I was referred by Dr. Stanley Harper at the Avon location to Dr. Greg Chernoff. I did my initial…read moreconsultation in July with Jamie the patient coordinator. She took before and after (photoshopped) photos and told me what to expect and we reviewed the costs. If I waited until October or later there was a prospective discount that might be available. I was willing to wait for that possibility. In September an availability became open with the aforementioned discount. Then I met with the doctor, head nurse, and Jamie again at my next appointment. Both Dr Greg Chernoff and Nurse Julie have been doing these procedures that I was selecting for 30 years. I was comfortable with everything they were telling me. My only concern was for the length of time for me personally to heal at that point. I figured it might be longer than normal due to my age. Everybody was extremely helpful and made me 100% comfortable with their process and procedures. Since I lived an hour away, they asked if I had time and we decided to do the the pre-op appointment at the same time. I learned my surgery was going to take five hours which is the longest I've ever been under general anesthesia. During the following week, I was able to get approvals from my primary care physician as well as the specialist that sees me for my worst chronic disease and get her approval too. The anesthesiologist approved the procedure with a weekend phone call. Nurse Julie had called me on the prior Sunday to review a lot of information as well. These people really go above and beyond what I am used to in the medical profession. Dr. Chernoff absolutely goes way beyond any expectations you would have to a point you have to tell your friends and family how amazingly he stands by his statement of "we're going to take real good care of you" which he stated to me several times before my surgery. He came through for me 1000% on everything. On my day of surgery, Wednesday September 28, I left the waiting area and went back to the pre-op bed on time and soon Dr. Chernoff visited me to go over what lay ahead. I had a couple of questions about recovery expectations. Then Dr. Himebstein, my anesthesiologist, came to review my medications, my blood work, and ask questions about my medical history. I did not have any questions for him because he covered everything so thoroughly. I woke up six hours later and Nurse Ellen took care of me for the rest of the day and all night. I was her only patient to take care of. There was one other overnight patient but he too had his own nurse. Soft drinks, snacks , and pain meds were available for whenever you needed them. Dinner was provided by a delivery service from Jimmy John's. I had Teddy Grahams for dessert. In the morning, I got checked out earlier than expected after visiting with Dr. Chernoff again. He again reaffirmed everything wet smoothly and I told him I was happy with the results. As a matter of fact the pain threshold was much lower than I had expected. We confirmed my next appointments for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings. I ended up checking into the Drury Plaza Hotel, only two stop lights from Chernoff Cosmetic Surgery, on Friday so I didn't have an hour commute every day and needless stress over I-465 daily traffic. I had thought about this plan before the surgery so I was prepared. Corinne, a 15 year employee, saw me every day except weekends and helped me immensely in the office with my post operative recovery on the following Friday, then Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the following week. Dr Chernoff referred me to the Hyperbaric Oxygen Clinic for four oxygen treatments which helped with my healing and recovery immensely. I completed the four daily consecutive treatments on Friday, October 7th, as well as nine daily consecutive appointments with Chernoff Cosmetic Surgery on the same Friday. On Monday, October 10th, the rest of my sutures were removed. My healing and recovery are right on schedule. Now I will be seen once a week for the next month, then once a month for a few months. I'm still completely satisfied with the results, and with Dr. Chernoff and his awesome staff! Once I am completely healed, I will upload a new profile photo and you all can tell me what you think (if anyone is still reading my longest review, lol). See if you can figure out what procedures (2) I had done.

Sex: F / DOB: January 1971 / Surgeon: Dr. Robert D. Lewis / Revision Rhinoplasty…read more On January 13, 2021, Dr. Robert D. Lewis of Canfield, OH, performed revision rhinoplasty on me at the Gillian Institute in Indianapolis, IN. The results were and continue to be disastrous. After contacting a lawyer about suing for his medical license--something I'd never done before in my life--I discovered Mr. Lewis had already been sued at least 10 TIMES in the state of Indiana. He's mysteriously won every lawsuit, including a case where the tip of a woman's nose turned black and *fell off of her face* after Lewis performed surgery on her. I'd had rhinoplasty in my home state at age 14 which turned out beautifully. I loved the results, and the teasing stopped at school. When I moved to Indiana at 40, I developed severe allergies and mild asthma. Local Lafayette, IN, ENT Dr. Joseph Bremmer suggested septoplasty to increase my nasal cavity space and assured me it would not affect aesthetics. He was wrong on both accounts, and his surgery left me with nasal valve collapse. A different ENT told me rhinoplasty would be the only way to restore my breathing, which is why I sought Dr. Robert D. Lewis in the first place. Mr. Lewis had excellent online reviews. Even now (Feb 2023), when I look on sites like Real Self dot com and Health U.S. News dot com, all I see are highly curated five-star reviews for a man who should never be allowed to perform surgery again. I've personally learned those sites cannot be trusted. Moving forward, Yelp and Google are probably the only reviews I'll take into consideration. Robert D. Lewis of Canfield, OH, and the Gillian Institute of Indianapolis, IN (run by Dr. Kimberly Short) should not be allowed to perform rhinoplasties on anyone, ever again. Lewis never showed up for ANY of our post-op appointments, and the people who work at the Gillian Institute know what a horrific 'doctor' Lewis is. I've now paid an extra $25K in an attempt to restore my aesthetical nose and nasal airways, but Lewis decimated my nose so badly that restoration may never be possible. I never want anyone else to go through what I did with Dr. Robert D. Lewis of Canfield, OH, and the Gillian Institute of Indianapolis, IN, and I hope this review saves someone from Lewis' traumatic hammer & chisel. I also hope he loses his medical license. He's not fit to perform rhinoplasties, period.

