In the past registering a vehicle in the state of California and and dealing with the DMV has proven to be a difficult situation to say the least. Adrienne assured me she can handle it on her end in Ohio, and she did. Today I received my plates and registration in the mail. I have to be honest at first, I felt she did not understand the complexity of the California DMV. I was absolutely blown away today when my registration and plates came in the mail without hassle. Everything I experienced from Terry Hendricks Ford has been nothing short of top-notch professionalism. Maybe it's the midwestern work ethic, or maybe I've just been in Californian too long. In my 51 years on this planet, this was the most seamless and positive car buying experience I ever had.

I made the 1.5 hour commute that night and sent pictures of all my paperwork to get the ball rolling. Alex and his GM were awesome! They even got me a better interest rate than what I came in with. I was in and out with my new Explorer in 2 hours! TWO!! They even stayed late for me. Amazing customer service, genuinely nice people, honest and fair. The tale of two service departments of two different dealerships. I had vehicles being serviced at…read moreseparate dealerships today. One came to my workplace and picked up my car and took it for service and returned it to my workplace in time for me to drive it home. The distance between my job and the dealership is about a 15 minute drive. The bill for the service work was in the car and of course I plan to pay in a timely manner. My other vehicle I dropped off the night before the scheduled date of service. The next day the service was not completed due for the lack of parts. We made due without a vehicle for a night. The next day the service department informed me the repair was complete. I asked if they could deliver my car to my home and leave the bill inside the car. This dealership is maybe a 2 minute drive from my home. I was told they would look into if that could be done but the car could not be released until the bill was paid in full. In the past this dealership permitted payment a day or two after service but on this occasion I was told the owner has made it clear a car is not to leave unless payment was made in full. Not having some $650 readily available we will be without a car for another day or two until payday for me. This is nothing more than how 2 different businesses operate. To each his own, I get it. Unfortunately this business approach of the dealership 2 minutes from my home will push me in a different direction in the future. Dealership was nice when they knew they had a sale as my credit union paid them with a check for the car(paid in full). Car was delivered to me. Two days after having the car the break pad monitor light came on I hadn't even had the car two days. Contacted the dealership and both the car salesman(Elijah) and his manager (Carter) assured me that the brakes were fine and there was nothing wrong with them and if there was something wrong the service department would've caught it. I ended up getting a diagnostic at cappelino Buick and they told me the rear breaks were worn down to 3mm. I then called the dealership to inform them and then me and the manager had a back and forth and I told him that I only had the car two weeks there was no way I wore the breaks down from 7mm which he stated they were at when they sold it to 3mm which it is at now. carter was very rude telling me "what do you want me to do?" And then proceeded to to say "I'll send you a check And then after that I'm done with it". whole temperament changed from when they knew they were getting a sale and check for the full amount for the car to when I called with a problem. Don't like how I was talked to or treated but I guess that's what people do after they get a sale treat people like crap. Check was sent for the brakes which were worn out however I do not like how I was talked to or treated and I given the option to get my car fixed at the dealership who checked my car out and sent them proof that the brakes weee worn down. I was also told by Elijah that I didnt have to register the car or send the title application and then three weeks I called asking about when my registration and plates and title would come and I was given the run around once again and magically on 9/29/26 I received a check from Jamie who I never met or communicated with and no I have to do all of this myself after they stated they already handled it which was a lie. so unfortunately they don't have a third party company that takes care of that which they shouldve said from the beginning when I asked when I was first purchasing the car. Do not purchase from this dealership as they are very unprofessional, don't tell the truth, and are rude after they get a sale. So now I not only have to get my brakes fixed after not having The car for even three weeks, I also have to go to the DMV to register the car. I don't care about them sending me Checks, they ahouldve did what they said they were gonna do‼
