Our group of four joined the waitlist online on a Friday evening around 6 PM, and only had to wait a few extra minutes upon arriving to be seated at our table. If you're planning to dine-in during a peak time, I highly recommend planning ahead and joining the waitlist. The restaurant was busy, but our server was on-the-ball and had our orders in quick. I love their fresh tortilla chips and salsa + creamy jalapeno dip. I also started with a Paloma, which was made exactly to my liking. For dinner, I ordered one of my go-to's - the Chuychanga with Queso on top. It was tasty as always, and plenty of food to take home for leftovers the next day! Sorry for the delay, been traveling. Well, this place used to be a solid 4, I might have even given it a 4.5 in my older review. I am dropping it a full star to a 3.5 max, so for us Yelpers that's a 3. Service started of slow, but got a little better. She did remember things I asked her for, but not on the next trip back. Food was ok, but not like it used to be. There is more competition at the mall now and it shows. We would probably come back, there is very few places like them, but I am not sure when that would be. This is not a 3 star place. It is a 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 star place. Story time ! I have been on the road avoiding life for a while now. I have had one friend constantly telling me that I need to strap and eat at a Chuy's. She has literally watched for my social media posts and then texts me where a Chuys was near me. So I finally made her happy by stoping for lunch. From the start the chips were a solid 4 star and that jalapeño ranch dip thing is something I'd be willing to slather on most anything and then lick it off. Of course I had to get the boom boom because each text she sent me said I needed to. From when that first bite was had, i immediately was imaging eating this back in the day after closing the bar at 4 a.m. This would have been a must stop after a night of drinking. I love Chuy's. The food was really good. It was the attitude of the bartender that caused me to give one star. There were two bartenders one was older with a beard, and one was younger and kind of looked like a fraternity kid. Besides myself, there were two other groups seated at the bar and honestly it was watching the way he treated them. He really just had no interest in doing his job that day, but he was particularly rude and dismissive to the other groups who were both minorities. He then went on to make disgusting remarks after they paid and left, which I heard. The older gentleman seemed to do his best to stay away from this kid. We go to this location for lunch every time we go to Opry Mills and the food is always fresh and the service is usually good. Today our server was Awesome !! I usually get Beef Enchiladas with the Boom Boom Sauce, but today I got a new item on The menu and it was really good. My wife always gets the Steak Fajitas. We travelled from DC to Nashville just to go. We were looking for new places to try and couldn't remember if we had been to Chuy's but after we sat down we remembered we went to the one in Springfield, Virginia. Upon arrival, (Sunday, 10/26/25 at approximately 2 or 3p) there was a girl at the host stand (I tried to look at her name tag). I THINK it was Alicia, however, Alicia didn't speak or acknowledge us AT ALL. She didn't say a word. She stood there shuffling through whatever she was doing, and then another woman walked up a few moments later, asked us how can she help us (Alicia walked off) and she took us to get our seats. When we got to our seats, they was refried beans and some other stuff splattered on the seat. Since the one who seated us had already walked off I went back to the host stand to let the girl know who sat us down and she said OK give me a minute and then she proceeded to go see someone else. A guy was at the front that I believe was the manager and he quickly came and cleaned it up. Our waiter came and he bought our chips and salsa. I immediately saw something sticking out of the salsa (not sure how he missed it), but I couldn't be too sure what it was until I got a closer look. Once I looked, I discovered it was one of those twisty tie things with that thin wire that comes on a loaf of bread to close it. I saw who I believe was the manager again, and I quickly notified him and he came and he got it. He apologized and he bought us some fresh salsa. I didn't like the way the salsa looked anyway, even without the twisty thing sticking out of it, so I didn't eat any. He then bought us some queso for the inconvenience. Although already turned off by the place because of "Alicia", the beans and the salsa mishap I decided to stick it out. The queso was actually really good. We ordered the flautas and the shrimp Baja tacos. The flautas were ok so no complaints there and the shrimp tacos had a nice flavor but the presentation sucked. We both ordered frozen margaritas that gave no kind of buzz but they were really good. I then asked for silverware (I usually ask for plastics but just said forget it). The waiter bought them and when I took them out the paper sleeve (that read "this silverware has been sanitized for your protection" might I add) that they came in, that too was a turn off. I then asked for plastics (as I should have to begin with) because the silverware wasn't too clean the waiter chuckled a little (not in a rude way but as if "sheesh they can't catch a break" kinda way) and he bought us plastics. Some of the best "Tex-Mex" around. I had Chuy's for the first time in Austin, Texas years ago and always make it a point to revisit the restaurant every trip I make to Austin. Super cool that Chuy's has expanded to other cities. I ordered my food to go. The food was ready when I arrived and just as delicious in my hotel room than the restaurant itself. This location is in a mall but thankfully you can get to it from the outside. Try the queso and tres leches; you won't be disappointed. read more

