Once we went for a walk afterward. I walked around the neighborhood with Fhanta and dumbells in my hands. Before I knew it I had covered around 5 blocks I guess. We talked and walked no pain to it! For years my wife had been trying get me to work with a trainer. I always felt that I had a pretty good grip on how to exercise but after reaching a new record in my waistline and on the scale (Not the good kind.) I figured that I better try something different because the way I going things were not looking pretty. In comes CTSM! Actually at the time I was looking for a trainer I took a consultation workout at another gym just up the street. Or should I say I was... When told the guy that I was going to also to a consultation workout at CTSM he said, "Oh. Well your going to get a much more intense workout there." That was exactly what I was looking for! I trained with Mike on the initial consultation and it was intense. Thereafter I workout with Sean for about 6 months and dropped a modest 33lbs. I was feeling pretty good having reached my goal so I took up working out on my own again. During the months of November and December I tried out the Boot Camp instructed by Chris and it kicked my butt too. Started coasting.... And the weight was creeping back. So I've started training again with Sean again and I've already lost 11lbs since March.

For many months, I'd been struggling with chronic lower back pain. I was getting chiropractic…read moreadjustments, doing rehab, and finally had to get a cortisone shot to put the constant pain at ease for a moment. It was the one thing I was trying to avoid, as I do my best to heal naturally and without meds when I'm hurt. I told myself that I would do it anyways with the intention of going back to a gym after the shot and strengthening my core so I can avoid this pain even after the shot wears off. I needed guidance, though. I have learned from the many years of doing any kind of exercise on a solo basis wasn't doing the job. Either I wasn't motivated enough to push myself hard enough or I wasn't aware of the bad form I was using or I was just doing exercises that would exacerbate my back and knee issues. I did a lot of research, as I do, and thankfully found this gem (get it?) Colin got in touch with me and I mentioned my health concerns ad nauseum. He made me feel very comfortable and confident that I could do this program while also preventing future injuries. The first week was rough. I thought I was still somewhat fit, but was slapped in the face with reality. I was determined at age 39 to get in better shape so that I avoided my back issues in the future. That first month took a lot mentally and physically, but the coaches were there the whole way to help when I had questions or concerns with any particular exercise. They alternate metabolic and strength training days from Mon-Sat and have several classes each day. The classes are going to involve a lot of body weight training combined with some free weights. You will be active 95-100% of the 45 minute class. They stress, constantly, the importance of using correct form which is an absolute must in keeping your joints protected. Fast forward nearly 7 months and I'm absolutely sure that I made the right choice here. Owners/Coaches Colin and Adam are exceptionally committed to their community and to your health. They check on you outside of the class and provide helpful tips in whatever you might be struggling with. Part-time Coaches Jillian and Brian are pretty amazing as well. You won't be disappointed with the people here. My previous constant back pain is gone and I'm feeling stronger every month. I could not recommend this place enough and I look forward to further growth as I continue my journey with TFW.

I'm eating better than ever before. I'm NO LONGER Pre-Diabetic and my blood pressure is normal. I have dropped 61 pounds while gaining muscle weight and dropping fat. Fitness by Fronk also offers Kinstretch, Circuits and Unlimited Classes as well as unique personal fitness assessments like (1) the functional movement screen and (2) Titleist Performance Screen for golfers. This personalized training offered by a young staff of Certified Personal Trainers, Nutrition Specialists and CrossFit Coaches is pricy but well worth exploring if you are seeking one-on-one and/or small group training shadowed and directed by a Certified Trainer. I was fortunate to meet with Tammy who explained to me that all the Certified Personal Trainers are independent consultants and work with members individually to develop packages that help them further their fitness and nutrition goals. Tammy also gave me a tour of the studio which is equipped IMO with the bare essentials like dumbbell racks, bench press benches, treadmills, gym rings- probably more stuff but those are the items that stood out. This is a very unique personal fitness studio model which differs from my experiences with other fitness centers and gyms. I'm big on entrepreneurship and Tammy was very matter-of-fact helpful in giving me a good baseline of decisioning info - with this positive experience, I see possibilities here and encourage you to check it out if interested.
