My daughter and son in law were married this past April. I waited 3 months to write this review because I thought I would be less emotional, but; unfortunately; I am even more disappointed. When we met with the owner we stated we didn't want candid shots. Ask the guest to pose and snap. Why, because I didn't want many pictures of backs. After much discussion, we agreed on this studio for the wedding. The owner said we would need 2 photographers for this size wedding and we agreed. BASIC 101 photography wasn't applied. Here are some examples, while reviewing the photos #1 I said "that's an odd angle for the picture". My daughter said it was taken by the 2nd photographer while we were posing for the other photographer. WHY WASN'T THE 2ND PHOTOGRAPHER AT THE COCKTAIL PARTY Getting photos of guests? Minimal photos were taken at the cocktail hour. Which would have been the perfect opportunity to capture many of the requested photos on our list. 2nd example; as the wedding family are all caught up in the excitement of the day the ceremony begins - It is the photographer who should take the lead and orchestrate our stopping for a second or two and posing for his picture as we each walk down the aisle. NOPE didn't happen. We have photos of heads down as the grandparents and significant other party members are escorted down the aisle. #3 - mom and dad kiss daughter at the alter. THIS PHOTO IS TAKEN FROM THE BACK. #4 Photographer tells bride, I have more on my list of photos you need. She is overwhelmed and says forget it. EVERYONE KNOWS NOT TO STRESS THE BRIDE ask a bridal party/family member. Well, the photographer didn't and there is NOT ONE PHOTO OF THE GRANDPARENTS (who are in their 90s!) with the bride and groom. #5 We asked for table shots so that we would be assured that everyone was included. He tells us this isn't usually done anymore but if that's what we want, no problem. Well, between the two photographers they took 2 maybe 3 posed photo shots at tables. We had the DJ provide a selfie booth (not thru the photographer) we were able to find many posed, fun photos of people who would otherwise be missing from any pictures. Mind you, this isn't where we thought we would need to capture what the photographer missed. He was creative when it came to taking photos from the roof. But guy #2 got all our backs. And the roof shots were of everyone's backs as well. One or two roof shots would have been cool, but; then come back down and get some close ups. Nope, didn't happen. Was I able to create an album? Of course, the photos he/they did take are beautiful, but many many uncaptured loving moments are missing. Most notably the ones aforementioned. Very disappointed and would never recommend this photographer to anyone. read more
