He took X-rays of my tooth from every side, with a lot of attention. My tooth had no damage. I did not need the work. He could have agreed with the other, done unnecessary work and scam me out of $2,000.00. I know that he cares about me and does his best for me. I've sent a few people to him and they all "love" him. Dr. Sclafani has definitely been THE BEST DENTIST I've ever been to in my life. Now I've been to quite a few (6 to be exact) because I'm not the easiest patient to work with, but I told Dr. Sclafani and he told me not to worry. The reason I'm not worrying is because I found my new life long dentist! I didn't find him on Yelp, but I hope everyone who finds him here will trust him with your teeth, like I did. I had 3 cavities filled and he made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. He even started to clean out the tooth I was going to get a root canal for because he's the best! As soon as I stepped in the office I felt comfortable. It was more inviting than my primary care M.D. with free WiFi to boot! The receptionist was friendly, upbeat, and very accommodating considering I have not been to a dentist in quite a bit of time. I was seen quickly and the hygienist was extremely personable. She knew I was anxious and explained each step and made great conversation to ease my fears. At no point did I feel uncomfortable and Dr. Raimondi even personally visited me to review my experience as well as explain a few things regarding my x-rays. All of the staff were very friendly and thorough. I'm very regular about my dentist visits (every 6 months) and have seen a couple different ones the past few years from moving around states - but Chung and his staff were able to identify a dead tooth/infection that I apparently had for a few years (they could tell it's been there a while based on the size of the infection growth shown in the x-rays). I'll need to get a root canal procedure to stop the infection from spreading! I'm appalled that my past dentists never caught this. They also pointed out several minor cavities & teeth grinding, and gave me suggestions on what I could do to solve those issues - ex. Filling the cavities, getting a mouth guard, and general tips on how I can be eating/brushing better to avoid these problems. The office lady also said she would check with my insurance to see what my out of pockets cost were and let me know, so that I could decide if I'd like to proceed with coming back for the additional work needed. I'll come back to update my review then, but great impression so far!
