Shame on Jeep Dodge Ram for partnering with such a incompendent company. I have reached out to the VP and Senior Director of customer service and I can't even get a response from them. Comical. I bought my lease 2 months ago and they're THAT incompetent that they can't send me the proper paperwork in order for me to transfer the car into my name. 3-5 business days to send it via email. 3-5 days to send an email???? If you need an original copy thats 7-10 business days via usps. Snail mail in 2026???? Oh and then they'll send it but it won't be correct and you'll have to wait another month for them to resend it!! overnight mail? Priority mail? Chrysler Captial has never heard of that! I've been without a drivable car for 2 months. Absolutely ridiculous. if I could throw tomatoes at this company I would because booooo they f**kin suck. read more

Extremely frustrating and alarming experience with both Chrysler Capital and the dealership. This vehicle was plagued with problems almost from the beginning. The issues started only about three months into the lease, and I repeatedly experienced problems with the same vehicle throughout the lease. Approximately six months before the lease was scheduled to end, I was faced with a charge of more than $12,000. Then, approximately a month and a half before the lease was scheduled to end, I was presented with another charge of approximately $3,000. What makes the second charge especially concerning is that it involved an issue that had already been repaired previously. The repair that should have addressed the issue had already been performed, yet I was later being told that I could be responsible for another approximately $3,000 related to the same problem. I ultimately returned the vehicle on July 2026, after dealing with the repeated problems and circumstances surrounding the lease. Then the situation became even more concerning. Chrysler Capital later contacted me and told me that the vehicle supposedly had never been returned and that they needed to contact the dealership to verify the return. This was extremely frustrating because I had already returned the vehicle and had previously communicated with Chrysler Capital regarding the return. The combination of a vehicle having problems almost from the beginning, repeated repairs involving the same issue, being presented with a $12,000+ charge, then another approximately $3,000 charge for an issue that had already been repaired, and finally having to deal with confusion over whether the vehicle was even returned has been extremely stressful. I believe customers deserve clear documentation, accurate records, proper communication between the dealership and finance company, and reasonable explanations for any charges being assessed. If you lease a vehicle from this dealership or through Chrysler Capital, document everything--every repair, every conversation, every payment, every return document, and every charge. This experience has been extremely disappointing and alarming, and I hope both Chrysler Capital and the dealership seriously review how this entire situation was handled. read more

Disrespectful customer service!!!! They will hang up on you!!! This company marked me delinquent on my credit report, after I had turned the vehicle in, ON TIME and dealership was supposed to pay off balance. Obviously I'm upset, I'm asking the agent a question and he was NOT listening to my question and eventually hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor and I was placed on hold for a very long time. Yet they could not help me. I do NOT recommend using Chrysler Capital or TASCA dealership in white plains. They will unjustly ruin your credit and wash their hands of any responsibility blaming the other person. read more

Chrysler Capital - Auto Loan Providers Near Me

i've had an absolute nightmare of an experience with them. I was excited to be able to pay off my vehicle in full. their only payment option is to send a check through the mail. They made me send a check for $31,000 through the mail and of course it got lost. Even sending it priority and are they gonna take any accountability for it. No. would they replaced the money if it's gone? no. the best thing that they will do for me is postpone my payment date a month but still charge me $25 a day for not being paid which will be $700 if it's paid a month late. And to cancel this cashiers check and get a new one made it's gonna cost me $660. Their business practices are reckless to say the least, who would put their clients at risk as such financial loss when it's as simple as opening up an account that you can wire transfer money into. read more

This company is a complete SCAM! 99.9% of my payments went to interest this past year. Loan for 15k, the past year ive paid almost 8k and not even $400 of that went to the car, it went to their pockets. I bought my truck 3 years ago. My loan was for $31,000. My current balance is $30,400. The payoff amount is $35,000. My payments are $800 a month and when able I have made larger payments. My interest rate is 16%. I tried to get help in January for employment issues. I was told I qualified SCRA protection as a vet. And then in the next call was told no I don't and that they have no hardship program. I fell behind of course and scrapped together a payment last month. I tried speaking to someone again about getting help or a deferment, after securing a new job. I was again denied any assistance. I woke up this morning to my truck gone. And I have no idea where they took it. My car seats for my kids are in there and several personal items. I can't seem to get anyone on the phone and I'm freaking out. After speaking with someone in customer service, I was told that in order to get my truck back, I have to pat $4000 up front. that $4000 includes an upcoming monthly payment not due til the END OF MAY!! Penultimate incompetency. Not sure if I've ever dealt with a money handling company that can't keep track of their billing. My loan experience Chrysler Capital has seriously impacted my credit due to an error on their end. Although they corrected it, I'm still dealing with lasting consequences, as several creditors lowered my credit limits, and I had to accept a high interest rate on a new car lease renewal. I reviewed a letter acknowledging their mistake, but I only asked for fair financing and was denied. The stress has cost me many sleepless nights, and when a friend considered a Jeep, he chose a Toyota after hearing my story. I've been in the car industry for most of my adult life. During that time I've dealt with multiple lenders, several manufacturers and many banks. In my experience, Chrysler capital is the absolute worst. Let's start with the car. I leased a 2018 Jeep Compass for my daughter. In her three years of ownership the car completely shut down at highway speed twice. This is a known issue with the four-cylinder Tigershark motor. The engine burns oil and a very rapid pace and when it does, it shuts off without warning. Chrysler is well aware of the problem but has done nothing about it. A quick Google search will reveal thousands of complaints and many accidents attributed to this flaw. This is in unconscionable danger that Chrysler has completely overlooked. The last time this happened, my daughter plowed the car into a curb because the vehicle disabled itself and she was unable to control it. In three years of ownership the car has been in the shop a total of almost 2 months which is inexcusable, especially since Chrysler does not provide loaner cars. No let's talk about the lease and process. Chrysler generally will not send someone to your home to do a pre-inspection of the vehicle. They also refuse to do so with the dealership. When you return your vehicle you're basically at their mercy. We returned the vehicle with only the most minor damages, issues that any other manufacturer would overlook. We received a bill for over $2000. When you call them to discuss this, they really don't want to be bothered. They did tell me that they would give me a 25% discount on the damage but they weren't sure they'd be able to do so and that I should call back and wait on hold another hour to see if they're going to help. In my entire life I've never had an interaction with a less professional company. They clearly don't care about the products they sell or the customers they sell them to. Safety issues or blindly ignored in favor of corporate profit. In summary, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CHRYSLER CAPITAL AND ESPECIALLY AVOID ANY MODEL WITH THE FOUR CYLINDER TIGER SHARK MOTOR. EPIC, epic failure. read more

