The owner had an opportunity to fix a horrific experience with a contracted stylist and instead charged me $68 plus tip for a full cut that she spent 20 minutes fixing. Her direct employee said "Contractor's are not held to the same standard as permanent stylists." I love supporting local businesses but the abysmal customer service from the top down leaves this place irredeemable. read more

I had a fantastic haircut with owner Nicole. Better than any cut you can find down in Denver and equal or better than NYC or similar. I wear my (fairly fine and frizz prone) hair in a mid length with face framing layers as a professional but pretty look that I can pull back if I want - and it is an extraordinarily difficult cut to get right (especially when, thank you 2020, I had gone a very long time since my last cut). Nicole took a quick look at me and some former pics and quietly took her time and did a really lovely cut. She was lovely and chatty and kind and I didn't notice the time at all. This salon is a diamond in the rough! The stylist, Deryn is a master colorist and a great stylist. I highly recommend her, but I know you can't go wrong with any of the stylists. Chrome Salon rivals the hair salons I've visited in DC, NYC. In addition, my haircut was the best I've had in years. I moved back to Colorado, after being on the east coast for 25 years. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find a hair salon like the ones I visited on the east coast. My fears have been all for naught!! Chrome Salon is amazing!! I was very happy until checkout. I was told my total was $155 which was confirmed by the stylist before they told me the amount. I had a new client coupon for a free hair cut. That dropped the price down to $150. I questioned how come the price only dropped $5 instead of $60 and I was told they rang me up incorrectly the first time. It isn't so much the money but the feeling that the coupon they sent me to try their salon wasn't really honored. read more