This was an awesome choice. Dr. Gerstein's team set up an appointment within a week and were super easy to call and schedule with. The actual office is called Meridian Dermatology. Dr. Gerstein himself was super down to earth, relatable and smart. I had a long list of questions and he was able to answer all of them in simple, understandable ways. I'd done a lot of research on skincare as well, and he was able to debunk and explain every topic I brought up. He didn't seem to be in a rush and was super open and honest. He had a student helping him and she was super sweet and also very smart too. He let her step in and explain a few things and it was clear that she knew her info. They gave me incredible advice and wanted a follow up appointment in a month. In the past, I've felt like some doctors just prescribe pills every time you have a question or problem. Dr. Gerstein did prescribe medication, but we went back and forth about possible solutions and which path is best, etc. I feel really good about the plan we decided on and completely trust him. Thankful!!!

The lady I spoke with was actually very nice and left the room and said the doctor would be in shortly. Next thing I know some different woman is knocking on the door saying time for your full body shots. I was very confused. She brought me into a room and just very rudely said please get fully naked. I was extremely uncomfortable and I finally just did it while she took photos of me. Next thing I'm back in the room and it took awhile for Bruce to still come in, but I wish he never showed up because I have never been treated so badly in my entire life. It's like I was being mentally abused. The second he came in he shook my hand and squeezed extremely hard. Then he put his foot up on the armrest of my chair. I thought that was extremely odd but continued on. He then asked me to take my robe off which I did just on my top part and he said when was the last time you had kids! I said never. He said oh your breast look like they have! I felt so bad about myself. He then asked me to take my robe off completely and was saying I needed to lose weight and that I should get on Trizepatide. Now I am 137 and he told me I need to lose 40 pounds and then come back for the procedure. I would look extremely unhealthy if I lost that much weight! He then continued saying extremely disrespectful comments. I said my husband thinks my body is perfect and he said oh! He's supposed to say that, I can assure you it's not. He then said comments about my tuberous breast saying it's like one is a long distance cousin removed. I felt so horrible about myself I cried when I left and I'm already dealing with depression from my hashimotos thyroid disease. I wish he wouldn't have said such horrible comments like that. He has a terrible bedside manner and I will not be ever coming back here. After reading other women's comments about the same abuse I feel so bad for them as well. I'm trying to get over the insults but that kind of stuff sits with you. Getting people to come to your establishment by tearing them down is unethical and disturbing. I work in healthcare and this would never be tolerated at the hospital. Absolutely terrible.

From my initial consult, I knew that I wanted her to perform my surgery. She answered every question that I had and knew exactly the look that I was going for. She asked me about ME and I loved that. I had a consult with another doctor a few years ago and felt like just a number there. Not so with Dr. Siwy. Had a wonderful experience at the surgery center as well! I had a VERY substantial lift (Dr. Siwy said that my "pre" surgery were some of the worst she had ever seen...happens after losing 150 pounds) and did have openings form at the anchor point under each breast. They were very accommodating to fit me in to be seen and didn't make me feel silly for being nervous. Even sent me home with supplies to dress the areas myself. One other board certified plastic surgeon said yes he would do the job but then three months later I was still not on his schedule. Dr. Siwy was recommended by a woman who had Dr. Siwy do her breast reconstruction surgery after cancer. Six years later she is still extremely pleased. Dr. Siwy was described as a "surgeon's surgeon" by another physician. I couldn't agree more. My contact with Dr. Siwy and staff from first exam, through the insurance approval process, the surgery, and follow up until I was released from care has been exceptional. My surgery wasn't easy, I had scar tissue from 5 previous biopsies in which fibroid tumors were removed on the right breast and 4 previous biopsies on the left breast. I also needed special care from the anesthesiologist. I was told that Dr. Siwy is very particular who is in the room with her when she works. And, I am happy with the great job by Dr. Carelli of Northside Anesthesia I am ecstatic to have this surgery completed and the results are awesome.
