They will not deliver to your house, but they do wrap up the foliage so its easy for you (or a strong friend) to carry back home. They also have some sales, and should there not be much of a crowd, they might even be open to some bargaining. The trees are very good quality, with fresh and green leaves that give off this lovely smoky aroma that reminds you of the festive season. So go get one before they sell out!

It's a genuinely friendly place, the indoor barn is warmed by a barrel stove/wood burner so it's cosy and welcoming inside. Easy parking out front. went to smiths today!!!!!!!!!I had a great experience ,we needed to get some plants for the garden…read moreand we were really sucsessful today.I was really pleased with the experience today.There were thousands of plants in the garden centre,there were a lot in the inside area and an absolute abundance of plants outside.Also all plants were well kept and very watered,actually helped me keep cool in all this heat,they obviously take pride in each and every one of their plants.Also there is so much stock of everything(plants and non-plants).This has really pleased me as I've seen some garden centres which has hardly any plants and they are all neglected.However in this garden centre,they even have Christmas trees in June,but I suppose today(the day I wrote my review)is only 6 months till Christmas Eve!!!!!!!!!But I cannot see why you can't have a Christmas tree in June if you want to.I brought 3 small ones!!!!!!!!!Also I've been to garden centres in Christmas and they haven't had christmas trees.Also they were really well staffed as well,and our cashier was polite and even offered for someone to help us load the car.Also the smiths golf thing right at the back of the garden centre looks great and I'm sure will make a lot of money for the garden centre.Also their drive thru concept to collect soil was good and very well thought out,it's like a McDonald's drive thru but you show you're receipt to staff and then drive on to get the soil.Lovely experience!!!!!!!!

It offers an extremely comprehensive range of products. Staff in the outside area can be hard to find but there are knowledgeable staff available if you need advice as I did when selecting a fruit tree for my garden. The level of customer service is high, I was surprised to discover that if you buy a heavy bag of fertiliser or compost it will be taken to your car on an electric carrier! So all in all a recommended place to go for garden supplies and products.

Entrance fee for adults is £4 and children 2-16 is £2 (see my picture for opening times). A really fun few hours out to feed the animals with buckets of food you can also buy at the entrance. Most of the time there are free roaming Lambs to stroke and hand feed right in front of you, plus there's many of animals to hand feed from Llamas, Sheep, Emu, Goats, Alpaca, Cows, Donkeys, Miniature Shire Horses, Pigs, Ducks, Chickens and horses plus small birds and you can also buy fresh plants for your gardens too. so if are ever in the area of Downe (near Biggin Hill) it truly is fantastic, especially for a young child's first animal encounter.

Everyone I talked to was hugely knowledgeable about the plants they sold, and were able to tell me which plants were appropriate for the different parts of our garden. There is a huge selection of garden statues, which my older son loves wandering through. Our family was very loyal to this place for Christmas trees--the selection was always vast and the trees were just gorgeous. Okay, so we paid a quid or two more than, say, Homebase, but to me it was worth it to see the trees (Homebase wraps theirs in netting) in all their glory, plus the trees just seemed nicer, greener, more hearty. This is a true gardener's nursery, don't come here if you're looking for the mountains of tat many nurseries have started to sell, but if you're looking for good quality and variety in your plants, please give this place a go.
