From the moment we met with her, she demonstrated professionalism, patience, and genuine concern for helping my husband through the Medicare Part B application process. She understood how confusing and frustrating government paperwork can be and took the time to carefully review all of his documentation, ensuring that everything was complete, accurate, and up to date. As a disabled elderly veteran, my husband especially appreciated her respect, kindness, and willingness to patiently gather and verify all the necessary information. What truly stood out was her dedication to providing outstanding customer service. She was knowledgeable and efficient, making what could have been a stressful experience remarkably smooth and pleasant. Her positive attitude and commitment to helping others went far beyond what is typically expected. Dealing with government agencies can sometimes be challenging, but Phillisa made the entire process easy and reassuring. Anyone fortunate enough to have her as their representative is in excellent hands. She is a tremendous asset to the Social Security Administration and deserves recognition for the exceptional service she provides.

First of all the wait to see a clerk was very fast (having an appointment I believe helps..) and the new office unlike the old place was very pleasant. I waited only less than 10 minutes from the time I walked through the door to speak with the clerk. The person I dealt with, Ms. Morales was a pleasure to deal with. She was well spoken and it was very easy to understand her directions and questions to me. She had a very relaxed but very focused attitude and she was very sharp. There was a error in the spelling of my name which needed to be corrected on their records and she fixed that immediately with no problems. Once I ordered my new card with the correct name, she reviewed my retirement benefits because I had submitted my application online. She made me aware of some errors and unanswered questions by me on the application and fixed those problems as well without me having to ask her. Then to add icing on the cake, when I left their offices Ms. Morales made a point of following up on her own with my retirement application. Even though I didn't ask her to do it, she went ahead and help make sure the application was gonna be processed. When I returned home I found a message on my phone informing me that she had followed up with my retirement benefits.....NOW THAT IS SERVICE AND GOING THE EXTRA MILE. Iwas really very impressed by her professionalism and quick thinking. This is really what made the experience so nice. Dealing with government agencies can be difficult at times but dealing with Ms. Morales was a joy and a pleasure. Someone should give this young lady a promotion !

After checking in, you'll need to head up to the 3rd floor and enter the queue at one of the kiosks. You'll receive a ticket number and wait for your number to be called at the window. Depending on what you're there for, you'll also need to fill out a slip of paper (instructions are displayed on the TV). It took about 30 minutes for my number to be called and unfortunately, the only help I received at the window was being told to wait for a phone call either later that day or the next day from someone who would review my claim. It was a little frustrating because it made me feel like the in-person visit wasn't really worth my time. On the bright side, I ended up receiving a call about 1.5 hours later and the representative was very nice and SUPER helpful! The call itself was really quick and I was able to get everything resolved by the end of it. Overall, I'm glad my issue was resolved so quickly, but I do wish I could've received the same assistance during my in-person visit instead of having to wait for a separate phone call.

A simple code was missing from my doctor's submission--EDD SAT ON THE FORM FOR 3 WEEKS. I can barely walk and had to travel from Concord to SF because the phones don't take calls. EDD told me the doctor's code on a form was incorrect--is there no way to have mentioned this online? This would have saved me a 4-hour round trip, $14 in parking (with several blocks of hobbling with my walker to the office). I pray that they fix this. I don't want to go back to SF to go through this again.

Shout out to USCIS agent C, I don't know if I'll get him in trouble by posting this post so you know who you are agent C in building 630 who did my interview at 8:50 am. I am so lucky to be interviewed by a kind and chill demeanor agent. I was so nervous because of the horror stories I've heard about grumpy agents but I'm stoked because your calm demeanor and friendliness eased my stress in passing the civics test. So a big thank you. Also, to the security guards, I know you guys are suppose to be grumpy and humbug type of way but you guys are kind and your simple "good morning" with a smile really helped. Thank you to the staff in this office, feel so blessed to become a us citizen in this office. You guys rock! P.s. They take Covid precautions seriously so wear a mask and wash yo hands!!

According to the security guard, they were supposed to call us to come in at 10:00 AM instead. What kind of professional business operates like this? We never received a single call, text, or email. To make matters worse, the staff we did encounter were extremely rude and used inappropriate, offensive language. It was clear they had no idea what they were doing. I would not recommend this place to anyone under any circumstances.

San Francisco Outdoor Warning System - In SF on a Tuesday? SET your alarm clocks for noontime and hear this!

Better than Swiss Cuckoos!…read more SITREP Was staying nearby downtown in the Financial District / Union Square hoods in the Wyndham hotel for the week when wanding up Grant Avenue in Chinatown I hear the "Tuesday Noon Siren" go off. SETUP The Tuesday Noon Siren has become one of those community events that is based on a serious effort to be "at the ready" to broadcast important community information should a local / national disaster take place and there is an important need to disseminate information. Admittedly, it almost seems pointless in this day & age of cell phones and "news in your palm" via smartphones. But what people forget is that sometimes these "hard-wired" networks to pass information that are supported with back-up generators and independent energy-sustainability may be the only way in an emergency to get information out on a broad-scale "town square" or "herald" effort when the cell towns are town and the power grid has died. KITSCHY COMMUNITY HIJACK In the meantime, the Tuesday Noon Siren has become it's own sort of entity and "local character" that people look forward to hearing and event tracking time to. It's also example of when a utilitarian / emergency system starts to take on a life of it's own. I'm kinda reminded of the Interstate Highway system that President Eisenhower established in the 50s as a means to transport military hardware such as tanks and military vehicles quickly throughout the country. And yet, for example, we all use I-80 and I-5 to take us to our vacation destinations now. SIREN GOES OFF Humorously, there's a video on YouTube already that shares "the excitement" of the klaxon horn going off. It's pretty sedate, but cool nonetheless as you hear th klaxon horn, the emergency announcement in English, then followed by the emergency announcement in Chinese: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7o3sEVVVTVo&feature=youtu.be THE LOWDOWN One of those totally random quirky, yet interesting local events, that captures a moment of fun in general, but serves a vital community purpose specifically.

The siren comes on, and I wait until the voices in English and Chinese. As they're talking, I howl and howl and howl. I am translating it into dog language, since the City is not considerate enough to realize how many dogs there are and how we'd like some communications ourselves. I mean, what if there were a tsumani and we decided it was time to head for the beach for a swim? How would we know that was a bad move? Fortunately I dabble in English so I know what they're saying (even though my people barely can understand it) and I communicate it to my fellow dogs. Do I get any thanks from the City? No! Or from my people? No! They just laugh at me and take videos. But I know the dogs of my block appreciate me. I get lots of pee-mail on our tree telling me so."
