so good. Beef vermicelli soup.

This is a 24 hour Korean restaurant. They serve traditional food. They have a wide selection of alcohol. They do BBQ and will grill it for you too. The x times I've stopped here before the US Open, to eat is too many to count. Locals flock to this destination for great eats and have a few drinks. It's quite a vibe. One negative. The ahjumma can be short on you sometimes.

This place has seriously gone to hell. Oh lord.. where do I begin?! Not that it was great to begin with but the bar has sunk. I went once before during the pandemic because my aunt lives nearby. It wasn't great but I appreciate them being open and staff was friendly enough. So, more than 2 years later - they must've really shaped up right? Hah.. you know where this is going. Come in, wait for seating.. why? The place is empty af. Ok whatev. Waited over 10 minutes to get a server .. again, THE PLACE IS NEAR EMPTY.. what is going on in the back?? Finally the food comes out . Broth was cold .. no fun. Pancake was totally bland. Where are your flavor sauces? Screw this.. we're not wasting more time. Eat a little, pay the OVERPRICED bill and leave. Last time here.

This is one of my favorite places to eat authentic Korean food. I believe it's owned by two sweet grandma's because I always see them and they help me whenever I order. They're always super nice and sometimes give extra side dishes when I order a lot for my family! I keep coming back here, and although I've always done takeout, I plan to eat inside eventually. The place is clean and very home-y. Honestly every single thing I've tried here has been absolutely delicious. But my favorite dish here is the seafood pancake and the galbi-tang. I highly recommend coming here at least once! You won't regret it.

This place has been here for many, many years and I've walked by many times. It's conveniently located right next to the 74th Street Jackson Heights stop. However, it wasn't until recently that I tried it. This is a very no frills Korean BBQ and is not that spacious, but is very authentic. My experience here was very pleasant overall. We had the bulgogi, kalbi, and bbq chicken. All three meats were well seasoned and very juicy. They also had just enough flavor without being too salty, which I have encountered at other Korean BBQ places. The usual side dishes were plentiful and tasted fine too. The prices here I would say are a little more expensive than the average Queens Korean BBQ, with a 3 meat BBQ combo costing $89.99. However, the portions of meat were larger than normal too. We ended up having a lot of meat left over to take home.

Beef rib with tofu soup

Quite convenient spot, just outside the Jackson height station. It looks like a super old restaurant and there is a smell of old furniture inside the restaurant. But to be honest I was quite impressive about their side dishes. Super yummy. Even they may all look in red but actually the way of seasoning is totally different. Like the firm tofu in spicy sauce is not spicy at all. And I quite like the texture of the firm tofu. The potato is bouncy and cooked well and flavorful. Just the way I like. The LA beef rib is well marinated. Tasted slight sweet and the beef is soft and well cooked. I could not believe that I finished them all. But the menus says there is beef and seafood inside the tofu soup. I found no such things but silly tofu. Anyway still recommend this one.

Went last night for a dinner. Overall food was good . Got few dishes , the best were the spicy fried chicken and the veg pan fried cake !

We got kimchi fried rice, teokkpoki, seafood soup. Kimchi fried rice was good. Teokpokki was okay. Seafood was very watery. It lacks flavor.

Imi was there with friends late thursday night. The place is open 24/7 so it was one of the few places open. My friend has been here before and assured me the food was good. She was right. The food tastes delicious. It was really filling and the portions are huge. We will be coming back

Had a smattering of apps along with some soju, and it was a good time. Food was good but it was more the authenticity and casual good vibes that boost the rating up. The banchan was solid, nothing exceptional, and for $4 was a bit steep. The chicken was also similar, good but nothing standout. The spicy rice cakes though were really good. Only complaint is that it was pretty lacking on rice cakes - it was half fish cake (which tbh I prefer but maybe not everyone does). I can tell the food quality is good though, so I'd be eager to try more of their signature dishes, such as the Bulgogi. Definitely worth a shot if you're in Astoria craving Korean food!

I ordered this via door dash so I can't speak to the ambience or service inside per se. I ordered…read morethe Galgi Bibimbap with Ban Chan, Buns, and a side of Kimchi and a side of rice. Turns out I did not need the additional sides of rice and of Kimchi as far as amount of food goes, however I think I liked the flavor and "kick" of the side of Kimchi over the Kimchi that was in the Ban Chan..... The food was pretty good! As I mentioned it came via door dash and the dasher was on a scooter and it was a few miles away so by the time it got to me it was only warm and not hot but that isn't really something the restaurant can do anything about. However I did ask for utensils to be included and I think that is something the restaurant has control over and I didn't get any utensils so there is that....

The army stew was not only flavorful but also had a bunch of toppings inside. The servers were super attentive and even asked us if we wanted our hot pot to be reheated once it sat for a while as we chatted. That being said, I do want to point out that I believe this place is more suited for a bigger group of people. My friend and I enjoyed everything about the meal however, the hot pot was huge and we finished only like 1/4 of it and ordering the meats was a little weird. I am use to going to KBBQ where they tell me that the minimum meat orders is 2 but here, you must at least have two orders of any meat you choose. We both wanted the marinated short ribs with pork belly but ended up with two orders of the marinated short ribs because we were more in the mood for something marinated. Now, this is just a preference of ours but in case you want more of a variety of foods, I would recommend coming here with a bigger group of friends and grabbing a few drinks as well!

The place is quaint, small enough for 4-person groups or date nights, but not made for large parties. It's the kind of casual spot perfect for a random drop in or a takeout order. The menu range is impressive. The food skews from pocha style pub food to Korean Chinese to traditional classics that shouldn't be missed. There are lunch specials and combinations, along with random misspellings ("bahn mi", "buger" etc.) that have become commonplace with many of these menus. The Korean fried chicken (soy garlic) is an easy go-to as is the bulgolgi burger, which is a pricey guilty pleasure. I appreciate their inclusion of (various!) jajangmyeon and tangsoo yuk, both famous from their Korean Chinese roots. Though the portions could be more substantial, I dig their jiggae lineup of kimchi, seafood, and budaejiggae. They've also got pajun, mansion, ramyun and naengmyeon as well. The variety is definitely in point. Service has been solid during all of my experiences. They're good about explaining the menu and are attentive throughout the meal. ____________ (#1) Manhattan or Flushing.

What arrived was a half-cup of what I can only describe as lightly flavored hot water, bravely tinted to resemble broth. No vegetables, no texture, no effort--just a cloudy liquid that seemed to apologize for its own existence. Then came the main course, which somehow managed to lower expectations even further. The beef--if that's what it was--had the remarkable quality of tasting like absolutely nothing. Not bad, not good... just absent. It's almost impressive how something can be cooked, plated, and served while completely avoiding flavor. The side dishes? Minimal. The sauce? A tiny smear, presumably symbolic. You get a masterclass in how to charge restaurant prices for cafeteria-level disappointment. This isn't just a place I won't return to--I'd actively warn friends to steer clear unless they're curious what culinary emptiness feels like. There are far better ways to spend your money, including not spending it here.