I set up a payment plan for 1 payment... and 1 month has gone by and they have forced me to pay on that payment on the dates i didn't set it up for stating if i paid on the set dates they ALLOWED and SET UP then i was going to get fees and it would affect my credit... now they sent me a mesthis company is a joke and they have no consideration for their years long customers. SUBJECT: Poor Customer Service for Property Tax Over-Charge & Poor Senior Management I moved states in 2021 shortly after leasing a vehicle through Chrysler Capital ('CC') and I re-registered my vehicle in the new state. I later found out that I was charged property taxes from my old state after I no longer was registered in the state, but CC paid the taxes and added it to my bill. I questioned the charges for 11 months starting in 2023 and repeatedly asked for the CC tax team to re-assess the taxes. I was informed that if I changed my garage address that this wouldn't have happened (which is fair and I acknowledge my fault there). I however kept asking for them to look into the taxes and see if they can get the money back (since CC is the title owner while I lease, I can't dispute charges to the taxing jurisdiction). You cannot talk to the CC tax team directly, so after going through the call center to email them asking "can you please re-assess my tax charge", they responded "the customer should've changed their garage address" with no actual response to the real question (and no 'if you change the garage address in our system now, we can do it for you'...just the proverbial 'well you should do better next time'). After more back and forths about the subject, in early 2024 someone finally tells me that I need to provide them with X, Y, and Z and they will submit a re-assessment request to the state. I was thrilled because that is the information I was asking for for over 8 months at this point. I submit everything within a day over fax and then wait 6-8 weeks like I was told would be the processing time, and get told that the state won't look at the re-assessment request because the deadline to do so was 12/31/23. This deadline was 7 months AFTER I started questioning the charge and was asking explicitly for a re-assessment, but because of either the property tax team not wanting to go through the extra work for customer service since the property tax being updated doesn't impact their bottom line, or because of a weak internal process at CC which promotes inefficiencies in helping their customers, I wasn't able to get the information I was desperately asking for and the action that I needed done until after the deadline that was imposed by the state that actually impacted my ability to get my money back. I feel like I have been wronged in this situation. YES, I agree that I should've changed my garage address on the CC website more timely, HOWEVER when I was asking CC to look into it, they slow-rolled me and didn't give me the right answers. The property tax team explicitly ignored my actual request for re-assessment and just told me I messed up and left my question out in the abyss. I did what I could to remedy the situation before the state's deadline for re-assessment request but CC didn't do their job in assisting me timely, so I called their executive office asking for reimbursement for CC's role in, at the end of the day, me being out $740 that I should've been kept in my pocket. I stated my case that CC didn't do what should be considered reasonable due diligence and reasonable due care to help me with what would be a net zero impact to them. I stated my case and asked for the majority, not all, but the majority of my money back as restitution. My request was sent to 'senior leadership' whose only response was 'it isn't our fault that the garage address wasn't changed, so we aren't compensating the customer' which clearly shows that they didn't actually care about what happened. I understand business is business but CC either doesn't give a damn about their customers, don't have modern infrastructure to help their customers, or both. I am so upset that I spent HOURS on the phone with their call center over the past year to try resolving this issue to find out that they didn't do their part of the deal and are just bad business partners. I have not made a Yelp profile until now because of how absurd this situation was. For those who have to deal with CC situations going forward, I would escalate past the call center to the executive office for anything you feel isn't being handled with due care. They were the only people that I felt actually were helping me and I have no animus towards them. I'm primarily mad at the property tax team and senior leadership. read more

I honestly believe that the customer service department here is full of employees that do not care about their jobs, or your needs. I asked them to look up something as simple as the status of my lease payoff, and they tell me they can't. The next person has a different answer. I was charged a late fee because they have some never heard of rule that you must manually pay your final payment with them. (though they tried to pull it out through auto-pay) When I did the manual pay, that payment was bounced by my bank, and they told me that I put in the wrong account numbers. (same ones I was using for auto-pay) I went ahead and asked for the payoff numbers and sent them a check 10 days ago, and nobody can tell me if they got it or if it has cleared. The fifth person I talked to told me it was being held until I rectified the problem I had with my "final payment". The person before her said that payment was included in my payoff... what?
