I just hired Chuck It Junk Removal for the 3rd time since 2014. I have recommended them to friends, and they were also happy with their service, along with the transparent and reasonable pricing. This was a complete move out of our family home in Livonia as we are relocating my elderly father to live near me in Washington, DC. My time in Michigan was very limited and I needed a thorough job done, so we could put the house on the market ASAP. Brad Abbott, the owner, is a great guy and Chuck It is truly a local, family-owned business. Brad took the time to make sure to accommodate my tight schedule by reserving the time and resources for multiple truck loads, as it was difficult to estimate exactly how much stuff there would be, being a move out. My parents had piled up a lot of stuff after 50 years in Michigan! Brad and Austin performed the job, arrived promptly, and were very thorough, They literally opened every single drawer, cabinet, closet, etc. as directed and emptied it out. They organized the loading such that anything that could be donated to charity was grouped separately from items destined for the landfill/recycling centers. It took THREE very full truckloads to empty the house: the basement, main floor, and 2nd floor. It was a very hot and muggy day to boot - Brad and Austin truly worked their tails off. I called Chuck It Junk Removal at the recommendation of a friend to remove some old furniture and fixtures as well as some fencing and outdoor debris. Their online appointment system is great--easy to schedule an appointment, with follow up text reminders. They work hard, fast and do things to help you save money that other junk removal services don't. They were also trustworthy, people I wouldn't have hesitated to have in my house, or with my elderly mother, alone. They made the experience fun, which I hardly thought would be possible. These guys are amazing. We had a sewage flood which took out most of basement contents. They came within 36 hours of the original call and took out all of the stuff that wasn't salvagable for an amazingly reasonable price. We had also asked them to take some old windows that were in the basement and with all the chaos of the other stuff those were left. I was able to schedule an appointment that fit my schedule, the price was more than fair, and the clean up made it look like the hot tub was never there. Spotless. I had accumulated a lot of things over the years, saving them for my kids when they established their own households. Now that that has happened, I still had a lot of stuff that was no longer needed and was weighing on my mind. How was I going to get rid of it all and get my house and garage back? A call to Brad solved my problem. Two visits and two truckloads later, my house is free of all that clutter. Josh, Randy and Gordon were efficient, hard-working, careful of my walls and other things and friendly. They worked to get as much into each load as they could. Company was very prompt and easy to deal with. Had a issue with my deck being damaged during a hot tub removal. I will say that owner was very responsive and came out personally right away to help resolve my issue. The deck was resolved to my satisfaction , and I would recommend this company for your hauling needs. Only reason not a 5 star is because there was an issue, but sometimes a company's worth is determined on how they react. In my case, the ownership reacted quickly and dos what they could to resolve. Brad and his crew were prompt, friendly, and stayed until the junk in my newly purchased home was gone! They were able to come the same day I called them, did a walk through, made a precise estimate. They charge by volume, not weight. Brad took a photo of the full truck and provided me with a copy of the bill to charge my sellers. They even asked me if I was sure I wanted to get rid of this or that, and caught some historic woodworking pieces that had come out of my 100 yr old home that I wanted to keep and reinstall.
