You can get your sandwich plain or with bell peppers or hot peppers or both. You can also get a small container of delicious beef broth for your sandwich, ask them to pour broth on your sandwich or have them dunk the whole darn sandwich in broth. Can you count on me being able to recognize an outstanding beef sandwich and write a good review of Chicago-style beef sandwiches? Yup, I grew up in Indiana, 30 minutes from downtown Chicago so I've eaten some darned good beef sandwiches. Though there are a number of restaurants in Wichita which sell some pretty good beef sandwiches, but NONE are as good as Big B's. Not only are the sandwiches fabulous, the Big B's folks are supper nice people.

I ordered a Bacon chz burger minus the Mustard but add Mayo. I received a very overcooked tiny patty half the size of the bun. I didn't even like the taste of the meat. They didn't get the sauce correct. It had mustard/ketchup and no Mayo. I ordered - mustard + mayo I use to highly recommend this place and now I don't recommend it at all. I am really sorry to have to write this review. I really hope they fix these issues. I don't know when or even if I will try them out again

Now I will have to warn you - the Chili is like molten lava, it's best to let it sit for a little bit. Dress & fix your burger before trying! The great thing about the chili is that there is enough left over to have chill fries. The burger was excellent and the bun held up nicely. I would definitely recommend any of the burgers! This was a very casual atmosphere and the old fashioned decorations keep the eyes moving! Very unique and worth the time to check out while waiting for the burger. This is a must visit!!!

Why do they bother saying you can order them cooked your way? I ordered medium and mine was very well done. Wasn't going to send it back because who knows what happens in the kitchen when you do that? The bun and fixings were fine, but the burger itself was not worth the out-of-the way drive to get there. Fries were OK. Companion had a grilled chicken sandwich, which was reportedly good. If you like a burger that is the least big juicy, I suggest ordering medium rare and see what happens. Service was friendly.

We ordered the Fish Dinner: $15.99 for 2 fillets and 2 sides. We ordered onion rings and mac 'n' cheese. I thought the fish batter was very nicely seasoned and flavorful. The mac 'n' cheese was pretty tasty. We were there at 4pm on a Sunday, and they had a nice steady stream of customers. I'm glad for that, and glad we tried it. But I don't think we'll go back.
