So far so good! I met Dr. Haffner before anyone else and she definitely seemed genuine and catered to specific needs of my child. Asked me for problems areas, etc. also, her clinical manager explained everything! Their expectations, insurance, payments. She also gave me a tour of the facility I mean it was really good. I plan on making this our Family office to grow with. Unfortunately the receptionist has terrible customer service. Today, 10/26/17 is my second visit and still the same. I had a very disturbing experience with my 4-year-old son at this office and feel compelled to share for other parents. My son was seen for fillings on his front teeth. Before the procedure, I was not clearly informed about potential outcomes, including changes to the appearance of his teeth. I was also not allowed to be present during the procedure, which made me uncomfortable but I trusted the staff. After the visit, my son was extremely upset--crying the entire ride home until he fell asleep, which is completely out of character for him. He told me that staff were mean to him, that he was restrained, and that when he said he was in pain and asked for me, he was told they didn't care. Hearing that from a 4-year-old was heartbreaking. His teeth are now visibly discolored and shaped differently, which was never discussed beforehand. When I raised my concerns with the dentist, they were dismissed in a way I found unprofessional and lacking empathy. As a parent, I expect clear communication, compassion, and the ability to advocate for my child none of which I felt were provided here. I would strongly encourage other parents to ask detailed questions and carefully consider their options before proceeding with treatment at this office. read more

Dr. Haffner is a dedicated, skilled and honest dentist and in our last 12 years with her, we have only received excellent care. Although we live 30 minutes away from her office, I am happy to make the drive to see her 2+ times a year because she is that good and because she has gained my trust and respect. My kids have grown up playing and watching movies in the tree house in her waiting room, are members of the no cavity club and appreciate the goody bag that they receive after each visit. My kids will continue to see Dr. Haffner until they no longer need pediatric dental care. read more

I had an appoinment for a filling and it was very rushed.She does not care about the quality.I had inuitution that something bad would happen and indeed it did.Within 2 months apart of my filling from that appoiment feel out and I had to spend alot more money to get it fixed casue this doctor clearly does not care about quality.The office staff is etremley rude. I would honestly put 0 stars if I could. Our experience was awful. The day of the major operation, they gave my son ,who was 3 at the time, some oral sedation... but didn't even give him all of it, and assured me that it would be fine. Then they put us in this tiny dark room with a creepy show playing the whole time. My son was scared and restless but I tried to make the best of it by comforting him. He seemed to get drowsy but I could tell that it was wearing off because they had kept us in there for so long. Meanwhile their aunt was watching my daughter who was sleeping in car, I was hoping that everything would be done before she woke up. But it took them over 2 hours to see us, and honestly I think they forgot about us because auntie had to come with baby sister to the dentistry because we were taking so long and the baby had awoken. During all this chaos because baby is crying wet and hungry, the nurse comes in and pries my son away from us (even though he's crying and extremely awake). I am distressed and tell his aunt to go in and be with him and check up on him, but they wouldn't let her in with him! I couldn't go because I was breastfeeding and my baby didn't understand anything other than she's hungry and upset. I'm trying to figure out how to get inside to be with him, when suddenly we hear this blood curling scream from the operation room that sent chills up both our spines, and to this day I am so guilty and traumatized that I wasn't there for him. He comes out with this tooth that doesn't even look like a tooth, they shaved off everything and the crown looks like a sad triangle that was smooshed up his gums, and he's missing one tooth! And the nurse hands me his tooth and I'm shocked! Because it wasn't made clear to me that he would have a tooth pulled out! I was appalled and so emotionally bamboozled. Nonetheless, my son still takes Motrin for his hurting tooth (the badly done crown) and he tells me about his horrible experience at the dentist when he's in bed... it breaks my heart because he was only three and could barely form full sentences that made sense, but he was able to express his hurt and painful trauma of going to an evil dentist like Haffner! I would 200% never recommend her! Her staff is so friendly and nice but don't be fooled by the nice staff and pleasant office, be careful.. and don't regret going to her like I do everyday whenever I brush his teeth he cries cause his tooth hurts when I touched it. I know this is a long post but I honestly wish I could sue her for what she put my son through! I also want to add that that my son is five now, and I waited to see if it would get better and it still hasn't! I'm never going back! read more

My daughter had four fillings 6 months ago with Dr. Haffner, during this visit I felt that the atmosphere had changed for the worse. Well , we decided to find another pediatric dentist due to the physicians demeanor and lack of concern. Six months later, we located a wonderful dentist, and we were told the same teeth needed fillings. I was shown the decay on an X-ray, my intuition was 100 correct. From start to finish it all felt sketchy but the issue I have with this woman is the fact that after my son's filling, he kept complaining when he chewed anything for the next 9 days and when I took him back, she said she couldn't see anything wrong and that she was taught in school that children "get it wrong" when asked where does it hurt. She also said that the cutie orange he had a month prior probably caused a sore in his mouth but she saw nothing. So obviously I took him to another dentist, and she immediately polished his filling down and he hasn't complained since. read more

My daughters last appointment was a nightmare. Something has definitely taken a change for the worst at this facility. She was not given any topical anesthetic prior to her injection for a filling. I'm not sure what went wrong during the procedure, but my daughter's face was swollen for approximately six days. I called the office on the second day, and they reassured me that nothing was wrong and the swelling was normal. They also assured me that she was giving topical anesthesia prior to the injection, which I knew was not true my daughter, 16 years old and fully capable of knowing whether she received a topical anesthetic or not. This is very disappointing, this is my second child that's gone to Dr. Haffner, however, neither will be returning. There are a few other things that I didn't include, upon reading the recent reviews and our last experience, we have decided to seek care elsewhere. read more

