I have taken chen style taichi, kung-fu, qigong and meditation classes consistently at Master Blue's academy for 1 1/2 years. I was initially only interested in tai chi but soon realized that taichi is about the mind, body and spirit connection. His curriculum is holistic and all the other methods he teaches (kung-fu, qigong, meditation) are inter-connected. He has been generous and flexible with his time and the benefits and influence of his teachings, both in my personal life and as a visual artist have been amazing, touching and influencing positively my family as well. ​I will forever be grateful to Master Blue for this. ​ Although I was skeptic I did some PLR (Past Life Regression) sessions with Master Blue after a classmate recommended it. You have to consider alternatives, when you take your kids here. I read a lot of good reviews on…read morethe web, but our experience was negative. After 8 months of staying there, our son became green belt (I thought that was impressive, till I had the opportunity of watching a belt testing - not even close to a professional experience). We chose to take him out of this academy, and took him to a different academy to get him evaluated to restart fresh. The new academy told us he was at white belt level (3 levels below green). This was a waste of money; we told the owner we wanted to rescind the contract and he said that, despite us being disappointed, we still had to pay the 3 months early cancellation fee; watch carefully that contract before you sign it. That happened as well to a friend of us; she got seriously sick and forgot their family was paying but was not sending their kids there anymore. Once she got cured and realized this, asked if part of the money could be given back, and the answer was no, and they still had to pay the early cancellation fee. I told the owner that I would not let go of this and I would inform any parent I could and that is what I am doing so that you won't have to write yourself this kind of review. If you want your kids to become seriously good at TKD, you should consider other schools around Sugar Land / Houston. There are plenty of profession environment where your kids will enjoy the seriousness of commitment and the results of hard work.
