I'm giving it 5 stars because of the ambience. I like places that make me feel welcome and at peace. The interior design is a combination of a night lounge and a high end airport lounge combined. Service was fast with 6 attendants taking orders; significantly reducing wait times. As far as the menu; they have 2 separate menus. One for coffee and snakes, and another that starts at 5:00 pm and includes entrees. We started with cold drinks; my niece ordered the Passion fruit lime tea, while I went all coco and sea salt ice tea with 50% less sugar. Both were delicious. This place is so cute! There's plenty of parking so bring your friends & they have seating for all styles. We sat in a cute tent situation but they have all sorts of interesting seating arrangements inside and outside We got the brown sugar mochi which were pillowy & not too sweet! We also tried a mango croffle and my toddler was obsessed! The mango were so sweet and went so well with the cream and waffle. I'd order either of these again. We got a couple of drinks to wash it all down but I'd come back to try out skewers next time. I definitely recommend ordering your drinks at 1/2 or 1/4 sweet if you don't have a big sweet tooth! They have an assortment of breads, pastries and cakes for sale & can do custom cakes too. I had seen this place on TikTok and it is definitely way bigger than I thought it would be. I like how the café is decorated throughout the whole building. They have cute themed seats outside as well as group couch areas. I also thought it was really cool that they had a craft center where you can make phone cases, keychains, picture frames, and basically whatever after you get your drink. The sea salt is a signature drink that they created, and this brand is a Chinese tea brand. I thought it was really cool that they brought this here to the US. The dessert for me was the mango, shaved, ice dessert, I felt like it could have used a little bit more condensed milk. There wasn't actually any most of the sweetness came from the mango and ice cream. This is honestly the reason for the four star because I felt like for $22 I expected more for this dessert. The picture I saw in the restaurant had a fish pancake with it, but we didn't get that. And we only got one pocky no Oreo. The staff in the front weren't the friendliest, but they weren't rude or anything. It was raining pretty hard and there was a lot of flood warning so I'm pretty sure they were just tired. I actually love the lady that brought us our skewers. She was so sweet. She said she gave me a bowl of the cucumbers for free, and it was so good. I kinda like the cucumbers more than the potato and the beef kebabs. I'd love to come back here again when it's not raining so I can sit outside they have a few tents where you can pretend that you're clamping. read more

Stopped here on a whim for some bread and WOW I will definitely be back. Honestly, while other asian bakeries are good, there's not really one singular bread that really grabs my attention. When I came to ChuChat, they were offering this Melon Bread that caught my eye! Once I confirmed that it was filled with cream, I was completely sold and didn't hesitate to get it. It tasted really good and the melon flavor came through in the crust on the bun and a little bit in the cream. I've never had anything like it and I'm slightly addicted! I also got their blueberry almond bread and that was solid, not as good as the melon bread, but still a more unique offering. The inside is clean, modern, and has somewhat private seating on the sides in variously designed open cubbies. I love the "private" side rooms because it feels just a little more comfortable and quiet sitting with just your friends. While John's Creek is quite a bit away from me, I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area! Looking forward to trying other items here. read more

This place would probably be a great study spot too. The drinks that came out were HUGE. I ordered the lime jasmine tea which was so fresh and light, perfect for the brutal summer heat. My friend ordered the pandan kaya bomb, and it was very flavorful. A little dry, but I think that's because it was later in the day. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the pandan flavor. Having seen this place when I had a dinner party at Yifan next door (literally), I really wanted to try this place out, but didn't have the time until now. Heading in, it seems small and tight near the two kiosks where you can order, but going further in, it's brightly lit inside and very, very unexpectedly spacious. They have seating areas that are little more closed off if you prefer that, and they definitely have space for larger groups, though it'll be harder to snag certain tables. They also have a very cute outdoor seating area. My friends and I got the mango passion fruit bingsu to share, and it was fine. Good amount of mango pieces, and some jelly to chew on, it was a good pick me up on a hot day. The dragon eel sushi sandwich was bit of a let down... it was a lot of bread at the ends and not structurally stable. It was falling apart even before I took a bite and was much more oily than my friend's Buldak sandwich. It was nice surprise to see it came with tater tots though. If I'm in the area, I would revisit for a drink that I've wanting to get but haven't yet (I'm indecisive). Chu Chat is a great spot with affordable, tasty drinks that do it the correct way. Out of all of the boba places we visit, my girlfriend (who very harshly grades boba) names them in her top 3. I highly recommend checking