Welcome to Christine's Sewing and Alterations. Why do I sew? When I was small my mother made many things for my family and our home, mostly because she couldn't afford to buy what she needed- but she knew how to make and mend what we needed or already had. She passed many useful skills on to me and my siblings, one of which was sewing and mending! I have been sewing since I was 8 years old and sewing for others for over 20 years! We, as humans, get attached to things-especially our clothes. Then when they need mending but are still usable, we want to keep using them! Or, we need something specific, but don't know how to make it, or make it fit us, then here is where I come in!
