And I was totally shocked to find dress pants that actually fit! They carry a French brand called Renaur, which are made of a stretchy material. No zipper or belt loops, just a pull-up waist -- and since they're stretchy, they mold very nicely and are super comfortable! I wouldn't wear them for something formal like an interview, but for regular work clothes, hallelujah, pants that fit! I picked up a pair in gray to try, and I liked them so much that I came back a few days later to get another pair. However, when I called after work to be sure they had the style, size, and color that I wanted, the lady who answered the phone seemed a little confused, and quickly assured me that they had lots in stock. Ok, great. I drove out there (this place is waaaay out of my zone) and got some help sorting through the stack in my size. One pair after another was rejected for color and style -- they come in a skinny leg, but I liked the straight leg much better. I finally ended up with a brown pair, but I was disappointed not to find the black pair I had come in for. I mean, that's why I called ahead! Overall, this is a cute little store. They've got some unique items (though I'll be honest, there's some stuff that was straight-up ugly), and were friendly and helpful, for the most part. If you live out that way, I'd say it's worth stopping in.

Lots of tight-fitted, sharply-tailored clothes. Lots of form-fitting stuff. If you're into that kind of a thing and you tend to be naturally petite and have a decent budget, this store is for you. Personally, I tend to find that the items are a tad overpriced for what they are. I've been so close to buying, then I remind myself that I will not be waltzing down Rodeo Drive anytime soon or clubbing with the girls from 'The Hills'. I have a bunch of dogs. I'm a mess. This had been my favorite clothing store for many years. I live near the Germantown, TN location,…read moreand I loved the fact that they had petites and misses in the same building(I am in between) My husband has been buying me a fairly hefty gift card to Talbots for Christmas for years, and I've enjoyed using it throughout the year. I've noticed that in recent years the quality and styles have, in my opinion, gone downhill. What they call their "Oprah Collection" has been especially tacky...nothing like what I think Oprah would wear. Right before the stores closed due to the Corona virus, I bought a couple of things in the Germantown store using my card. Without my knowledge or permission, the sales person converted my gift card to a "store credit." I didn't realize this had happened until I tried to buy something online after all the stores were closed, and was told I had a zero balance on my gift card, which should still have had $650.00 +. After an hour and a half chatting online, I found I could not use the credit online. The person helping me finally agreed to issue a new gift card. I went to the Germantown store recently, and when I started to make a purchase using the card the sales person again wanted to convert my card to a merchandise credit. Unfortunately, I also had a disagreement with the sales person about our feelings about the Corona virus and she behaved in an extremely rude manner to me. I won't go back to the Germantown, TN, store, and I'm telling my husband not to buy me another Talbots card.
