After reading the many reviews on this thrift store, I visited the store. They have a very nice display of furniture, however the prices were as if you were in an antique store. A beautiful writing desk was marked at $349, the highest price I have ever seen in a thrift shop. Housewares were extremely well displayed, and they do have some great quality pieces. I found a set of Gail Pittman dinnerware (over 35 pieces) marked at $259 - priced well because they are extremely hard to find and are very rare. So they recognize good quality items but overprice them. The store also has clothes, shoes and accessories for sale. I wasn't interested in buying anything so I didn't look at the inventory. The idea of a thrift store is to help raise funds for a charitable organization. However the pricing in my opinion is too high. read more

OMG. A designers dream! This is a great location to find all the wonderful eclectic pieces you don't know you needed! Furniture, art, accents. Also clothes, jewelry and books!!! And all at the most reasonable prices I've ever seen. Completely non profit, all proceeds go to local churches! The staff is voluntary and so sweet and kind and helpful!! We always love coming to the church mouse. But this year the pricing has gone up significantly, pricing for people who can afford to live here, not pricing for visitors. Most of the items here are priced ridiculously high, no longer priced like a thrift shop but now more like a consignment shop. I remarked to one of the ladies who works here that the pricing was no longer thrift shop pricing. Her response was, "well, we can get it". It's sad. read more

A lot bigger than it looks for a nice range of prices. It would be a good place to go for business and conservative clothes and housewares. Felt a little stuffy to me, we're in our mid 30s and we were definitely the youngest ones there. Everyone else (shoppers and workers were 65+). Gets 4 stars bc everything felt kind of run of the mill. For having so many older ones there really weren't a lot of cool antiques in the housewares. This place is gold! I stepped in and couldn't believe my eyes. Before I got down the first aisle I had found 5 things I had been searching for in thrift shops. I proceeded to the end of the aisle and broke out in a sweat from the bargains! I had to remove my jacket and put it in a hold with my treasures. The staff were extremely helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. They couldn't have been better! When I arrived home with my goodies, I knew I had to go back. Unfortunately they were closed the next day so I had to dream about the treasures I would find on my next hunt. That trip didn't disappoint either. I scored on glassware and kitchen supplies. This shop is a great find. They have a great home goods section and unlike most thrifts an excellent jewelry counter. They are doing a wonderful job in keeping customers and their (mostly elderly) volunteers safe during Covid. Masks required and limited entry, so you might wait in line a few minutes. read more

I moved to HHI about a year and a half ago and needed to furnish my house. I bought almost all of my furniture at the local thrift stores. By far this is my favorite thrift store. Inventory changes over often, mainly furniture and household supplies with excellent prices. Not much in the way for worthwhile clothing unless you are into the grandparent look. I am COVERED in tattoos, almost a whole "suit", and the staff has always treated me well. read more

This local Hilton Head thrift store has great offerings. Everything you can think of including furniture, clothes, dish sets (some really nice antique ones), books, DVDs, and more. It's run by a local church and all the proceeds are given to charities around the area. The staff are all volunteers for the most part and are great to talk to, particularly in the book section. 1. The inventory in the store consisted entirely of extra large plaid flannel Talbots shirts from 1999 and some fold-out chairs. It smelled like mothballs and you would do better to go around picking up people's discarded t-shirts from the poolside of the Hilton Head Disney Vacation Club. 2. A white-haired woman with cakey red lipstick stood directly behind my friend, who is black, from the moment we entered the store to the moment we left. It was so threatening that we almost immediately left (not that we were so desperate to buy a neon orange skort or fake gold clip-on earrings). She stared with a focus that would only have been appropriate had my friend been a centaur or Steve Jobs' reanimated corpse. Luckily her generation will soon be dead. If her sales goal was to cause emotional distress to a potential customer, she succeeded tremendously. I urge you not to bring this store, with its racist employees and moldy furniture, your business. read more

After being their a few times I have decided it was not worth the trip. I had picked out a few things and left them on the counter to be held till I finished my shopping. The older cashier yelled at me and pointed to a location behind the counter to put my things on hold. She could have easily placed them on the other counter and nicely told me to put my things there in the future. She is scornful and should not be attending customers. These older staff look down to customers and it is shameful as they have no idea who we are or our financial situation. It appears they feel we are all beneath them. read more

A bit pricey on some of the larger furniture/decorative type items but did have some nicer items to shop through. Items look clean & staff was careful to put out good condition items. Clothing was reasonably priced for a coastal area thrift store. "Boutique clothing" separated out and priced accordingly. Staff was friendly. We would come back to shop again. read more

This is my fav thrift on island. Prices are great, organization is good, clean, I almost always find something. Ladies were a little flustered a checkout the last time, I was overcharged for my paperback at the hardback price and when I mentioned it the lady was irritated at me and couldn't fix it.
