My son was treated at Family Braces in Canton. What should have been a routine braces removal turned into a distressing and costly ordeal. Two days later, we noticed gray discoloration in tooth #11, a clear sign of nerve damage. After reviewing photos from that same day, it was obvious that the damage was already present, yet no one informed us, this was never addressed, even during the second visit when we were there for retainer delivery. As a result, the tooth required an emergency root canal and a crown, procedures that are already distressing, but even more so for a child. The tooth was ultimately replaced with a ceramic fake one, as it was deemed irreparable. This was a significant loss, and to us, it felt as if our child nearly lost the tooth entirely. To make matters worse, we also dealt with administrative errors that impacted our insurance coverage, adding unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. The clinic minimized the issue, attributing the damage to lighting and photo angles instead of acknowledging the obvious problem. This kind of error should never happen to any child, and it is essential to be vigilant, observe closely, and question everything during dental procedures. We were referred to Dr. Elchahal from a co-worker when we moved from VA. My daughter was in the middle of orthodontic treatment at the time. We really liked our orthodontist in VA, but realized how much better Dr. Elchahal was once we started taking our daughter there. He saw some items that our first orthodontist missed, and given the nature of her course of treatment, we were very happy that he did! We didn't hesitate to go to Dr. Elchahal when our son needed braces. We mentioned the concerns that the school speech therapist had about our son to Dr. Elchahal and he helped us understand the issue further and the course of treatment complimented what the speech therapist was working on at school. We have been seeing Dr Elchahal for years now for both of our boys. After years of watching and waiting, one of our sons just got his braces on last week. We love coming to the office! Everyone is very friendly and have made the boys feel very comfortable. Dr. Elchahal has been very conservative in watching and waiting until the perfect time to get the braces put on. Before coming to Dr. Elchahal, we were referred to another Orthodontist by my sons Dentist who wanted to put braces on my then 10 year old immediately and use some very invasive means to bring some teeth in. We then took him to Dr. Elchahal where my other son had been getting evaluations since he was 7 (now 10 and still waiting) and are so pleased that we did. He is now 12 and we have just started treatment and it has been a great experience. They think of everything and really educate the patients and parents. My experience with Dr.Elchahal and team has always been wonderful. I had braces as a child, but as I got older in my adult years my teeth moved horribly. I had been looking for an orthodontist who did invisalign. I contacted orthodontists in my area but wasn't to thrilled about them so when I started doing some research on the internet I found Dr. Elchahal website and seemed very pleased so I called to make an appointment. Having endured orthodontia twice in my life, I appreciate the investment Dr. Elchahal has made in the technology in his office, which made visualizing how my children's teeth were going to look after treatment effortless. I dreaded what the cost would be for two kids in braces at the same time, but Dr. E's staff was very easy to work with; they worked with my insurance and worked out a plan that fit my budget. Most of all, I appreciate Dr. E for overestimating how long treatment would take; only one year in and at least one child is getting the braces off ahead of schedule. My daugher and I are both patients of Dr. Elchahal and Dr. Moore. They are "best in their field" professionals, and have assembled a highly competent and very friendly & caring staff. Dr. Elchahal has an extensive network of professionals with whom he partners. My daughter has just completed corrective upper jaw surgery performed by Dr. Christian Loetscher, who was a referral from Dr. Elchahal. The two doctors consulted with each other over a 14 month period prior to the surgery to prepare her teeth (through braces) for the surgery. I more than loved the staff that worked in the back at Dr. Elchahal's office. If you decide to go to get your braces done at any of his offices ask for Whitney Petty!! She is simply the best! She was gentle with putting on, and taking off my braces, and always had a smile on her face. Dr. Elchahal and his office has been my son's Orthodontist for couple of years now. He had his braces done for his lower and upper teeth. Both of my children are seen at this office. I have had a great experience so far. Recently my son broke his appliance badly. It was in need of emergency repair because he couldn't eat. Our normal office was closed for the day. KARA was so nice as to come in on her day off and open the office just for us so I didn't have to drive the long drive to the Cumming office which was open. She was able to repair the appliance and get him comfortable quickly. I was so relieved. I really felt that was a nice personal touch. Dr Elchahal is a great and honest Ortho. I took my son to 4 different orthos for consults before going to Dr Elchahal. In every appointment I had I was quoted $10,000.00 in work for 2 stages. I decided after a referral to try one more Ortho. Dr Elchahal did not want to do 2 stages of work even though it meant more money for his practice. He decided to monitor my son for 1 year before doing any work or starting any. After all of that I moved to Miami, FL. I fly my son to Georgia every 3 months to see Dr Elchahal for his follow up appointments because I did not want to start over. read more

Dr. Elchahal and his staff are excellent. We've been very happy with our experience here (two of my children have had braces). The staff is friendly and attentive, and on one occasion one of the orthodontic assistants met us at the office after hours (on her day off!) because my daughter was in pain due to a misplaced wire. The office routinely has fun contests and challenges for the kids (with prizes), and generally tries to make orthodontic visits fun. Last week I got my braces. At first, I was feeling very nervous and didn't know what to expect. However, a little further into the journey, I found out it wasn't so bad after all.
