My husband and I came by to take a break while shopping around town on our last day in El Nido, Palawan. To start, we got the choco moist cupcake and iced coffee - both were pretty good! Coming from California, I'd say the prices are pretty decent. 100 pesos gets you an espresso, 150 gets you a Starbucks brand iced coffee. Regular brewed coffee is just 50 pesos. We later got the burger steak w/mushroom w/ rice - delicious, perfectly cooked (medium rare), and cheap (200 pesos)! Also, the wifi at this place is fast compared to other places around here. The decor cute and inviting - lots of framed posters with the "Keep Calm" theme or 1950s style ads, all related to coffee, tea, or desserts. The cafe is small but it can fit a lot of people. There are only 4 two-seater tables inside, but the bar-style seating along the walls can fit 9 more people. On the patio, there are 2 more two-seater tables. They have a couple of outlets as well if you need to charge your phone/laptop. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

The two popular…read moreItalian spots had massive waiting lines so I opted for IBR instead.It's a cheap, no frills Filipino eatery. I dropped in on a Saturday evening (around 8:20pm). There's two seating areas: sweating buckets in the front, AC in the back. Unfortunately for me, all the AC tables were full. The menu is up behind the ordering counter. You order and pay first. Everything is dirt cheap (40 PHP to 280 PHP). There's also a small breakfast and dessert menu (crepes, pancakes, shakes and halo-halo). - Pansit bihon (110 PHP) - this was a massive portion of noodles with bits of chicken, carrot, cabbage and a calamansi to squeeze on top. Decent and not too salty. - Steamed kangkong (60 PHP) - first time I've seen a vegetable only dish! It came with a side of salty shrimp/seafood paste (way too salty for my tastes). The kangkong was a huge portion but bland. - Arrozcaldo (40 PHP) - this was the best dish. Filipino style rice soup was perfect; actually flavourful and came with a whole egg. Cheap hole in the wall Filipino spot. 3.5 stars.