The salsa was some of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. It was fresh and had just the right amount of heat. The ranch was creamy and delicious. We came here after enjoying the Opry and shopping in the mall. It stood out as a fair space to eat, possibly a local brand, but it felt more like a Chili's with a corporate feel masquerading as a mom-and-pop restaurant. The food was good but could have benefited from better presentation. Interestingly, the chips came out in a much more impressive manner than the entree meals. The server brought a big scoop of chips for a refill, which was a great touch, but everything else went downhill from there. The murals and walls felt dirty, creating a bad vibe. The minor wait to be seated was uncomfortable, especially since the bar and several sections were visibly empty. Passing the kitchen and seeing the mess on the floor was off-putting, and sitting next to a dirty mural made us lose our appetite for Tex-Mex. The plastic plates and aluminum foil-wrapped dishes cheapened the dining experience. It seemed like the kitchen could have done much better. The waiter & hostess, likely just following instructions, didn't give the impression that they cared much about their job. I wouldn't come back for sure! Regarding Yelp, I recently had my Elite status removed after 8 years because I'm a business owner. Despite not being related or affiliated with any food businesses--only a local real estate office in NY--Yelp managers believe a business owner shouldn't be an Elite reviewer. In my opinion, being a business owner shouldn't disqualify someone from providing honest and fair reviews of unrelated businesses. We were seated quickly, but noticed the chairs were dirty. There were refried beans crusted onto a few chairs. After some quick maneuvering we made ourselves comfortable. When we got to the table the waiter took a long time to get to us and back to us. My daughter's "big as yo face burrito" came with a sauce of her choice but the sauce on the burrito looked very filmy and overall gross. The taste of the food was subpar. We have been to this Chuys for years, going for snacks and drinks before the Grand Ole Opry show. We always sit in the bar area. This past weekend we went three nights, and the service was terrible. Friday night the service we received was hostile and rude and bad. We recognized one of the bartenders and his attitude has really gotten terrible. Saturday night was a little better, but the same bartender was there. He was really put out to change the channel on one of the TV's so we could watch a game that meant something to us. Sunday night was the worst. The bartender was a lady we had never seen before. We asked her if she was going to be able to serve us. This really set her off. She was slamming things around and totally ignored our request for the green sauce. We gave her a ZERO tip and wrote her a note. I hope a manager got to see it. We will likely try to find other alternatives in the mall area. We go to a Chuys in College Station TX and the bartenders are always nice and pleasant. read more

The chips were ok, the salsa was medium heat with a decent taste. The ranch sauce was good, bit funny in a tex-mex place, but America! I ordered their version of the chimi with the creamy green chili sauce, that sauce was great! My first bite, and could immediately tell it was fried in the same oil as the churros. A very rudimentary, terrible mistake made by the cooks. I took apart the chimi and had two bites worth of the filling,which was tasty but minuscule. The place was very busy, but we quickly got a table and we had good service throughout our meal. We really liked the hatch chili queso and the chips and salsa were tasty as well. My wife enjoyed her mojito and I liked my watermelon margarita as well. My wife had the burrito bowl, which she really liked and I really liked my Mexi-cobb salad, which was fresh and very tasty with the jalapeño dressing. The food here is not the best at any of the locations I have been to. The quesadilla had three chunks of chicken in each one and loaded with cheese. The chicken flautas had no evidence of chicken in them only tasted the cheese. I added beef to the bean and cheese panchos and they tasted okay. I usually come for the jalapeño dip and margaritas. I ordered a chicken bowl and everything seemed to mix together but the combination of foods didn't really make it that enjoyable. The tortilla crisps were not enhancing the meal at all. I got the jalapeño creamy sauce on the side and it was more of a blended jalapeño than a sauce. I will say the frozen margaritas were exceptional and our server was awesome. This is a restaurant attached to the mall. The mall is huge, but we finally found an entrance, you do have to exit the mall to enter the restaurant. I ordered for take out and waited. It took me a while to decide what to order. I had heard good things about Chuy's so I was excited to try it. The staff was interesting. I don't know if someone was learning how to do their job, but there was a bit of gossip going on as coworkers occasionally do. But there were also one or two I interacted with who really knew what they were doing and were good at their jobs. My husband had a burrito and he said it was good- I tasted it and the meat was pretty plentiful. I had the chicken flautas and they were good! I would definitely have them again. The beans were also good, the rice was meh- I'm pretty picky about how my rice tastes. I think I was expecting a little more flavor. The chips were really good and we had tons of chips leftover.
