He carefully observes, listens, and then seems to instinctively know precisely what to do to relieve my pain and properly align my body's musculoskeletal structure. He has a wonderful disposition and treats me as an individual, not a number in a long line-up of other patients. Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy was very helpful after my big toe was broken and ligaments torn from a bad fall in 2017. Bottom line: Dr. Hoover makes it easier for my body to heal itself without the need for surgery or medication.

DR KEMPF LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE!! PLEASE READ!! This man…read morewas nothing short of an absolute miracle and God send to me and my family. At the time I met him I was preparing to put my career on a permanent hold, move back in with my parents and make the best of my remaining time. I had what they called the Million dollar work up at the Cleveland Clinic, went through and was seen by the head of virtually every department at the Clinic and everyone was puzzled. I was one of those mystery cases where despite best efforts and exploratory surgeries the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and over a 10 year period things continued to get very very drastically worse. As a last and final straw before moving back in with my parents and going on permanent disability for something we couldn't figure out was wrong with me we went to Dr Kempf. He on the same day identified what the issue was with the kindest and sweetest of approaches (he literally has PERFECT bedside manner) and within 6 to 10 visits I was healed and havent been sick since (its been over 8 years now). This was of course using the N. A. E. T. program that he has. To further prove that he is a genius and the best of the best when it comes to this I sadly had a friend who experienced different symptoms than me and I insisted that she go and see him and that he might be able to help. She had been sick for over 15 years and most days couldnt get out of bed let alone take care of her children. She finally took my advice and went to see him, she is now 100% recovered as well!! Dr Kempf is someone I have ALSO seen for my chiropractic needs. It came as no surprise after my experience with NAET with him that he was also the best chiropractor I had ever seen as well. I owe my life to this guy... he has been nothing short of absolutely incredible not only to me and several of my family members but has been a God send to the multiple people I have referred over to him as well. Not many days go by that I dont think of grateful I am for what he did for me. I couldnt possibly ever find a way to put it into words on properly thank him.

I did not bring up this topic and was mostly staying quiet to get him to stop talking. He was extremely condescending and rude when I responded to something he said. He obviously did not hold much empathy for any underrepresented groups, but regardless if his opinions would be agreed with or not, it was unprofessional for him to be talking about it while I had no choice but to listen. He was also so distracted with his rant that he worked on the wrong set of muscles! I felt unsafe and I am never returning here.

This is Great Lakes Health & Wellness new location in Ohio City which opened in the summer of 2021…read more Their original location is in Westlake and I've been to their Westlake location a couple of times. SERVICES -- They have acupuncture, back and neck chiropractic adjustments, massages, X-Ray imaging, etc. I visited this new location on 4 November 2021 for a Chiropractic back adjustment and then I came back on 9 November 2021 for a Deep Tissue Massage (full body) with Derek. Both services went great especially the massage because the massage was a whole full hour. Dr. Andy who does the chiropractic adjustments here is great. He doesn't pressure me to sign up for any packages and he listens to my concerns and questions about my back. INSURANCE -- The only problem that I have is that they don't have a good system to accept health insurance. Even if you have a health insurance plan, they will only accept it if the total cost of your chiropractic service is below (or above?) a certain dollar amount. Well, I suppose you can blame the insurance companies for this too. Example, if your insurance plan only covers a chiropractor visit that costs $70 and up, then you can't use your insurance plan at Great Lakes. PRICING -- Previously, a chiropractic adjustment was $45 but as of 2022, it is now $50 which is expensive because an adjustment takes less than 3 minutes. Prior to the adjustment; however, patients are asked to sit on the wobble chair to warm up their spine. I recommend Great Lakes Health and Wellness for your chiropractic needs. I visited this Ohio City location a few times in 2022 for adjustments and I want to start coming more often to maintain a healthy back spine. **** - 41/150 total reviews in 2022 - 519 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 4 April 2022
