I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! Although they are very busy (for obvious reasons), they promptly replied to every email, text message and phone call. They went above and beyond to serve as referee, counselor, mediator, and fixer. I cannot accurately describe how reassuring it is having a go-to (or two) to put out any fires or better yet, prevent them before they started. For brides-to-be, you will not find a better planner with more solid contacts in the industry. For grooms, cut the check! In retrospect I would have paid triple what they charged for the quality of life and piece of mind leading up to the events, and for the smile on the face of my beautiful bride on the day of. Tables were reserved for us in the back of the ship which was ideal. Everyone received a complimentary cocktail and there are several snack food choices available to purchase (ie fish and chips, pretzels, etc. In the lower level, is the bar and you place your food order and the staff brings your food directly to your table, piping hot. The scenic route is just so relaxing and the vibe on the ship is so friendly and upbeat. The star of the ship, however, is DJ Esco. Oh my!! DJ Esco played music from my era (1970's) thru the 80's 90's to present. He knows how to get a party started and keep it going!! It was one big lovefest, from the children to the seniors on the dance floor and if not dancing, singing from your seat or while taking in the views. Happy Birthday was sung to all the birthday folks and though the time just flew by it felt like we had been cruising longer than two hours. A time was had and will not be forgotten! This was my mom and I's first time aboard the Emerald princess and it was something I've had my eyes on for quite sometime. I was very interested in their fall foliage cruises but was unable to get around to booking. A brunch cruise came up on my instagram feed around the time of my mom's birthday and decided to treat her. We departed at 11am and circled around by West Point and came back. It was a beautiful Saturday morning with smooth waters and blue skies. The boat was very spacious, comfortable and welcoming. On the table they had a lot of Peekskill attractions to encourage you to venture out around the town. After departing at 11am we were served complimentary mimosas and the brunch buffet was opened shortly after that. The spread was wonderful. They served eggs, bacon, sausage, two types of quiche, pancakes, seasoned potatoes, penne vodka, chicken francese, assorted muffins and fresh fruit. Everything was served hot, fresh and delicious. The buffet was not self service but it was opened right up until a few mins before the cruise ended. There was plenty of food and no shame in going back for seconds or thirds! They had a friendly bartender that had soft drinks, waters, wines/beers and cocktails made to order. The views were amazing from the upper and lower decks. We had access to the entire boat. The owner came around to greet everyone and surprised us when she announced that if anyone wanted to drive the boat the opportunity would soon come! My mom was thrilled. There is a picture of my mom actually steering the boat in a captains hat lol! I loved seeing her happy and knew I made the right choice booking us tickets with R.M.S cruises. On a Sunday morning we were the first early bird group to arrive. Located on the third floor by Bath and Body Works, the doors opened a bit before official store opening at 11 am. There are various bookings throughout the day/evening and you'll be prompted to sign a waiver. The actual story could have been more direct and clear especially when you only have an hour for the experience and you're trying to maximize time and accommodate different reading levels. And they had an overemphasis on needing to unlock various locks. The room and mystery lacked depth and it was confusing which clues applied to which lock. It would have made more sense if the clues had been more sequential and only applied to a specific lock in the vicinity. Some of the clues also seemed a little silly. They could also have designed the experience to use props or walls in the room more. I'm guessing all the rooms are designed in this way. Pricing could also have been more clear; ordering online includes an online ordering fee so you should probably call. There's a slight discount for 4 or more people and for veterans. And if you sign up for their rewards program you save 10% but each person has to sign up, and they have to ring each person up separately to apply the rewards so then you don't get the volume discount. While they do have locations in various states, I can't imagine visiting 5 times in a year to qualify for one free visit. Their automated purchasing system just wasn't very customer friendly.

The other team was so loud that we could barely hear the clues and instructions coming through the outdated tablet. It completely took away from the experience. We ended up winning with 20 minutes left, which honestly says a lot about how simple the room was. Save your money and go to Puzzle Parlor in White Plains instead the experience there is SO much better. The one positive thing I can say is that the employee working there was absolutely wonderful. He was so sweet, helpful, and genuinely kind. I honestly felt bad for him having to hear all the negative comments about the place because he was such a doll and did his best. Other than the amazing employee, the whole place felt old, worn out, raggedy, and in desperate need of an upgrade. Then there was an almost $20 credit card fee, which made the experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, I really can't recommend this place. Not worth the money at all.

I have known her since 1992 when we worked in the same building in Woodbury where their first store was, they are now in Syosset since 2000.
