El Sabor Tabasqueno - Some amazing chicken tacos

My wife has followed El Sabor on social media for a bit and she kept telling me we needed to check…read morethem out. She was impressed with their posts and they made it easy to navigate their weekly schedule. We arrived shortly after 4pm on a Saturday afternoon at 801 Silas Creek Parkway in Winston. There were several cars there but no line. We approached the food truck and started looking over the menu. Everything they do features birria style meat. Neither of us have much experience ordering birria style dishes but the young man at the window was helpful in his recommendations on what to order for now and what dishes would save best for leftovers. We went with his recommendation to share the quesadilla now and order the tacos for later. The prices range from $12-15 per item but they also have a birria pizza for $35 which looks large enough to feed several people. We paid with a credit card and we're provided a small device that alerts customers when their orders are ready. This was the first time we have ever received something like this and though it was brilliant because so many times you order at a food truck you are stuck standing close by so you can hear your name when the order is ready. Our food was prepared in a timely manner and we decided to drive up the road before eating. When we opened up our containers everything looked incredible. We immediately dug in and the quesadilla was full of delicious ingredients and flavor. I took a few pictures of my tacos but saved them for later. I'm happy to report that they were delicious heated up. We will absolutely be back soon to try even more!

Triad friends, if you haven't had the chance to stop by this food truck yet, be sure to add it to your list! They are usually set up off of Peters Creek but if you follow their IG you can see all their upcoming locations The service is always amazing and anything you order is delicious. The Birria is flavorful and meaty and their portions are always massive. This pizza is a double decker of meat and cheese and enough to feed 2-4 people! If you're not a Birria fan the chicken tacos are always one of our favorites

I got wings and fries ($12) for myself. I got pizza empanadas for my sons. I also goy a kola champagne soda. This is a drink from Puerto Rico. After ordering, I was given a buzzer to be notified when it was ready. The staff person were very friendly. The buzzer went off at 5:23pm. The food was hot and fresh. However, the fries and chicken was unseasoned. Ketchup made the fries taste better. I had to eat the chicken how it was, lol. Overall, it was a good deal. My kids enjoyed their empanadas. The kola drink was interesting. It wasn't nasty but I can't say it'll be something I'd crave or be my first option. They are normally open Thursday-Saturday from 12pm-7pm at Compare Foods.

It's parked beside Royal Pabaderia Mexican Bakery in a rather rough area with an assortment of small businesses - pawn shops, tattoo parlors, auto storage and repair, etc. The parking areas are rough and all are slanted, not an easy in or out, especially on busy Silas Creek. If you have any mobility issues, use care! Gott there around 10:30, no rig, parked and waited, if no show I have a great option down the street, New Sichuan! Rig pulled in 10 minutes or so later, gave him a few minutes, then walked up and placed my order, Birria Tacos - told 15 minutes - that was doable. By 15 minutes, I have my order. I sit in my car in this ugly ass area, and dig into some damn good tacos - very well filled with meat and cheese, topped with cilantro, chopped white onion, lime wedges and sliced radishes. Nice touch was the well grilled sliced onion, and the two sauces, verde and Rojo. Loaded up and fully engaged there are few places that can top these tacos. This is not everybody's road trip, but I'm glad I made this one. Return - perhaps, I have a fair amount of free time! NOTE: Cash Only!

(4.5 stars) I'd been curious about this food truck since I…read moreheard about them last year, and I'm glad that I got a chance to finally try them. Bao Yeah offers not only bao but bowls and fried chicken as well. Their ordering (via tablet) is convenient, and they turn around orders quickly. I went with a three-piece bao, which allowed me to sample the two fried chicken varieties (K*Bomb with gochujang and Garlic Gang with soy black garlic) as well as the bulgogi. All of the bao were amply stuffed with meat and pickled vegetables and slathered with tasty sauce. The thick buns held everything in place, so eating was not too sloppy an endeavor. Everything delivered the expected flavors - sweet heat from the K*Bomb, a tangier note from the bulgogi - and the fried chicken boasted a thick, crunchy batter. It was quite tasty though the chicken was definitely a bit dry. At least the bulgogi was nice and tender. All told, Bao Yeah is a promising newish addition to the Triad food truck scene. It may not be the best Korean street food you've ever had, but you're in for a flavorful meal without a long wait.

AMAZING food and GREAT service! My go to is the Holy Kow bowl and the Korean Fried Chicken with the K bomb sauce. I tried the Holy Kow Bao today- so good! We got a bowl, 2 orders of the fried chicken and extra sides of the Kimchi, bulgogi and sauces to go (so I could attempt to make bowls at home for lunches this week). The leftovers reheat perfectly and do no disappoint. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu! Now that I know how to locate them through their social media posts, I can find where they will be next and it's definitely worth a drive to get some of the best Korean food in the area!

This Dominican Food Truck began operating in late May, and is permanently setup at 1919 Silas Creek…read morePkwy. The truck is owned by a married couple, Jorge Done and Stephany Peña. Jorge is from the Dominican Republic and Pena was partially raised there. The menu is rather broad for a food truck and most of the food is traditional Dominican fare, though hamburgers and hot dogs are available. The menu includes a number of sandwiches including several varieties of Chimi, a very popular street food. It consists of meat (choices here are shredded chicken, beef, or Dominican salami) on a sub like bun, and it topped with well seasoned grilled cabbage. They also serve frituras (fried) plates including chuleta (pork chop), salami, longaniza (sausage),Queso, and beef. The plate included plantains and yucca. I ordered the Salami Chimi and a frita plate of longaniza. The Chimi was well sized and was quite tasty, the cabbage was very flavorful. The longaniza was not large and was cut in to discs. I found these to be rather chewy, but was flavorful. The plantains had no flavor at all. I have eaten longaniza a number of times at La Palma. The sausage there is bigger in diameter and was very tender. To drink I had a Dominican drink that is a mixture of orange & lemon juices , and milk. It was surprisingly tasty, but expensive at $4! All in all not a bad experience, and I would definitely recommend a Chimi.

If you're in Winston-Salem and want a real Dominican food truck experience, don't sleep on this spot!"
