Lefkowitz. She soon moved to their Coventry office, and I drive about 50 mins to get to this office because she is THAT good. Let's be real with one another, talking about the doctor who looks over your lady parts is not necessarily proper dinner conversation, but man is it important to find one that you love. Let's start with Dr. Lefkowitz's staff. Awesome! Top notch, super friendly, and are always there to make you smile. The office is bright and has plenty of magazines, informative brochures, and fun calming music. The staff that helps look over you in the beginning are very gentle and kind, and nonjudgemental. Dr. Lefkowitz really gets to know each one of her patients. She takes the time to find out how your overall health is going, finds great conversations, tells you funny stories about herself, and before you know it, you're done with your appointment. Honestly! You sort of forget what was supposed to be happening down there, and you are ready to go! She also takes care in checking the "girls", and reminds you how to do your monthly self exam. The installation device malfunctioned and the strings got stuck in the device. The Nurse Practitioner then had to take the IUD back out. Yup. All in one session-i had to get one put in (extremely painful) and then taken right back out (also extremely painful). I almost passed out. Then she kept telling me how rare this is-as if that's going to make me feel any better! I couldn't get up, because of the pain, and she had zero empathy. She was pressuring me to get up and leave after lying down for only 5 minutes. IT WAS AWFUL!!! My second visit was with a different doctor, and I was hoping it would be better. Sadly, this doctor was also terrible. He was rude and made me uncomfortable. I was there to talk to him about getting my tubes tied because I know I don't want kids, and I don't want anymore IUDs, nor any hormonal birth control. He didn't even introduce himself. He walked in and started with a snarky question-"so how many children do you have?" And seemed pleased with himself. WTF? I said none. I explained the nightmares I have had with IUDs, multiple serious risk factors for giving birth, plus my age (in my 40's), and being sick of negative side effects hormonal birth control. Getting tubes tied seems the best option to me. I also know my body can't handle having children. He told me that women who haven't had kids are likely to regret getting their tubes tied. And he wasn't telling me I couldn't do it-but that he didn't recommend it. Ugh. And then told me just to use a calendar and to plan to not have sex during my most fertile time of month. WTF??? That's your answer?? He was acting like it wouldn't be a big deal if I had a kid. ITS MY BODY AND MY LIFE BRO!!! This guy had a weird attitude with me, and was judgey about me wanting to get my tubes tied without having had children already?? I would not recommend this practice!

I was naive and new to the area so I didn't look around before finding obgyn care and this place…read morewas accepting new patients. This was my first pregnancy and honestly this is the worse quality of care I have ever been given in my life. The office staff is extremely unprofessional and rude and they constantly cancel appointments. One time in my second trimester I didn't see anyone for 6 weeks. You rotate through midwives and they are supposed to check your chart but they never do. You have to tell your medical history every time. There is supposed to be an ob that oversees your care but my ob retired and no one notified me for months that no one was overseeing my care. I had pregnancy complications and have multiple doctors I see and it was one of my other doctors that was like hey I can't get ahold of your ob to ask about how to move forward with your care. They have lost all empathy for their patients and are just going through the motions. I don't recommend them especially if it's your first pregnancy and you don't know what to expect so you are looking for someone to explain things to you. I don't want to get too personal on here but some things I experienced made my husband actually think I was being discriminated against and it seems like some other reviews of this office on different platforms express similar concerns so take that for what it is.
