The checkin is brief, and I feel the security officers have ownership, and act as a host of the dispensary. They give me the sense their priority is to keep people safe, and I value that greatly. On my third visit, Veterans Day, I was informed I had a brother protecting me. My Devil Dog brother wished me a happy Veterans Day, and thanked me for my service. That brand of genuine connection I've come to expect from Compassion Union. It is that kind of compassion that make our service worth it. My second visit, a kind soul, very knowledgeable budtender, a knight in shining armor...Amaris. Ms. Amaris' spell bounding customer service was second to none. She acknowledged me. She welcomed me, and exercising some wonderful form of wizardry continued to cultivate compassion for a battered and still battling soldier. But first, there was Arthur. Arthur made my first visit to Compassion Union so dope, I came back for more. I found the selection of flower, concentrates, edibles, and topicals with THC and CBD adequate, without being overwhelming. Quality brands curated, displayed masterfully, and priced competitively. The house brand, Cure 420, is a must try. Best is subjective, but if cannabis is the subject, and the San Fernando Valley is the place, Compassion Union has my vote. Thank you to the owners, management, and staff for authoring a story happy from the beginning to the end.

On certain days deals can go as low as 10% off, while some others can go as high as 30% off, which comes a long way when it comes to shopping for edibles. The customer service here is top-notch; someone is always helping you. This place never has anyone on their own, which is great, and they are always happy to help with your needs and your questions. I had multiple situations where I needed substitutions when an item ran out, and they always suggested the best substitute. My wife is always happy with their recommendation. I can't really speak for their other products, as we are not smokers; we only come for the CBD edible to help sleep, and they have some great options. Highly recommend this place.

Especially disappointed as I had come in specifically because the staff had reminded me about the sale 2 days before. Why would you cancel a long standing promo the day it runs without informing your customers? I will not be recommending or spending my money here any longer. There are much better dispensaries in the area that have respect for their customers.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I was disappointed with how this situation was handled…read more I brought back a new disposable before using it because the wax looked unusually dark and I was concerned something might be wrong with it. I was told that the dispensary had contacted the company and that the wax was supposed to look that way, so they would not accept the return. The employee then told me to make sure I preheated the device and inhaled slowly, because otherwise I might not get much vapor from it. That already seemed like a strange warning for a brand-new disposable. After using it, the device became increasingly difficult to get a proper hit from. By the time it was about one-third used, I could barely get anything out of it, no matter how much I preheated it or how slowly I inhaled. A disposable should function properly without requiring constant troubleshooting. I understand that stores have return policies, but I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously, and I ended up stuck with a product that did not work reliably.

It's the kind of place where you can reliably find something you're in the mood for without it feeling overwhelming. I also really enjoy the customer appreciation events, even though there aren't as many as there used to be. Even so, I appreciate that they still put effort into engaging with the community. The daily menus are another highlight for me--they keep things interesting and make each visit feel a little different. Parking is also very easy here, with plenty of spaces available, which makes stopping by convenient and stress-free. This location is also near the DPSS building, and there's usually a free phone service person set up on the corner, which can be helpful for people in the area who need quick access to resources. This is a longstanding spot for me, and it's one I continue to support because of the consistency, the friendliness, and the overall value it offers.
