It's a great hole in the wall located in Charlotte, NC. I was working nearly and was looking for local places to check out. Google recommended this business, and it had great reviews . Upon entry, the staff was very polite and took our order as we got in. You order that the counter and then find a seat. I ordered the French toast with scramble eggs and bacon and pink lemonade. There were a lot of local people sitting having lunch, and the area was quiet. The wall art was amazing and made you see charlotte from a different perspective Food took about 10 to 15 minutes to be ready. I was so excited to try their French toast however it's was a disappointment. It was burnt and bitter and had no flavor to it. I ended up asking for a side of toast and used it to make an egg and bacon sandwich, which was pretty good. Even though I was disappointed with my French toast , my coworkers seemed to enjoy their meals. I tried their steak and cheese sub, and it was delicious If you are ever looking for a hole in the wall, check this place out and try something other than the French toast. 630 could be sneakers. That's a good deal get a beer. I guess we can stay around the area or there's one K and 5K works for the brewer is an associate and will run getting free beer and burning the color you came from speaking of smoke this is warm, leave it put it on it marshmallows this thing

Chucks has the absolutely most reasonable pricing for breakfast that I have seen in Charlotte. I got the breakfast special that had two eggs, grits, biscuit, and sausage and it was only 7.75! A literal steal. The quality of the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I devoured it sooo fast. When you walk in you get a very warm greeting from the staff and they take your order quickly. There isn't a lot of seating inside so it's best to come with a small group if looking to dine in. There is ample parking on site. This is a true local IYKYK spot. Definitely will be back.

the main stage, where all the action happens. order your food, watch as its prepared & grab it while its hot.

When you think of that local, family-owned gem that always hits the spot (without breaking the bank), you're thinking of Chuck's. A staple in the North Charlotte community, Chuck's offers great food and top-notch service, all at a more than reasonable price. The restaurant is small, but this only adds to its cozy, home-cooked, family atmosphere. If you plan to dine in, be mindful that seating is limited, especially on Fridays and weekends, but they're always happy to take to-go orders over the phone. The food is made fresh to order, so while there may be a slight wait, it's minimal for a hot, freshly prepared meal. With plenty of options for both breakfast and lunch, you'll find all the classic dishes. My go-to is one of the breakfast combos, and I usually add hash browns or salmon cakes to make sure I'm completely satisfied. At the same price (or lower) than nearby fast food spots, I highly encourage anyone on the fence to take a chance and try this local find.

I just happened to come across this spot randomly, and I'm glad I did. If you want a good and simple southern breakfast, this is the spot for you. I got grits, eggs, liver mush, hashbrowns and a biscuit. The food is made fresh to order, so it comes out hot. I think the biscuit was the best part of the meal, though. It was soft and fluffy and delicious! The hashbrowns didn't have any seasoning on them, so I likely wouldn't revisit this dish, but with a little ketchup they were still good. The restaurant is super small, so you may end up having to take it to go, or having to eat with a stranger. Either way, you're gonna enjoy it. The service is super friendly and they try to get your food out to you fast. They have a lunch menu, and what looks like many different specials throughout the week, so I would definitely recommend giving this one a try!

Prices were VERY reasonable. Food and service were great. Country ham was a special treat.

We decided to wait it out, but we ended up waiting longer than 40mins. I know that the employees can't control when customers get done with their food, but for a good 15 minutes about 5 tables sat vacant while dirty, as they could have cleaned those tables and got the waiting parties seated. Me and my grandmother both love the lemon ricotta pancakes. No matter what day or time it is, they always hit the spot. You can tell that they are made from scratch, as they are not rubbery. The thought of ricotta in a pancake can turn some people away, but all it really does is adds delicacy (makes the pancake tender (if that makes sense)). They usually have soft scrambled eggs, but today they were a bit more of a hard scramble and had trouble cutting a bite with a fork. The bacon this time was so hard that it wouldn't really bend like normal bacon would. I would have rather waited a couple more minutes for some better bacon. They do have a drink called the "Pineapple Express" that is always good. I can't really describe the flavor, but I recommend you try it. You'll have to taste for yourself! As a summary, this First Watch is usually great, but this time it was a miss. I wish that they would be more consistent with the quality of the food AND the service, as some servers act like they don't want to be there while others are great.

I ordered a cheese/half-pepperoni pizza, but it showed up like the toppings had unionized and decided to take over the entire operation. I did not request extra cheese or extra anything, but I definitely got "extra everything" energy. For me, the pizza would've been way better with a more balanced amount of toppings. Sometimes less really is more -- especially when the dough and sauce are already doing the heavy lifting. Right now, the toppings are basically crowding out the main characters of the pizza. Also, sticking to standard portions unless someone specifically asks for extra would probably help keep costs down and let the pizza breathe a little. I'd order again, but next time I'm hoping for a pizza that doesn't feel like it's trying to win a topping-eating contest.

Before we even arrived to the restaurant, we had a wonderful time walking through 4th Ward and admiring the beautiful houses. Alexander Michael's is located in a house that is equal parts beautiful and characterful. Upon entrance, I felt welcomed by the moody lighting, decorations, and cleanliness of the establishment. The waitress and bartender both greeted us. There is plenty of memorabilia, photos, and other keepsakes to gaze at throughout the restaurant. I had seen a lot about their spicy crab soup so I knew I had to start out with a bowl of it. The bowl came out quickly and enough cannot be said about how delicious it was. Perfect level of spice, consistency, and a flavor that would rival a seafood restaurant closer to the water. After this, I decided to eat their special, a Meatloaf Sandwich. Not my first choice, but after the waitress explained the dish and communicated how delicious it was, I knew I had to try it. I also opted for a side of their Cajun Fries which I have seen a lot of people rave about. The food came out after about 10 minutes. The presentation was beautiful for one, but there was also just a melodic rhythm felt throughout the dish from the cut of the sandwich to the layer of seasoning on the fries. I don't think I have ever seen "pub food" so beautifully prepared before. The sandwich was incredibly and as were the fries. I feel like I could ramble on and on about how incredible of a restaurant this is. From the kind and personable staff, to the wonderful vibes radiating from the place that foster conversation and good times. I understand why this place has stayed in business for so long.
