Leading up to the date I was slightly concerned about using services from people I never met. We arrived in NY on a Thursday picked up our marriage certificate on Friday and ended our weekend away with our wedding on Sunday. I can honestly say working with Alex and Joan made our weekend that much better. From the moment they arrived they took care of everything. My bouquet was everything I wanted. Since it was just the two of us Alex understood our desire to keep the ceremony short and sweet. Joan then took us on a tour of Central Park capturing the best pictures I could have imagined. He also regaled us with stories about the park and which movies/tv shows were filmed in different sections. Only our immediate family knew that we got married so I wanted to create an announcement right away. By the end of the day of our ceremony Joan had provided me with 15 sneak peek images to use for the announcement. About 2 weeks later we had the full gallery of images to choose from and create our Video slideshow. I took my time to select the right images for the video and song. I received the slideshow today and I am in awe of how perfect it is. I will cherish this video for years to come as watching it brought me back to the exact emotions I was feeling during the ceremony. Many thanks to Alex and Joan for everything you did to make our day fantastic.

Alexandra was very helpful during the rushed 3 week process. She was responsive and never let me hanging with any questions I had. She also let my husband and I put together our owe vows and was 100% supportive of all changes made. Joan was no different. He was definitely the best photographer we could ask for. He spotted us before we spotted him! Alas! He was shooting photographs of us the moment we entered our ceremony site! Very upbeat, professional, warm-hearted and just overall a great experience. What really struck us as amazing service was the way Joan worked around my husband's injury and still produced excellent photos. Even though my husband was in pain and not in a great mood which forced us to cut our session short, he did an awesome job working with us to make things right. Would not ask for anything more! Thanks again for everything, we have already shared our wonderful experience with everyone we know and would only want others to experience the amazing service we witnessed.

One of the first decisions we made was to hire a day of coordinator, and finding Megan was a true blessing. From the early stages to the day of, Megan was on top of everything. The first time we met in person- about 4 weeks before the wedding - Megan asked questions about the sequence of events that I would not have imagined on my own- turns out wedding attendance does not equate to planning experience. While we retained Megan's services for Day-of-coordinator services, she made herself available to planning questions leading up to the wedding. Megan is very responsive, attentive and really great to work with. Our wedding day ran on time, to my own surprise, thanks to Megan's careful and detailed planning. She kept the vendors in check and helped out with the set up for my DIY wedding. I cannot think Megan enough for her diligence and attention to detail.

My (now) mother-in-law immediately booked a wedding event planner who's known as "the best" and we began the planning process almost 2 years before we actually said "I do." Welp, turns out "the best" was a complete nightmare, more so because he didn't give 0 you-know-what's about my vision, getting to know us as a couple (or, as people in general) and basically wanted our wedding to be a cookie-cutter version of all the others he's coordinated. A mere 3 months before our wedding I couldn't take it anymore and we finally fired him, which felt freeing until I realized we had assembled an incredible dream team of vendors, but had no idea how to pull it all together for our big day. After getting a recommendation from our amazing photographer (Kelsey Combe) and reading glowing reviews, I reached out to Kate, desperate and nervous. We immediately connected with Kate's calming, soothing demeanor on our first phone call and she was (thankfully!) willing to take on our wedding and right all the wrongs of our previous planner. Kate was an absolute angel (and I don't say this lightly!), who was patient, kind, insanely organized and professional and went above and beyond in executing my original vision. She fully embraced all of the wacky ideas we had (vinyl records as party gifts? sure! multiple disco balls? okay!) and brought so many out-of-the-box ideas to the table as well. Using her software, AislePlanner, made even the most annoying aspects of wedding planning (the dreaded seating charts) fun and simple. There's no rest for the wicked? False: there's literally no rest for wedding planners. I have no idea how Kate does it (and I'm a detail-oriented interior designer myself!), but she expertly crafted our best day ever and was the voice of reason (while being a kick-ass coordinator) on the day of our wedding. I cannot recommend her enough and am super jealous of all the future brides who get to work with Kate. A million times thank you to you, Kate! xx

I initially was with another planner who got very sick and was recommended Berenice. I was apprehensive with the wedding jitters changing planners, but it was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Berenice was organized having multiple portfolios with my vision in tow. Multiple layouts pictures, and google docs to create my vision meeting her on the first day after just one phone call. She explained everything in detail and nothing I wanted was over the top and we ALWAYS stayed in budget. With a planner you want someone who is creative so that things that may be financially out of reach they can manipulate and create it for you. Berenice did that multiple times. My guests were astounded with the details all spear-headed by Berenice. Everything I asked for I got and then some, nothing was out of reach. Up until the day of the wedding Berenice had added all these details that made the guests really in awe. On my wedding day Berenice made sure everything ran smooth and on time having walkie talkies lookin like the CIA! Did I mention all the vendors that she found that were high quality but gave us good prices because they knew her (One that made us a wooden seating chart decorated with beautiful greenery). Berenice is also a calligrapher, and wrote out all of our wedding items in this beautiful cursive! I can't put into words how awesome she is. More tellingly, she announced my wife and I, two women, as Mr. and Mrs. Our parents, friends and family members were shocked and visibly upset. When I asked Rachel about it later on, she did not respond to my text message. Instead she unfollowed my wife on instagram. Days later my wife sent Rachel an email calling her attention to what I already communicated on night of July 26th and sent the email below. I can understand a mistake, but its unethical and unprofessional to not respond or issue an apology. Too, even if this has never happened before, it and you should have held yourself accountable in the moment and issued an apology. However, as hurt and disappointed as I was, I wasn't shocked. As a marginalized African American lesbian woman, I felt betrayed that even on my wedding day, someone could feel that entitled, make a detrimental mistake and still not issue an apology while being paid to perform a service. I would not recommend Reverend Rachel to officiant another wedding. In fact, I strongly recommend that she take a break, a sabbatical to get closer to God.
