As a tired parent, I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I had to share how grateful I am for Churchill Tech Support / Computer Tutor! We recently bought a new printer and needed it working ASAP. I tried to set it up myself and ended up in a rabbit hole of error messages and Wi-Fi confusion. I called Churchill Tech Support in a bit of a panic, and they sent a technician out later that same day. I told him right away, "I'm not good with this kind of stuff," and instead of brushing me off or making me feel dumb, he explained everything in plain English (no tech jargon), and when I didn't understand something, he was so calm and kind about explaining it again. He didn't just set up the printer and drivers, he walked me through how to print from my phone and how to do scans either from the printer or from my laptop. He even helped me write down little step-by-step instructions so I could remember next time. I felt respected and not rushed at all. By the time he left, the printer was working perfectly and I actually felt confident about using it all on my own. HUGE! Icing on the cake, they are very reasonably priced too! Ryan did a great job diagnosing a problem with one of our laptops. It was a weird problem and hard to track down but Ryan put in the extra work to find out what was wrong. He discovered that it was a know problem on this model of computer and he found a work around to keep it from happening again (we hope). It always makes me very happy to see someone who cares about their work and the customer like Ryan at Churchill Tech. We recently contacted Ryan with our problem and he scheduled a time to diagnose and attempt to repair. He was on time, that is great, I was late. And he went to work. While we decide whether or not the problem with the computer may be too expensive for us to fix, Ryan was able to save the important data. And the price was very reasonable. And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, he was up front with us and advised us of what he was doing every step of the way so we didn't get any surprises. If you are reading this far, please just call or email him. My PC crashed recently and went into an infinite boot. Found Churchill on Yelp due to the stellar review. Ryan was so helpful and patience with me over the phone. In a 2-3 week period I spoke to him on 3 occasion he tried to help me perform diagnostic to see what the issue was and ultimately gave me an estimate of the cost and what he would be doing and for me decide whether or not to move forward. First off I want to say unbelievable service from the Churchill Tech Support crew. I recently leased out a 3,000sqft office space and called them for a quote. I spoke to Ryan, and he was very friendly and informative over the phone. I felt very comfortable talking with him as I am no IT genius. He didn't use all that IT jargon to confuse me, just what I needed to know and within 10 mins we setup a walk through for him to come to my space. During the site inspection he went over every detail possible, things that I never heard of or thought I would need. He also pointed out the areas on where I can hide the cables and make the space more clean looking. I gave him my budget and within 2 hours of leaving my space I got a detailed quote with options. It was nice that he wasn't trying to pad the quote or squeeze out some extra money, but rather guided me to the best options that fit my budget and needs. I had to be price sensitive so he even gave me cheaper options for some items, while others I was able to spend a little more to be more future ready. We spend a long time on a follow-up phone call and he didn't lose patience with me. The day of the install he arrived early to make sure he can complete everything in one day. He even stayed a little later without overcharging me. During the install Ryan and his crew offered to help with moving some furniture like the computer desks to make sure his install was clean and ready to go. It was really nice that he went out of his way to help. When he left everything worked seamlessly and I was very impressed. I always thought that he would have to come back due to not completing something or missing a piece. But no he brought everything that I would need and even predicted things that he thought I would want. Plus they cleaned up there mess before they left. Overall I am really pleased with their work and ability to stay within my budget, even with some last minute changes. I highly recommend Ryan and his services for PC support! I upgraded my Mac OS and then some other things, like Outlook email search functions, stopped working. I tried to fix it myself, and inadvertently made it worse and then I was really stuck. Ryan came, suggested the Microsoft Office upgrade that I didn't even know was out there, and got everything working the way it was supposed to. He made a number of other tweaks that helped as well. I cannot say enough about the incredible service I received from these guys! I was having trouble with my Windows based laptop, which I have owned for about 4 years, and was reluctant to bring it into a retail computer shop (Staples, Best Buy, Office Max, etc.) knowing it would cost more to repair than to replace. I was referred to Churchill Tech Support through an acquaintance in the Murray Hill area, and made an appointment with Ryan around my busy schedule. I met with him at his office, but he was willing to travel to my home to troubleshoot the issues (which is incredibly helpful if you have a desktop versus a laptop). I explained the issues I was having in very laymen terms: computer slow to start up, incessant pop-ups, constant freezing, unreliable internet access, etc. He listened intently and assured me that he would be able to repair the issues and have my computer running like new in less than 24 hours. Not only did Ryan hold true to this promise, he explained, in terms even I could understand, the issues that were plaguing my computer and walked me through the additional features he installed (free of charge!) to prevent these same issues in the future. All in all, he completely surpassed my expectations and my laptop is running even better than it did 4 years ago! Ryan was amazingly efficient, polite, punctual. I have recently relocated to New York from Asia and all my devices needed to be re-connected taking into consideration the local voltage. Ryan called before hands to figure out what kind of adapters he might need to get the PC working in order to save time. He went to the store and bought it for me. In the end we did not use it and he went back to the store and got a refund and bought other plugs that were required.
