In January, I was a bit shocked to pay out of pocket over $700 for an office visit and in-office regional steroid injection for my shoulder. When calling billing to inquire, I was met with a lack of knowledge or concern. For the same treatment at OhioHealth (Grant bone and joint center) a few weeks ago- I am paying $205 and when I called about the billing, they were pleasant, helpful and informative. The 2 hours drive time is obviously and sadly worth it. Where is Genesis coming up with these exorbitant facility fees and room fees for a plain old exam room? Call first thing in morning and 90 minutes later I still get no call back so I drive to office. Office tells me to take dad to the ER for his pain.. they won't help us. So they take our $45 co pay, lie to us as we leave and only tell us we're out of luck when I show up the next day.