out this place as they also serve food as well - though we haven't tried any yet, there's quite a wide assortment. Service is always friendly, parking is abundant, the area is well decorated and clean as well. I really enjoyed the bubble tea that I got since it was not overly sweet and enjoyed the boba. The nuggets were also tasty and loved the dipping sauce that it came with. I do wish there was some spice on top like the ones found at Sweet Hut, but they were larger in size and quantity was good for the price. I came here for afternoon tea with a friends since they open at 3p on weekdays. It is located next to YiFang and has a large parking lot. You are greeted by a large and beautiful outdoor area. Inside is bright and clean with plenty of seating as well. I browsed the various pastries they have. We settled on a mango grape croffle and their signature sea salt oolong as well as the taro milk tea. The croffle was interesting. It was the first time I've tried it and the croffle was a bit hard, but the cream was perfect- fluffy and not overly sweet. The sea salt oolong tea was fabulous. The tea flavor was really rich. The taro milk tea was nice too. It has pureed taro and the boba was nice and chewy. Overall, very nice place to hang out and plenty of space. But you can tell they are just starting since some of the menu items aren't available and the staff had trouble placing the order in the computer. It was good to check out their teas. However, id have to say I went at 9pm on a Thursday and it took them 15 minutes to make their signature oolong sea salt iced tea. And, it wasn't even packed... Ambiance -5/5 this is definitely Price -3/5 - the bread prices are a bit exorbitant compared to a local sweet hut. I mean $6.99 for croffle is a bit steep. Came for the pre soft opening ! Definitely must check out on 8/11 for grand opening and they have all the pastries on that day as well. Since today was the soft opening they only had a few drink options. The strawberry milk tea boom was soooo good! The tea flavor was strong but not overpowering. The strawberry tasted so fresh as well. It also came with crystal boba already. My favorite was the oolong sea salt iced tea. The tea flavor was so good and fragrant. It was not too sweet as well. The packaging on the drink was so cool. The sea salt added a slightly salty flavor and made it taste extra creamy. I heard from a friend that a new bubble tea shop called ChuChat opened near Johns Creek. The overall vibe inside is quite minimalistic, with some people working on their laptops, some playing board games, and others just chatting and laughing together--it's a great spot to hang out with friends. I come here every week, order the same thing, and I always tip. I've had a good experience up until now but my drink was not made correctly today and the young male employee was unbelievably rude. Such a cute little boba shop in Johns Creek! I love the decorations inside and it is a super cozy place to study or hang out with friends. I came here to do some work, so I did think the music was a little loud, but the vibes are still very nice. I got the hot camellia milk tea with 25% sugar, and the milk tea was really good and not too sweet. I would like if it was a little warmer though because the "hot" was more slightly warm than hot. Love the ambiance of this place! Very well done and perfect studying or chit chatting environment. I can't say I was the biggest fan of the salt oolong tea, but that was just my personal preference. Although food/drinks are quite pricey, the quality of the food/drinks makes it a bit more justifiable. Ranking the items my friends and I got: 1) Lemon pepper wings - sooo good! We ended up getting 2 more orders. Instead of a dry rub, they use a lemon pepper sauce and it is so tasty. 10/10 must get 2) Shrimp cheese balls - crispy & cheesy 8.5/10 3) Rice cakes - I personally really liked the balance between the sweet and the salty. It was also so chewy and warm 8/10 4) Popcorn chicken - think it would help retain more moisture if the chicken pieces were a bit bigger but it wasn't dry so thats good 6.5/10 5) Mango Passion Fruit bingsu - The flavor combo worked well and all of the toppings included worked well together 8/10 6) Lava cake - Good cake, not too sweet 8/10 7) Calamari - Standard calamari 7/10 If you get a sea salt drink, I recommend 75% or 100% sugar. The drinks aren't too overly sweet even at 100% and because of the strong salt, getting 50% sugar made my drink overpowered by the salt. You def need a higher % of sugar to balance the saltiness. I think this is the best boba spot in Johns Creek! I always get the oolong milk tea (without salt, though I have friends who enjoys it with salt). BEWARE that their toppings are extremely sweet. My friend had told me when she went that she asked the staff if the boba was sweet and they answered no, but it's really sweet. Knowing this, I asked the staff if the clear jelly was sweet and they said no, but it was indeed very sweet. I got my drink 0% sugar, but it tasted like 30% sugar. I stick to the cheese frost which is more of a savory profile. The oolong milk tea is creamy and has tea essence, which is pretty rare to find since most places taste watered down these days. I also got the melon bread, which I really enjoyed! It came with cream with artificial melon essence, which wasn't my favorite, but the bread part was good. I wish the cream was just plain. The space is huge and have designated area for large groups, which was nice! The price is also very reasonable. My drink came was short of $6! read more
