I contacted CRAFT and met with their great team and they were able to take me in, assess where I was at and get me set up and ready for my checkride in a short amount of time. The aircraft's are fantastic, well taken care of and flying the Diamond DA40 of course is amazing. The message said they were busy and to use the online booking service on their website. I then placed a request for later that day and waited for a confirmation or rejection. It is good we were not waiting at the helo pad, because I received the rejection of the request over 48 hours later (Wednesday afternoon of March 8th) with an explanation that is was "Past Date" as if I did not have access to a calendar. I am not advocating that every business has to be open for every whim of a customer however, if your site conveys that the business is in operation, then they should definitely act like they are open, even if to say we can't accommodate your request. Credit where it is due: they did not charge my credit card.

We flew up the coast to IOP, then back across the harbor/bridge and over downtown on our return. The instructor (Robin) was most professional and informative. My decision was made right there!! I booked a 10hr flight training package and I'm on my way to earning my PPL with the first 3hrs already under my belt. All I can say is I'm stunned that I almost didn't even go just because of these comments, which leads me to question their motive and legitimacy. A phenomenal Training Center with Excellent facilities and instructors…read more I was lucky enough to be provided a tour of this facility right before Christmas. I did NOT take any classes there but I spoke to my family member that was enrolled and was told that the facilities, curriculum and teachers are outstanding. Steve was an instructor there and toured us around. He did not have to but took his time to answer all our questions and show us everything from the crew training pool to the full-motion simulators. This is a controlled facility so you must be allowed through the parking lot gate and into the building. From there you will be escorted around if you are a visitor like me. They have classes and 2 types of simulators. The classes can fit around 20 people each with each person having a flight controller and a screen. The more basic simulators are non-motion but set up with screens and more controllers for increased realism. The instructor console is behind them in the room. The full-motion simulators had projector screens for realistic cockpit vision as the pilots practice in a full cockpit with the instructor behind them running them through drills. They have a lot of full-motion simulators but there is an increased demand due to the Gulfstream fleet increasing in size and complexity. Once we were done, they let us visit the lounge which is beautiful and has great food. As you descend the stairs to depart you will see a sign that says, "Reserved for the Sky's Most Elite." With this kind of training, I can believe it. Thank you, Steve, for the tour during the holidays.