Seriously, do not take your children here. Dr. Haffner was rude and inpatient with us each time we saw her. She told my very anxious 6 year old to hurry up and get in the chair because she had a schedule to keep the very first time she saw us. The office manager is also very rude and uninformative. Worst experience ever!! We were referred here from Tebo dental due to my son having cavities and anesthesia was recommended due to his age 4 and the cavities that needed to be filled. We got there for his procedure and he was forced to drink the sleepy medicine however he spit it out. He never fell asleep when they took him back and wrong teeth were crowned so they had to go back and do the correct one we spoke about several times prior to the date. They are VeRY unprofessional!! My son was screaming and In pain after getting crowns put on. I left and called the office advising them that he wasn't getting any relief from the Friday. I had to call back that Monday and finally after being given the run around spoke with Haffner. She didn't own or accept a thing, making it like everything was "normal" and from there I knew I would never take my son back. I even had to ask for them to be seen to check to make sure they weren't too big and she said yes. It was a blame game from start to end and I highly don't recommend taking your kids here especially if they need more than a cleaning! read more

Horrified is an understatement. I have been taking my three children here for a while. Until today my complaints haven't been severe enough to want to write a review. My 11year old has complained in the past that he is spoken to pretty horribly when getting work done. Things like "oh stop it, you're already numb", which I have expressed and I am told never happened. Today I took my 2 year old in for dental work on her front teeth. She has extremely small cavities in the middle of her front teeth. I was told she would need four root canals & crowns and they would be white fronts and silver backs. They got pre-approval from insurance and I was informed my insurance wouldn't cover "Patient Management/Behavior Management". I decided to call insurance and I was told I should let them know that this is included in the sedation cost as it. I ended up paying $177 for her to be "monitored". When my daughter was returned to me, because I was not allowed back, Upon looking at her teeth I was horrified, they looked a million times worse then when she walked in. I expressed my frustration and was told we were given free crowns that have white on the front because insurance only approves completely silver which is 100% false. Not only were her gums destroyed, every single crown in crooked and now she has two large gaps that she did not have prior. Her smile literally looks like a joke, as if she has a pair of plastic teeth that are extremely oversized for her mouth. My biggest issue is I have something to compare this to. When my 11 year old was younger he had the same 4 teeth worked on and I had the same insurance and his crowns looked great, completely white. This work was unacceptable. I am unsure how anyone thought it was ok to return a child to their parent looking like that. The only option I was given was to pay $375 each for the crowns that are white all the way around and of better quality. Even if I was to pay that which I 100% cannot, I am afraid this is unfixable, she will not have these huge gaps until her teeth fall out which hopefully is sooner than later at this point. I am hoping with a second opinion I am able to update you all on if these root canals were even necessary, which I do not believe they were, a simple filling of some sort should have sufficed. Also hoping another pediatric dentist is able to fix this in some way. read more

I found Dr. Haffner through my insurance company, I am glad I did...from the moment my daughter and I walked in we felt like someone cared. The staff there are awesome, they answer my questions and take the time with me. The office is very child friendly it has a cool tree house inside where the kids can go to play on some video games, a chalk board wall to draw on...they also have a "teen" waiting room for the older kids...this is my new pediatric dentist.... read more

I am very disappointed in Dr. Haffner's lack of friendliness and professionalism. I took my daughter there four times and my very nervous son once. The first time was okay. The second wasn't too bad. The office is nice and kid friendly. Half the staff is friendly, while the other half simply tolerates the patients and parents. The third and fourth time (today) was the last straw and the deciding factor in my search for a new dentist. Dr. Haffner is rude and seems easily offended. I declined a service due to finances at the time (daughter's third visit) but she tried to pressure me into letting her do what she was suggesting. I told her I would have to do it another time. She tried to make me feel guilty. Today's visit was worse. When I went back to talk about my children's exam and results she did not greet me but went into a mini tirade about my daughter needing to have the cavity filled because the condition was worse. She then went into dramatics about there could be more damage and how it would cost much more money. I was able to pay for the service today and asked how much it would cost. She was abrupt and told me the business person would let me know all that. She turned to leave without so much as a thank you for your business or anything. The blond dental hygienist was abrupt and impatient with my 11 year old son who, I explained over the phone, was nervous about being at the dentist. I was not allowed to go back with him and questioned about whether I had been there before, implying I should know the rules. My daughter told me on the way home about the hygienist's behavior. My daughter also observed the rude treatment Dr. Haffner displayed to her staff. So now I know it's not just with the patients and parents. I will be finding another pediatric dentist for my children. No one deserves to be treated the way I was treated given the amount of money I pay for what should be professional services! read more

Dr. Haffner and her staff are phenomenal! They are professional, knowledgeable, and so wonderfully sweet to my child. We chose this practice based on the numerous referrals from other parent in the Roswell/Milton/Alpharetta area and we are so glad that we did! My son is 4 and has been coming to see Dr. Haffner for 2 years, we love that he is celebrated every 6 months for keeping his teeth clean and cavity free! He is excited to see his dentist and frequently wears his "no cavity club" around the house. This is a fast food practice, and one that will recommend services regardless of actual need. You'd be amazed how many people are churned in and out of this during the day, like they are on a conveyor belt. My 6 year old had baby teeth that also had permanent teeth beneath growing in, and dentist recommended to pull all 5 front teeth so that the permanent teeth would grow in straight. What??? How on earth would my kid have even been able to chew for the next 2 years had this been done? I went to another dentist for another opinion who said that this was outrageous and would cause more harm and totally unnecessary. That the teeth would fall out when the permanent teeth roots were ready. Dr. Haffner simply wanted to take advantage of my insurance was all. Take your business and insurance elsewhere. It's no wonder why she accepts any and all insurance.I would NEVER return to this practice. read more
