Had to stop at this Harley-Davidson because it's called chunky. Right off I-20 in Maridian it was a quick pit stop for the poker chip......... with my mom again. Not the Hubs........... My husband and I will always stop at any Harley-Davidson that is convenient and is easily accessible from the highway. I won't drive in circles and I don't like going back the way I came to visit a shop. Especially on a road trip. So if a shop ticks all the convenience factors, we're gonna go in. I went in to buy a new saddle bag bolt & setup , 1 of my bolts snapped while riding. I like this Harley everyone is always on it but this time going to parts dept. The 1 guy was helping to find the bolt or setup being I bought the bags there almost 3 years ago . As hes helping me the other parts guy comes over & says these aren't Harley bolts . I explained I bought the entire setup here 3 years ago bolts ,rails & bags all came together & he still says this isnt Harley bolts . So I say i still have the papers from when i bought them &:what all is included , he tells me i don't care . I'm in this shop all the time & never seen this new guy with an attitude & didnt even attempt to help me look for something that will work . So I politely said thank you & walked out. Idk who pisded in his cheerios but it wasnt me & everything I buy I keep all papers just incase I have to deal with a guy like this & the 1st guy who was cool all of a sudden followed in his coworkers footsteps & all his trying to help me went out the window. So I go to ace hardware & get the bolts ,washers , spacer , I need . The guy at ace hardware was determined to make sure I had everything I needed & fit perfect & only cost me $5.00 & it's a perfect match & price . I can garentee that's not the price i wouldve paid at Harley read more

I love motorcycles and I especially Love Harley's. I enjoy visiting Harley stores. Some of the nicest people on the planet work at or ride Harley Davidson. Chunky River is one of the nicest Harley stores I've been in. That statement is based on the people. Very customer conscience and not in a hurry! Very nice place but it's kinda hard to get into but well worth the trouble. The staff is very friendly and they have a great inventory of both bikes and merchandise. Would recommend this place to anyone to just stop and check out what they have. read more

Traveling through the area on a business trip and just had to have a shirt from "Chunky River". Everyone must have had smiles behind their mask because the customer service was excellent. I have been in other dealerships that could learn a lot from this store. read more

I love to shop at Harley stores. I have been to 7 this week on vacation. This shop had the worst selection of any I've been too. They didn't have a large selection of clothing and very few sizes of what they did have. The 2 girls working motorclothes weren't very helpful. One was on her phone and the other was talking to a guy seated in front of the counter. This is not what I typically find at a Harley dealer. read more

My husband and I have traveled passed this Harley Dealer for several years, however it is usually late on Friday nights and on Sundays and they are always closed. This past Sunday 9/11/16 as we passed my husband noticed cars in the parking lot so we decided to stop. We had our dogs with us so we asked if we could bring them in with us to shop, Loren in motor clothes said we could. In conversation as we shopped she informed us this location has a new owner and that he made the decision to open on Sundays we were glad that was the case since we have wanted to stop there for a while. As we were choosing some men's t-shirts for other family members, Loren checked on us and said there were new ones that had just come in and she was happy to bring some of the new ones out if we wanted to see them. She did just that and we ended up choosing one she brought us. When I wasn't able to find the first lady's shirt I wanted in my size Loren was able to assist me in finding an alternate shirt I liked just as much. She was pleasant, friendly and very helpful. We left with our purchases and were pleased with the service we received. Thinking this was the end of our experience we were happy. Then today 9/12/16 I received a call from Dawn who just wanted to thank us for stopping and invite us to their open house happening soon. I told her we lived about 3 hours away and could not attend but thanked her for taking the time to call. She thanked me again for shopping with them and said she hoped we would stop in again the next time we were down their way. I can honestly say their customer service is top notch. More businesses should take note of how Chunky River handles their customer service and learn from them. read more
