My in-laws come here at least once a week and since we were in town, they wanted to show us their favorite spot. After trying it, I can see why it's a family favorite (and why it was PACKED on a Wednesday night). The Black Angus Boneless Short Rib and the Mugifuji Black Pork were soooooooooooooo good! Both of them didn't need any sauce or anything to really taste how juicy and flavorful they were! We also got a dolsot bibimbap and a kimchi stew. So much flavor! They give us an iron skillet to cook the meat on. I noticed that when we went home, we did not smell like KBBQ at all! Impressive!

Still great food, service and deals. Went with combo C again, but brought my mom for help. We did much better on the food, but still had leftovers so I think it can feed four avg appetites. We did order the small cold noodle again, but still stick by my assessment cause we didn't really eat that much rice. They offer the stone pot rice too! Anyway, service was even better this time it seems because they refilled our banchan quickly and without even asking. Great bang for your buck at KBBQ with the quality of meat , banchan and service from a higher end place. Parking tip: there was a valet on a Wed evening which surprised us, but for $3, very convenient as their parking is limited and service was great!

The food here, from the banchan to the main dishes, is delicious and of really good quality! Banchan: Very diverse, they even serve fried fish with egg batter, which I've never seen elsewhere. LA Galbi: The meat was tender, not chewy, and the marinade was excellent. Cold Noodle: Normally I'm not a fan of cold noodles, but this one was actually quite good (I ordered it because my husband wanted to try). Grilled Fish: Pretty standard, but I loved that it came with 누룽지 (crispy rice soup). The fresh, crunchy vegetables on the side were also impressive! The atmosphere is great, big, clean, and it really feels like dining in Korea. The staff are older but super kind and attentive, always making sure our banchan was refilled

Amazing spread of banchan and authentic Korean cuisine. Their seafood pancake is a must try.

the food was so delicious! we came in kind of late at around 9 pm. they quickly sat us and we ordered. the customer service was unbelievably good. Paul was our server and he was so incredibly kind and hospitable! we got the brisket and the black pork. the black pork was so delicious and paul told us it was one of his favorites. you can feel the deep history here. the food was good, but having paul as your server is definitely the highlight of the meal.

Ambiance: the establishment is located at a corner spot, limited parking spots in the private lot, large and stylish wooden tables and chairs, it feels very cold inside the restaurant Service: very friendly and attentive, although it took a while to place the order and receive the food Food: classic comfort food and Korean bbq Banchan - *** limited kinds YUK GAE JANG - **** Spicy Pulled Beef and Vegetables Soup, flavorful broth and tasty meat, recommend TTEOGGALBI - *** Minced, Seasoned, and Grilled Beef Short Ribs, soft meatball texture, sweet taste MOOL NAENGMYUN - *** Hand-Made Buckwheat Noodles in Cold Broth with Meat and Vegetables, average taste Price: moderate portions and reasonable prices, about $40 per person for a fulfilling meal

Excellent quality. Excellent service. Kind service every time! High quality banchan. Best kimchi stew ! Valet outside doesn't make much sense though. There's no reason for it.

Highlights: ribeye Even though this place is a bit outside of LA's Koreatown, it's absolutely worth it for the quality of their ribeye. The ribeye is cooked perfectly, tender and juicy, just melts in your mouth and the portions are very generous--two people can easily eat and still have leftovers! I also recommend trying the beef tartare and marinated short ribs; both are so flavorful. The staff are incredibly nice, giving the place a warm, homey vibe, almost like eating a home-cooked meal at your mom's place. Highly recommended!

Food was delicious although the menu was limited because ownership was changing hands. I noticed that there was only 1 ONE server doing EVERYTHING! oh my goodness! She was hustling the whole entire time but kept her composure and was such a friendly server. Despite trying to do 20 things all at one time, she gave us the best best service she could despite being the only staff in the front of the restaurant. Ambiance is very and school Koreatown Korean restaurant with lots of decor and beautiful wood carved furniture. I hope new management does the right thing and give this lady more help and give her a dang raise!!!

First of all: The food is absolutely amazing. The portions are big for the price (comparable to other KBBQ restaurants in LA) & the banchan is amazing. The service was phenomenal. The workers are truly so kind and so exceptional. I haven't felt this kind of service from a K-town restaurant in a very long time! I'll be bringing my friends here for the holidays!

Chung Ki Wa is my absolute favorite Korean restaurant in Los Angeles. I've been coming here for 30-35 years. The food is high quality. The service is outstanding. The restaurant is clean. The food is super tasty. Yuk Hwe. Korean style raw beef served with a raw egg, lemon, Asian pear, cucumbers. I've tried this dish here for my first time 30 years ago and have been hooked. They have the best Yuk Hwe in Los Angeles. Grade: A+ We ordered Set A from the menu. We chose marinated galbi. This was two generous pieces of high quality galbi on the bone. When cooking, it grilled perfectly and cut easily (tender). Grade. A We also chose beef brisket and tongue. The brisket was sliced perfectly and was tasty! High quality meat. Grade. A The tongue was super delicious! It was high quality pieces and when cooked it had a nice tender chew to it. Great flavor. Grade A+ Service was absolutely outstanding. Three ladies worked hard in unison to provide great customer service. Service Grade: A+ One thing that stood out to me during our meal was the the utensils were clean and new. The scissors that they provide to cut meats during your meal was sharp and cut the meat well. Other restaurants have cheap and dull cutlery. Overall impression: A+

