The APRN Izzo seemed good. Different APRN each time and do not recall meeting with a physician…read more Some (not all) of the staff are aweful. If you are looking for an advocate for a health issue, this is not the place. Lab results took a month to complete, when I was told that they would likely take about 4 days. They were not willing to reach out to the lab. They were not willing to retest and send to a different lab. To them this is a job, not a passion. After being ill for over a month and coming in twice, with no progress (no new tests, no new medication, no ideas). The third time, I was late exactly 10 minutes because I was printing lab results that, had finally, just arrived (after approx 1 month) and I knew that they would not have them, and I thought it would be helpful to bring them. I was told that they have a late policy and could not see me. There was no one else in the office.

She has a high level of expertise and has helped me tremendously to manage and/or resolve a number of health issues. She is very easy to talk to about any symptoms, issues, etc and I feel that she really listens, unlike some doctors I've worked with. She values the doctor-patient relationship. I know sometimes it's better to meet in person but I love the telehealth appointments since I have a bit of a drive to get to her office. (I would love it even if I didn't have the drive) I will likely continue via telehealth even when it's no longer a necessity, it's just so much easier.

By far the worst experience with a doctors office. My father needs a certain diabetes medication…read morethat he has been on for years, his insurance said they would cover it if they received a prior authorization from the Dr. Silverman. Instead of contacting the insurance company to find out out the generic medicine they would cover, they left it to us to call. Leaving him with no refills left, his sugar levels are very high at this point that he has to pay out of pocket for the medication. We finally find out from the insurance company they can keep him on the same medication that he has been on for years, if they receive the prior authorization. However Dr. Silverman instead of doing that decides he should just go with generic medicine Which we have now come to find out it has not been controlling his sugar levels. We have asked her to send the prior authorization in order to file a claim for out of pocket expenses. However the office says she is too busy to call it in and will only accept a fax. I have asked for them to retrieve the fax from their Bloomfield office Which is the number Caremark has but to No avail. It has been two months now, they said they will only accept a fax to the South Windsor office, Which is not in Caremarks system. Just going in circles at this point, when all she needs to do is take one minute to call the prior authorization line. She has now put him on another medication that is not controlling his sugar levels, she just seems to be playing around with medications instead of putting him on the medication that has worked for years. Stay away from this place, horrible experience!
