells gifts also. Ideally situated for a pre cinema meal. A wide selection of food on the menu but can recommend the pizzas which have a lovely thin base.

Chianti Bar & Restaurant - Mural room

Chianti used to be a pub, and it's hard for them to escape that when you see the outside of it,…read morelooking very much like other traditional boozers in the area. However, when you decide to give it a try and walk inside, you realise it's a genuine nice quality Italian restaurant. It doesn't feel like a pub inside. It's warm, pleasantly decorated with wall murals and Italian themed artwork, and welcoming and friendly staff. Even the music that plays is a mix of both traditional Italian trattoria style music as you might expect, but also modern Italian music, which is a nice touch. We're seated by one of the mural walls, and given some menus. The offerings are classic Italian, but at a reasonable price. When I notice that there's the option to have any of the pasta dishes as a starter option, I ask for a carbonara. The waitress tells me that it's actually the same price to go for a full normal sized carbonara, and I could simply take some home with me... I like her thinking! We order a garlic bread to nibble on, and a starter of carbonara, and the home made chicken liver pate. Both arrive in good time. The carbonara tastes fresh and creamy, and is perfectly seasoned. The chicken liver pate is light and creamy, full of flavour, and served with light toasted rounds, and a fruit chutney. Really pleasant. I had to force myself to stop eating the carbonara so I would have enough room for my main course! The staff were happy to box up the remainder for me to take home. For our mains we decide to order the penne pasticciata, and the pizza agrodolce respectively. As we wait for our mains, our drinks are kept refreshed, and we chat with some of the members of staff, who are friendly and warm, and happy to tell us about the decor and details of the venue. The pasticciata was perfectly cooked, deliciously creamy, with plenty of meaty filling, and covered in a wonderful melted mozzarella. Very tasty, and a huge portion... very filling indeed. The pizza was definitely a hand-made base, which was perfectly crisp and had a semolina crunch to it. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and managed to stay light, rather than many pizzas suffering from heavy and gloopy toppings. It was delicious, and also predictably, I also had to take some of this home too! As I was now stuffed and content, I sadly had no room for one of the delicious looking desserts (I'd stood at the desserts chiller counter earlier, staring through the glass like a child at the window of a sweet shop). However my partner refused to throw in the towel just yet, and ordered some chocolate profiteroles. The profiteroles were light and creamy and well complimented by the caramel sauce. The citrus zest grated on top of the cream was wonderfully fragrant, and gave the dish a fantastic little zing. All all, the food was excellent and generously portioned considering how reasonable the prices were. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and the staff were attentive and warm without being intrusive. We will most definitely return. Don't judge this book by its cover, it's not just an old pub, and it's not pubby inside, it's lovely, and a real Italian treat.

I almost feel bad giving a 3 star review considering the price, however the quality of the food…read morejust wasn't 4 star worthy. Midweek (mon-thurs) they do any pizza or pasta for £3.95 - so on a Tuesday evening when we couldn't be bothered cooking, we thought we'd give it a go! I started with a glass of Pinot Grigio which was nice, the girlfriend had a glass of the house red (Merlot I think) and we shared a cheesy garlic bread which was nice also! The main course (the £4 deal) is where I was let down, I opted for cannelloni and I love cannelloni so I was really excited! The sauces where great and it was piping hot (probably too hot) but the meat underneath was really dry and tasteless which gave me the impression it was a microwave job! However, my girlfriend had Lasagne and said that was fantastic - so maybe I got a one off bad dish! For the price, you can't really argue either way can you!

It's a really nice place and the food is good - I had Tagliatelle Della Casa which in their words is ribbon pasta cooked with chicken, ham and peas in tomato cream sauce - all I know is it was very tasty. If I'm being picky there could have been a higher chicken to pasta ratio but none the less a great dish. I came with my family for my brothers birthday and each enjoyed their dish; my dad had Linguine Con Gamberoni - prawns and scallops with linguine, my mum a Risotto and the little brother a pizza - everything spot on! In a decent spot for a date night, a family me as I did, or somewhere to grab a quick meal before a night out as there are several nice pubs nearby. It's not setting the world alight, but with an extensive menu, competitive prices and good quality food, Ericos is a solid bet.

I didn't think the food was amazing and the large menu includes some random dishes e.g. Mexican that make it pretty obvious they are not trying to be an authentic trattoria etc. Nevertheless, the garlic bread with tomato was fine and although I didn't like the slight sour sauce on our prawns very much, they were at least good-sized ones. Overall though, that starter is not good value at over £7 for 4 prawns. For my main I got cannelloni which wasn't greatly above supermarket ready meal standard but you can't go too wrong with meat, melted cheese and tomato. My bf's mum had ravioli which was served on a massive plate covered in orange sauce - I thought it looked like it had way too much sauce and also the colour was weird. However, she ate it all so it can't have been that bad! Boyfriend's pizza looked ok but due to his hangover he didn't even get through half!

We booked a table for 5 people and were 25 minutes late sitting downing a Tuesday night. There were loads of people in the bar area waiting to be seated. Monday's and Tuesday's are busy as they run a 3 course for £12.95 deal of any starter, any pasta or pizza and a selection of desserts; which in itself is a very good deal. The food quality was excellent and drinks were fine, my main gripe is with the service. It was slow and with huge gaps between courses. After the starters we had to ask how long the main course would be and after coffees we decided to go to the bar and pay on the way out as no one came for us to ask for the bill. Overall, I would recommend visiting but expect slow service if you go when it's not really quiet.

My starter of fried mozzarella balls looked distinctly of the 'ready meal' type. They arrived what seemed like seconds after ordering and could not be described as hot! Overall very disappointing.
