I am beyond picky... blame that on my Dad who pretty much could fix anything but always said if you're going to do it, do it the right way once. Saying this I had THE best experience with Christiansen Garage Doors. He returned my call promptly and was able to install new stripping on the sides within a few days. He had to order the rubber piece for the bottom and installed that a week later as well as replaced a few missing screws and lubed everything up. Called on a Saturday to leave a message my garage door opener chain had broken. John the owner answered. He was able to fit me in on Monday afternoon. John was very methodical at identifying a chain link had broken and caused the entire cable/chain to disconnect. He had it replaced, lubricated and working better than new in a very short time. The best garage door installer in the Southbay. John Miller (the owner) and his nephew Nick installed our brand new sectional garage door and a new opener to replace the old scissors type door. The garage itself is old , has low ceiling and has no clearance for conventional chain drive system. John recommended the side mounted Liftmaster 3800. I did not know this thing existed. Super cool. The installation was quick, very neat, clean and professional. Amazing. I tried to get help from big box stores and the guys there were not helpful at all and asked me to call their service numbers. No more ! John also did correct things. The eye sensor received direct sunlight during certain hours of the day. John came back and repositioned the sensor away from the sun (more inside) and things have been working flawlessly for the past 5 months. Thanks John and Nick ! read more

Had an appointment for an estimate on a repair or a garage door replacement for Wednesday from 10 to noon. 3:00pm came before we got a call from the technician. Gave us an excuse that he was at a job in the a.m. and it took longer than expected. Hmmm, a simple cell phone call to say that he cannot make it for estimate would have been appreciated since my wife wasted half of her day waiting at home for the appointment. 2 stars are for the reply for estimate. After receiving a quote of $600. to repair our broken garage door, we called Christiansen Garage Doors for a second estimate and we are so very, very glad we did. John, of Christiansen Garage Door, came out and took the time to explain what was necessary and why. In the end, John saved us over $400. and we plan to have him service and or repair our roll up garage door going forward. By the way the $600.00 quote came from Precision Door Service; the repairman first started at $650.00 then when we balked and said we need to get another estimate he offered to reduce it by $150.00. Christiansen Garage Doors is the only one to call to install garage doors! We purchased a new garage door a little over a year ago along with Lift Master remote controls for all our cars. Unfortunately, one of the controls broke and no amount of reprogramming would get it to work. John Miller, owner of Christiansen Garage Doors, replaced the faulty control for free and even dropped off the new one at my home saving me the time to drive over to Gardena.
