This chic coffee house and café is located in the shopping mall of the Vanilla Beach/ Marimegmeg Beach area of El Nido. You can tell your trike driver to drop you off at the McD's which leads to the walkway of the shopping mall. This is far and away the bougie part of El Nido, one catering to the resort tourist. Pricing was indicative of this but to source fancy Philippine coffee beans, roast, and sell is a costly operation therefore the prices are somewhat understandable, I think.
The Breakfast and Signature Dishes are healthy in nature, ingredients which are sourced locally, according to the menu. I had the Hayahay Breakfast Platter for 395 PHP. It was on the expensive side but a clean breakfast was had. It came with a helping of scrambled eggs, marinated tomato with feta and black olives, broccoli, hummus and tzatziki with a sourdough toast. I also had a Cappuccino for 180 PHP which was served in an aesthetically pleasing ceramic cup. My entire spread was all the aesthetic actually. A different vibe for sure, but a little slice of familiarity which I daresay is appreciated when on vacation and away from home. read more
