    Killer real Mexican
    Hoss K.

Place is amazing. It's as close to real authentic Mexican you will ever find. I've been to Mexico many times and ate where locals eat at. This place is legit !!!!

I balked at the prices at first but the portions are huge and everything is homemade. Everything. That alone would be worth it but the added bonus of leftovers for a full lunch tomorrow - priceless. The french fries were perfect. The fish (tilapia today) was perfection - breaded just enough and seasoned well. The homemade tartar sauce and hot sauce topped it all off just right. Service was excellent. Friendly, patient, and went the extra mile. Even bringing our to-go food over to Old North for us. (And shoutout to ONB for allowing us to enjoy it there with our beers). Many many thanks! Added bonus - meeting the owner. Lovely person who is clearly working hard to make the business work. Thrilled to have the chance to support her and her team. Will definitely be back soon to do so again.

We ordered lemonade, fried fish and fries, fried chicken and fries, a small Mac & Cheese, and a side of broccoli (you know for balance). Everything was made fresh to order so a 15 minute wait was worth it, especially since the music was great. Everything came out hot and tasty. We loved the crisp on the fish and chicken, the creaminess of the Mac and Cheese, and the seasoning on the fries. Will definitely be back.

Today was my second time visiting the Woodland Art Fair. It's become one of my favorite art shows,…read morein part due to their rules. Per their website, every piece must be original and made by the artist, who's present at the show. They don't allow MLM products or vendors selling soaps, lotions, or candles, which makes it feel more like an actual art fair. No shade to candlemakers. There's a great selection of food trucks and drinks, including beer, cider, wine, mead, and non-alcoholic options. I appreciated how the beverage vendors were spaced out throughout the event. It made getting a drink easy and convenient. It's a huge fair with hundreds of booths. I ate the mac & cheese bowl from a BBQ food truck. It was tasty but lukewarm. My companion had a corn dog and was disappointed with it so he helped out with my food. Dog are welcome at this fair, and there were so many, which - for me -made the experience even better. We found free parking about 4 blocks from the event, which is always a bonus. Lexington is doing art fairs right. Louisville could definitely take a few notes!!

This delightful, unassuming cafe/stationary food truck offers an entirely plant based menu of comfort food, quick bites, and desserts (if you can get them before they're gone). The owners are super nice and very willing to expand on ingredients and preparation methods for the menu options. After much consideration we ordered the Chi'ken Sando (crispy chicken with lettuce, tomato, pickles), Buffalo Chi'ken Fry's (crinkle cut fries topped with buffalo and ranch, crispy chicken, and a sprinkle of cheese), and the 6 piece wings with half tarter sauce and half Caribbean jerk. I loved the complexity of the jerk sauce and my dining companion preferred the tarter sauce, so the half and half wings worked out perfectly. The fries - delicious and expertly prepared, however I learned I lean toward a less spicy/tangy sauce than buffalo, and would have preferred cheese sauce rather than shreds on top. Pricing is very reasonable for high quality, made to order, plant based cuisine, and there is shaded outdoor seating as well as tables inside the cafe. Moody Mike's - you have a new fan. See you soon.

I really enjoyed the chicken wings. The buffalo flavor was really great and it was so crazy how much it looked like a chicken wing. I also ordered some Jamaican jerk eggrolls, and that was amazing. The sauce was so perfect and a little spicy. I also had to try their chili cheese fries. I ordered a half order and that was enough for me. It was very filling very hearty and delicious. The seating area is a little small on the inside where it is winter but in the spring and summer, it would be beautiful to sit outside on their benches. It looks very chic and aesthetic. I can't wait to come back in the warmer weather and the service was very quick and easy you order at the food truck and you can sit inside and wait for your food to come out. They also have a café that's open until 2 PM where you can order coffee on the inside which I thought was pretty neat. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy vegan food.
