Upon entering the facility, we found a relaxing environment with only a few other people waiting. There were plenty of staff on hand who were friendly and helpful. After filling out the required paperwork, we were taken right in. Doctor Line and a Physician assistant were in within 5 minutes. Dr. Line was friendly and upbeat. He suggested a cortisone shot, but we told him that my dad was also being treated for cancer and would need approval from his cancer Dr. What Dr. Line did next, I've never seen before. He asked who my dad's cancer Dr. was, he then texted her and got approval on the spot to administer the cortisone. Truly above and beyond! Thank you to the whole team. The whole experience was stellar!

I have never been disrespected so badly at a doctor's office before my experience today at this…read moreoffice. I had an appointment with Dr. Rick Seabolt and his nurse, Jamie (front desk told me that was her name) for hip stiffness. The front desk ladies were very nice when I checked in for my appointment. When Jamie came and got me to take me back she immediately said we'll take x-rays of my hips, and I was confused as to why we would jump to x-rays when I hadn't talked to her or the clinician as to why I was there. She said that was how they normally did things, and I continued asking questions because I was simply confused at what the cost would be and why x-rays were indicated. She was off-put by my questions, said I could talk to the doctor first, and put me in an exam room and left the door open. She walks off to a desk nearby next to a 2nd woman and proceeds to mock me in a cruel tone with rude gestures by saying "I refuse to take x-rays without speaking to the doctor first". I was so shocked in seeing them continue to talk horribly about me, they then both turn to look at me, see that I just saw that whole interaction, and the 2nd woman approaches immediately justifying why they do x-rays first. I said ok I was just confused and concerned with what the extra cost would be for them, and this woman became increasingly more rude and aggressive in how she was talking to me and started to talk over me (sadly, I did not get her name to mention in this review). At the end of the conversation I said ok I'll take the x-rays now before seeing the doctor, feeling completely blindsided by this horrible interaction, then Jamie came back into the room to take my history. I was so incredibly dumbfounded that this just happened and I told her I do not appreciate the aggressiveness and rudeness that just occurred. She brushed it off and left me to wait for the doctor. Dr. Seabolt was very nice and we had a brief conversation why I was there and what value x-rays would do for my visit. I mentioned to him I was confused about taking x-rays first, but did not tell him the rude interaction that just occurred. After the x-rays he gave me suggestions for 2 stretches for my hips and then I left. Overall, I will not be going back to this office. Horrible, horrible experience.

I'd give Dr. Veazey five stars, but since I figure he's responsible for the front desk staff too,…read moreit's dropping to four. See, he's awesome. I should know; I've had identical surgeries by two different doctors in the past six months. His approach to the rehab aspect of surgery so far has really worked well for me. From the choice of surgical staples rather than stitches, to the use of a partial splint rather than a full cast, all his decisions have led to faster rehab for me and less pain than my first wrist surgery. My initial meeting with him to assess the break and schedule the surgery had me loving the fact that he treated me like a person, as did his nurse, Rylene. My displeasure with the experience has nothing to do with Dr. Veazey personally, but with his inept, rude staff in charge of appointments and questions. See, I made the (apparently) egregious mistake of asking for a downgrade in medication from narcotic to non-narcotic. After being asked several very personal questions as to why I'd want to change my medication, I was told, "Well, it doesn't matter anyway, since the doctor and his nurse are on vacation until Tuesday [a week away]." Since I was only three days post-surgery, I said, "Surely there is someone covering for Dr. Veazey in his absence who can help me," and she said, "NO." Which is ridiculous. So I called a CRNA who had been super-sweet to me during the surgery (pre- and post-), Debbie Hlavin of Brazos Anesthesiology Associates, and she called over there and got them to pull their heads out of their asses. In a nutshell. And then when I went in for my post-op appointment with Dr. V, his front desk hag goes, "I'm gonna need your picture!" and BLAMMO thrusts a camera in my face and starts shooting. Which pissed me off, because I'd neither consented nor was ready for a photo. She looked at my face and goes, "Jeez, SORRY." And slammed the glass window shut. The only thing that kept me from going postal was probably yes, painkillers. For which those bitches should be grateful. Other than that, Dr. Veazey is a really good choice if you have to make the tough decision to find an orthopedic surgeon. He's super-competent, has great personal skills, and I really like his nurse.