My new fave kbbq spot in ktown! A+ Service, A+ Food, and A+ Ambiance. My boyfriend and I went in for dinner and it was fairly busy but had no wait. It was quite chilly in there bc the front door stays slightly open but it was fine once we started grilling the meat. We ordered the Combo 2 where we selected 2 meats from A and 1 meat from B: - We started off with beef tongue (우설) which was SO good. It melted in our mouth and may have been our favorite in the set. They added butter while cooking the beef tongue which made it taste even better. - Next we got the pork belly (삼겹살), which was really good too but not amazing. Maybe next time we'll just ask for 2 orders of the beef tongue or order brisket. - Lastly, we ended with the marinated galbi. The marinade was really good but next time we'll probably order the Angus one bc the regular order of yangnyum galbi was a bit tough and had less marbling. - The doenjang jjigae that comes with the combo was on the milder side compared to other restaurants but still very flavorful and delicious. - The banchan was 5/5! I usually don't eat a lot of banchan when I eat out at restaurants but I ate literally everything -- even the cucumber banchan when I usually don't like cucumbers. We ordered the ttoari mool naengmyun (또아리 물냉면) separately and they told us that they hand-make the noodles. By the way for people who don't know since it doesn't say on the menu, ttoari is usually just a small portion of your choice of either mul or bibim naengmyun, which you may prefer since one regular order is quite big after such a big meal. Not my favorite but would like to give their naengmyun a try again bc everyone says that it's really good. Maybe next time I'll just try their chik naengmyun bc i like its chewy texture better (even tho they said it's store bought). I plan on getting their yuk hwe (육회) next time because I heard that it's the best in ktown. Just looked through some reviews and it looks like I need to try their sangdeungshim and kkotsal as well! Will be back because I'm laying in bed writing this review the day after and I'm craving it already LOL

Came here with my coworkers. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The parking is limited but they do have parking available. Ambiance is cute. Very traditional. Definitely an alternative to other Korean barbecue spot.

Bludso's brisket is tender and marinated just right. While some briskets are too salty, Bludso's maintains a light and balanced flavor profile, which lets me enjoy the flavor of the beef. However, be warned that some leaner cuts might be a tad bit dry. The pork ribs were also great. although they weren't "fall off the bone" soft, it's still one of the best ones I've had in LA. The sides were also good. They weren't mind blowing but they were definitely comforting. Overall, Bludso's is a great BBQ spot that I would come to again and again. Definitely one of the best in LA. Note: I do have to say that if you're from Texas, you might not be "wow'd". Franklin BBQ in Austin is leagues above both Bludso's and Moo's (first time in my life having brisket melt in my mouth!!). But if you've never left LA, Bludso's will probably be the some of the best BBQ you've had in your life!

While portions…read morehave gradually gotten smaller as prices continue to rise, I want to focus mainly on the food quality itself. And overall, Bludso's is still a solid BBQ joint that I'll continue coming back to. Brisket - 4.5/5, Lean Brisket - 3.5/5. The standout here is definitely the beef brisket. They offer two versions: regular brisket and lean brisket. The regular brisket is well-smoked, with tender, moist meat that pulls apart nicely. The dry rub has a great balance of seasoning and flavor without overpowering the beef. My only complaint is that the brisket can be a little fattier than I'd prefer. On the other hand, the lean brisket swings too far in the opposite direction; it has too much lean meat. It loses too much moisture and ends up noticeably dry. Honestly, I wish they offered something right in between the two cuts because the flavor itself is excellent. Even so, the brisket remains the reason I keep returning. Pork Ribs - 3.5/5. The pork ribs are good, though not particularly memorable compared to some of the better BBQ spots around. The flavor is there, but the ribs were slightly dry and lacked the tenderness I was hoping for. The taste and texture just didn't fully come together for me. BBQ Chicken - 2.5/5. The BBQ chicken was probably the weakest meat option I tried. The chicken was properly smoked, but the smokiness completely dominated everything else. I couldn't really pick up much seasoning or flavor beyond the smoke, which made it feel one-dimensional and less interesting overall. As for the sides, the cornbread and baked beans were both above average. The cornbread had a good texture and flavor, while the baked beans had a nice depth and complexity that complemented the BBQ well. The mac and cheese, however, was a letdown for me since it tasted a bit dry. Overall, Bludso's BBQ is still a dependable place for BBQ in LA, especially if you're craving brisket. It may not be perfect across the board. Still, the quality of the smoked meats - particularly the brisket - keeps it firmly in my regular rotation.

Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

They state there's a lot behind the building to park at, but it looks liked you have to pay and we weren't sure which lot. So we just did street parking. We did go around 1:30 pm on a Thursday, so did not have much of an issue with finding street parking. Inside the restaurant, they have plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. There's no wait staff, so you go to the counter and order and once it's ready, they call your name/number and you pick up your tray of food from the counter. We ordered the El trio platter, which comes with 1 lbs of brisket, 1 lbs of pork ribs, 2 sausages (chili relleno and cheddar jalapeno) and 2 sides (which we chose Mac and cheese and red potato salad). We also saw the burgers from YouTube so got 2 of the Thicc burgers to share among everyone. We got a sides of the Texas chili to try. Everything was great. Our group really enjoyed the food and everyone said the BBQ was some of the best they've had. The brisket was really tender and seasoned well. Everything was seasoned well actually. The burger was great. It was soft, great flavor and was just really solid. One of the best burgers I've had. The ribs were everyone's least favorite, but that just means the other food tasted better. Ribs were still good. All the sides were delicious as well. The Texas chili was great, the Mac and cheese was creamy and the potato salad tasted homemade. We could tell it was made in house. The sweet iced tea was refreshing, not overly sweet b Overall, I'll have to come back here to try their desserts and other items. I'll for sure be getting the burger and brisket again.
