A very special place in a tiny village in the French countryside. You basically have your run of a 17th c. chateau for however long you stay, which is pretty awesome. Manicured grounds to stroll, rooms in period style, and a great home-base for exploring the many tiny villages and small cities in this beautiful part of France. In fact, you can just drive in and out as you please - no valet and free parking right out front. Staff are very friendly and helpful, but unobtrusive. Meals are an experience - a sort of length and formality not seen in the US, but if you have the time to relax and unplug, it's a beautiful setting. Our room was surprisingly functional though - great Wi-Fi that we were able to use on Zoom calls, nice bathroom, comfortable bed. Quirky property, but we really enjoyed ourselves! read more
